  1. Stan it doesn't have the little tray that sits under the rear ashtray does it..some cars have these others get the shite blank-plate! While I'm at it, do you have a spare blank-plate next to the headlight height adjuster????? Thanks
  2. RB20 doesn't work the three bolt holes are about 1mm offset inwards, they don't line up at all. Contact Slide, he has eleventybillion of them for around $25 delivered
  3. No sounds normal for the GTT box, shift kit will sort this out. MV atuomatics in Adelaide are the people to contact
  4. "The e-manage does though as a optional ignition harness.and from the sounds of it not very well. " It bloody does!!!!! You just need to modify it, my car worked flawlessly with it...they just realeased it with too many bugs in standard form *shakes fist at Trust*
  5. Bending the signal places the fuel map at a lower load point, generally at a lower load point the timing is more advanced. A good example is when you adjust injector size with the e-manage. If you change 370cc injectors to 440cc the e-manage multiplies the AFM voltage by 370/440 which gives a load point a lot further down than it really is to match the correct injector firing duration....this is why they don't recommend going more than 150% greater in injector size as it pushes the timing way too advanced.
  6. "Cant wait to see how you do the timing control. Do you move the 6-5-4-3-2-1 crank signal reference point or do you attempt to drive the coils like greedy and fail miserably - 8ms of dwell is tooo much aparently, did they not know this???" Please refer to my eleventybillion posts regarding the fix for this issue Zener diodes are your friend! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=120&p=972512
  7. "Hell, another example, if you have a crash youd most likely need to turn the engine off pretty quickly too!!!" While we're at it why don't we all paint our cars white so the repair bill isn't as much if we possibly one day have an accident, maybe, never!!!! lol
  8. Dammit, I'm going to be very broken on Sunday...alcohol will win out on Saturday. I can recommend the feast, it's awesome and no-one will go home hungry or dissapointed!!!
  9. Done and done! My car isn't a track car, my car is automatic...I'm at the low-risk end of the scale with the plain bearing...plain bearings can also be reincarnated after oil-baking even without removing them from the vehicle....dichloromethane is your friend!
  10. My ones on my previous R34 went at almost dead on 100,000kms (in-built timers? lol) My current car I just replaced them with splitfires before I wound the boost up so I just would never get the same problem again.
  11. Yeah you can fit 32/33 ones under, they were designed for 16" or smaller wheels. They don't have the same brakes, they use strange pads....34N/A has 300C rears and Maxima fronts
  12. Yeah my O2 sensor doesn't affect my economy as I'm mainly doing more than 2500rpm...so the ECU is controlling fuel delivery. My O2 sensor is also a bit screwed with the ceramic/platinum tip snapped and rolling around in the end of the sensor (gives it really slow response)
  13. The point that a lot of people miss when discussing the bigger turbos is the fact the exhaust side is also bigger, this is what allows the flow to be greater, not the fact it's just got a bigger compressor....that alone wouldn't account for much. Restriction in the system is what gives you your boost pressure, less restriction on the exhaust side gives greater flow through the system...this is why you get equivalent power at lower overall psi
  14. Personally I'm not even phased in the slightest about using the plain bearing, the use of quality parts (garrett core) and the fact it appears to be a well built unit is more than enough peace of mind, also you get a 1 year back to base warrenty. The real test of how it performs on the car is proven to me day in day out, and I'm extremely happy with it (even though the gf isn't happy with the rapid acceleration) There has been lots of mention about the bearing not tolerating times of no oil pressure etc etc, but I think even in the example SK gave of the car that stalled and baked the bearing this would have happened with a BB turbo as well, the car wasn't restarted for quite some time and would most probably have damaged a BB core equally. The cost of sorting a plain bearing out though is a lot less though. If you look after the supporting systems and in this case make sure the oil flow is increased, I can't forsee too many issues with it, unless you thrash the car too hard and stall it lots. With 7000kms a year I'd say you'll be more than happy as the turbo would remain in as-new condition. I've racked up about 2500kms on it now, runs as good as gold....as expected.
  15. A nice shiny braided oil feed from Pirtek was $65, flows as much/more as the modded stock one without the hassle of drilling and it looks good as well
  16. Give the AAC valve a clean, the R34 type uses a vibrating stepper motor to adjust the airflow, my one seized shut with dirt and bollocks a while back, that led to a constant high idle. Also having the A/C on for a cold start gives me a feeling similar to a dodge coil-pack when it first runs in the morning, once all warmed up it stops...try running with climate control off and see if it's fixed.
  17. Fuel consumption that severe could be the O2 sensor if you're doing lots of city driving, if you're not it may be pointing at something a bit more drastic. I'm getting ~330kms from full to empty light first coming on and I've got ~180rwkw and drive it quite spirited most of the time. If your car is stock standard I'd expect to see at least 450km or more when the empty light first comes on. Sorry don't personally know of anyone I can recommend down there
  18. Will sell seperately at $55 each!!!!
  19. If you have stock wheels they won't fit under them
  20. Congratulations, I'm glad Han finally gave him back to you guys before we left, she was looking a tad too attached
  21. Cool, done and done....thanks to Adam!!!
  22. Yeah 350Z and R34 use the same injector size, thinking of maybe contacting APS as they have 500cc jobbies for the 350Z, but I'd be happy with anything ~440cc at the moment. The R34 is almost finished as far asI'm going with it, the 350Z/V35 TT is on the cards for next year.
  23. What injectors did you end up getting Stan? That's my weakest link in all this, the bloody stock injectors
  24. Shame he's not in QLD I'd have done the install for a lot less than $1400!!!
