  1. While I agree they look cool, they don't relly provide any benefit over the standard one. Nissan didn't develop the R34 plenum willy nilly, they're quite good, plus with the other type you've got to replumb your I/C Spend the money on other mods that gain power
  2. *random nudie run!!!!*
  3. I've got the shroud, but not the I/C
  4. Maybe I was wrong, it didn't go to a better place!
  5. You could go on a tour of the country like old-time grifters! "rub the car for a dollar, cures your ills!"
  6. You're just becoming hard work now Alex, the car's gotta be cheap, not ugly, have a hot model in the passenger seat, boot full of gold, cure cancer....etc etc lol
  7. ahh didn't think of Aaron, thanks
  8. A) I'm a cheap-ass B) I can tune around it easily enough
  9. My ROM has already had the R&R tuned out of it (all cells have reduced fuelling and increased timing with respect to the factory settings) the FCD is purely to stop the ECU shutting down at 5.1v (where the map ends for the AFM) as it currently does. My tune didn't lend itself to the upgraded fuel system and turbo, that's why it's rich, previous was running nice flat 12.5:1 AFR on 12psi with the stock turbo.
  10. As the title says, PM if you're keen Dan
  11. As you can see my car won't be bothered by a bit of leaning I'm actually going to set the voltage clamp at 4.9V so I don't lose too much resolution on the factory map. The car is going in for a full ROM tune anyway, but the turbo maxxes out the AFM at fairly low boost pressures. So with the FCD I'm going to get it tuned for around 16psi and see how it goes.
  12. Yeah you just use one of the 5v sensor power supplies on the ECU as a reference, then run the AFM output through it to get your clamped voltage. I'm making one for my car at the moment.
  13. Found this while looking around on the net, great for those who like to mess around with electronics and cars. http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~v/fcd/
  14. old-school supercharged MR2, get a rebuild if the over 100,000kms bothers you
  15. Take off the AAC valve at the rear of the plenum, clean the piston attached to the stepper motor on the inside. It can clog with carbon and crap which makes it stay open and raise the revs. This would be a good start.
  16. Wow those are wicked large pics Not all the R34's have the factory system, my last one didn't but my silver one did. A bit hit and miss I think, you'd have a sticker on the rear quarter panel if it's got the factory alarm
  17. ooh lets get onto topics involving bullshit statistic that the government puts out.....like in 95% of accidents speed was a factror! Well yes as the car had to be moving to get itself into mischief, exceeding the speed limit though..isn't the true statistic around 3-5% and that doesn't account for if the person was also drunk/drugged/being blown
  18. Update, the new fuel system netted a massive 157rwkw! We lost AFR readings at 5000rpm...they dropped off way past 10:1 The new turbo/bleed valve combo won't hold boost either, this should all be fixed in the next 2 weeks with some nice figures to attach
  19. shameless plug for supercharge batteries, only cause a friends dad supplies them
  20. I wouldn't buy it, I'd expect there to be no rust in that location, unless there has been some stress that has pulled the sealant on the welds. The nut holding the strut brace looks like it's got a bit of salt corrosion as well.
  21. Yeah 2 x 20 over = no licence, which you're right negates the point of having 12 points....sooo stupid!!!!
  22. Cause I'd feel like a complete twat waving accross the carpark, especially when I've been chatting with you all day
  23. you scared em off again!!! Geez
  24. Pop around to Johns place and steal his out of his car while he's not looking, cheapest option yet!!!!
