  1. Best thing is not to bother with the 4WD unless you do actually buy the R34 25GT-Four otherwise there is a lot of fabrication around the front driveshafts and chassis to be done on the regular GT-T...ideally to cut cost you should start with a 25GT instead of the GT-T only major difference being smaller brakes (you should upgrade to the GTR calipers and discs anyway) no HICAS (no big loss)
  2. OK from what I've found, unplugging the MAP sensor on a GT-T will result in poor acceleration under boost. The e-manage was indicating a pull in timing and increase in injector duty when revs are over ~3000rpm. Replacing the sensor with a variable voltage supply I found that by mimicking boost (raising the voltage) the ECU appears to change the maps based on load, basically the car ran better by supplying an equivalent voltage to what would be produced by the boost sensor at say 7psi. The other thing I have noticed is that with the e-manage intercepting the AFM voltage, you don't see the expected change in duty cycle you would expect when changing fuelling over 3000rpm. So it appears the ECU relies on 2 sets of inputs to deliver fuel at 2 areas of the rev range. Just a theory
  3. It does qualify, just very limited plates available for it in Aus...www.imports101.com.au would be able to find one for you...indicated price was round $19-22K
  4. very bullshit, my one had a sunroof...and it's fully detailed in my workshop manual Don't know if you can just make it out in this picture...back when the car was N/A The other pic is before and after bolt-on turbo (note intercooler)
  5. Only problems in 3 years were the shift solenoids dying and the coil packs giving up too....oh and it got stolen!
  6. What kind of tint is that, may be better to indicate to everyone in the thread instead? I had 3M Silohette metallic put on my fronts for $175
  7. Prices are here http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/ Would be $900 delivered to Aus for the e-manage plus the harness kit + software...also this guy is one of the best suppliers around, efficient and reliable and sends everything via UPS tracked.
  8. Check this out!!!!!! http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/tmp/ultim...spec/index.html Looks like a lot of effort went into this!
  9. Yeah very ture hungry...don't worry I just received the 3rd insinuating phonecall about the bloody windows...the ombudsman has been contacted this time! I can't see why they can't just accept the police report and the full confession of the guy that stole the car??? Is it really that hard to just give me the money for my car, even when they have a responsible party???
  10. Haha no chance in hell, wait for the bit where they ask you to supply the receipt for the cost of your car, receipt for you immobiliser, receipt and contact of who services your car, current photograph of your car etc etc it goes on! Then they ask if your car *really* had windows, and why were your personalised plates removed (it was a stolen car duh!) am I sure it didn't have 4 space savers on it the night before it was taken!!!
  11. The funny thing is claiming when your car has been stolen, they've caught the guy and have a confession...you still get grilled like a criminal even after handing over many thousands over the past few years. My car has been at the assessors for 8 working days, still no answer on if it's repairable or not...and I know for a fact that it's been quoted by about 5 parties so far!
  12. The guy said to try these people, they should be able to help with exotic metal pipe. http://www.atlas-steels.com.au I found these guys http://www.cem-int.com.au/titanium_int.htm
  13. I'm pretty sure that's the option that turns the lights on when required...you may have seen it on cars when they drive through tunnels etc etc
  14. Yeah I'm going to amke my point with them next week...as A) why does it take over a week to assess a car? B) They've had over $4K out of me over the past couple of years, so they better start earning their money C)Someone has been caught and they will recover cost from him, so I better start seeing some action!!! Yeah you can unstick this Adrian, thanks
  15. No doesn't monitor knock or change speed/rev limits
  16. I've got loads of CAT-5e data cable, available at the following prices...buyer pays postage if required, can do local pickup in the Brisbane area. $95.00 per 300 meter box or short lengths @ 33c per meter
  17. No amazing news, except I'm being treated like the criminal by the assessor! Word of advice, take pictures of every inch of your car as who knows if you too will be asked if windows actually were fitted to your car!!! Also check to make sure that when you tell them what accessories are on your car when you itemise the stereo system and then give them the total dollar amount, they don't try to get out of it by saying "oh we thought it was the price of just the CD player, not the other parts too, so we changed sound system to just read CD player on accessories" Also remember to ring them when you make an addition and they don't send you an update policy!!! Keep an eye on the dodgy bastards, they're happy to take thousands of you each year, they just don't like working for it!
  18. I'll ask the engineer at work, we get that sort of stuff used a lot!
  19. QLD specific in my case, but it still pays to be aware who could possibly have a copy of your keys and intimate details of your car, remember in everyones case, someone has had your car before you get hold of it.
  20. Something that has come to light during the recent week, R34's are currently being targeted by thieves. I'd urge everyone to re-evaluate any alarm system their cars have and put in place any effective means of keeping the car secure. You should all assume that your keys are available and have been copied, this is the general idea of what security measures are required in the future. Good luck!!!
  21. If I were you I'd hold off until you do have the money for a GTS-t if you can't afford to look after the car, then you can't afford the car...it's the sad truth.
  22. You would be able to do it, but would have to make some sort of mount that would screw into the same position. The factory gauges are just one single block behind the shroud. You may have trouble with lining 3 seperate gauges so close to each other as the may foul on the outerpart...it could be done with some modding for sure.
  23. Probably me at Hannahs friends place, she lives on Pembroke Rd...I'm now a sad loser with no car
  24. 797.8989kw... quite impressive! (this is Fro-Daddy, i couldnt be bothered signing dan out)
