  8. It's there to be bounced off
  9. Woman here at work has one, I love the standard equipment and the look, she says it's fun to drive. But I can't see them being mod friendly with the ECU and the fact it's FWD
  10. Took my car there for a dyno run, the guy that looked at my car that day knew R34's fairly well and seemed more than capable of tuning my ROM, which they will be doing soon. He picked things I knew were an issue that aren't obvoious unless you know R34's and they way the ECU operates. That gave me instant confidence in them. I can't speak for the other guys that work there as I didn't deal with anyone else. R33's can use the R32 chipped ROM, you just need to swap over 2 pins on the ECU for it to operate in the R33. Easy fix
  11. Fuel cut defender will sort it out. If you can get one that can be set to around 5.0V you don't lost too much resolution of your fuel MAP and it won't require much retuning of your SAFC
  12. haha I have a mamoth amount of gauges on the way, I've got to ditch the factory triple gauges and install a 3 gauge DIN to get them all in. They're defi quality, have the link system as well, but damn don't cost anything like the defi's Also I may or may not be a local supplier of said gauges
  13. There is a place in QLD that can perform a process on normal rims to look like carbon fibre...super rice, but possible
  14. Can people stop calling it *the* Family, it sounds *the* gay
  15. lol a passenger tried to tell me that as well "damn jap crap" Showed them how magical it was that I could turn the A/C off with a stab of my foot
  16. Yep sure did Mattski, I'll get onto teh posse and see what floats everyones boat
  17. stir that pot, stir it like a bitch being stirred by a big bitch-stirring spoon!!!!
  18. Comostas bitches!!!
  19. Not to mention a million other things that you lose the second you try this option, why wouldn't you just chip the R34 board and get a tune for $1000?????
  20. Yup must be that they're not a good fit
  21. Soldering is safe as long as you you're good with the soldering iron and can get it on neatly and fast
  22. Sorry, I jsut realised they ones you're talking about. I did the same thing as the guy, soldered them up and wrapped them around the base, as you would with a bulb. It's the back lights for the buttons I soldered! Hmm OK I've had no issues with the other ones, they went in extremely snug though, no possibility of them coming out without a screwdriver in the base slot.
  23. It's the contact being made on the track at the base, it may look OK, but the modified bulbs if treated to too much heat misalign the base giving intermittent contact. This is why it's good practice to test all bulbs in situ before sending them out, just to check for any invisible defects. The R34 A/C is prone to needing exact contacts with the rail, that's why I soldered directly to them.
  24. I remember years ago a 'reputable' QLD tuner telling me that he'd never heard of such a stupid thing as Nissan packs dying, I argued the point and refused to ever let him near my car again. Wonder if he agrees now?
  25. I'll get hold of a decent camera and get the pics...my old Kodak gives dodge results The LEDs are tri-led angled and give very even coverage. I'll have to take the dash out to fit the whites and get pics also...so give me some time
