    Brakepads

I'm getting Hawk HP Plus next, I went in a car with these and it hurt my face everytime the brake pedal was planted
  2. Yeah Paul at Motorman is very helpful
  3. I used a 230 x 550 x 75 cooler on my car, no cutting of any metal, was able to run a 180 degree pipe back to the stock location and cost $450 all up including fitting. It only manages to get 1/8th of it warm under punishment. These are good also: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-Universal-TURBO...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. Ugh I'm sick of your N/A + boost knowledge John, it's so common sense and practically based Come on people if you need to know anything about boosting N/A's ask John or myself, we're there to help in such a taboo subject.
  5. sounds like snow tyres, they don't last long at all. Got any pics to show tyres and any scratches?
  6. I've got a front mount with 180 degree pipe, similar setup to what you've mentioned. I didn't notice too much of a change, the bennefit to you will be the complete lack of heat-soak with the bigger I/C. In summer I could heat my sidemount one up quickly, if you've got a borderline tune it'll start to ping, the FMIC is like a bit of an insurance policy, get it
  7. Hey, this was my old R34 25GT, first pic is a couple of days after I bought it, the second is after it had the bolt-on turbo fitted, third picture speaks for itself I unfortunately don't have too many pictures left of it as they were lost on my old HDD. It was a great car, would probably still have it today if it hadn't had been stolen and written off. The only thing I found wrong was I got bored with the performance after a bit, that's what made me do the turbo upgrade. Happens with all cars though, my GTT has had a fair few mods since getting it as well. I liked the fact the 25GT didn't have HICAS!!!
  8. I've got a full CES custom job, looks as stock as a rock with twin tips and is good for 250rwkw....you've got to bend right up under the car to see it's a full 3" and well pushed up into every crevice to keep it out of sight. You get what you pay for with an exhaust, I'd definately go custom in the future as you just don't get the unwanted attention.
  9. Dunno, sticker on the back says "Jodies Ride" in pink.
  10. He broke it, he can fix it
  11. As Adam said! I noticed with my split dump-pipe boost only crept up 1-2psi max.
  12. Notice the stock map drastically pulls timing under load, I've had a play with it and now the car pulls to the redline instead of bogging down.
  13. I work on Hyde road and never see either of you????
  14. Cool, hopefully see you at some of the R34 meets which I really should go to and not be so slack :S
  15. Haha favourite memory from living out there is being told I drive "one of those new fangled cars" by the woman in the post office.
  16. found these loitering in my tool box still
  17. knobsorban!
  18. That was me, I've got an exhaust? It looks like a stock twin-tip one...but $2K out of pocket says otherwise Nice choice of car, I did a double take as I was merging on looked sideways and saw another R34..doesn't happen that much. Was pretty random that I was heading that way, I had to go to the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services acadamy for petrochem fire-fighting on that day.
  19. Just turning the car over will be fine, if it fires up and idles OK, all good. You can't go too wrong with putting a resistor in. If you're really worried, get a CRO and check the outputs
  20. The R33 dump will most likely foul the firewall on the R34, the R34 ones have a steeper decline. if it doesn't foul then you'll most likely need an extension with a slight hump in it to line up with everything.
  21. The shift kit would definately help, used to have a 25GT and would have liked crisper shifts in it. I'd say for cams, porting, e-manage + tune you'd be looking at $3500 at the very most, some good shopping around will drop that price for sure. While you've got the head off the car, would maybe be worth having it decked and put the compression up a notch. You'll only be able to use 98+ octane though. An exhaust can vary greatly, my CES exhaust was $2K, but it is awesome I think you may be competative with stock GTts for sure, you've got about 100kg weight advantage over them.
  22. Get an old e-manage blue, you'll see more power from playing with the timing as well as the fuel
  23. You can get a shift kit to make it a bit less sloppy on gear-change. Decent exhaust, porting and cams...maybe something like the new e-manage ultimate to trim the fuel and increase timing and raise the rev limit.
  24. I'd personally suggest one of the highflows from Sliding performance, it'd be awesome on a high-comp At around $900 they're a brilliant turbo (currently got one on my R34)
  25. A bigger turbo spools at more user-friendly revs, a guy I knew had a TO4E on his high-comp R34 and it spooled like the stock turbo. Stock turbo's on high-comp engines tend to be pushing 7psi at 1800rpm, it's awesome around town though, tons of torque low-down.
