  1. Yeah, they had to get tapped
  2. Yeah that's fraud basically!
  3. Did they measure your tint or just say it looks too dark? Most of the R34's have the UV-cut glass...which looks dark, but the actual transmittance is extremely good...it's like one-way ambulance glass. The key word in the legislation is transmission It's all on the legal basis that the driver doesn't have his vision diminished, that all goes out of the window if you drive with sunglasses on though...*sigh*
  4. I'll have a link for the user manual running by the end of the week...so hold onto your dollars guys
  5. Cy, you're now a statistic
  6. Just Cars were fine with me during a claim...someone reversed into my front bar and damaged it, they tried to drive off but I got their drivers licence number (through force) The guy supplied a dodgey phone number etc etc, but the claim went fine because I had his correct licence details The car was fixed all within 2 weeks. I'm 25, rating 1, agreed value of $29,000, a few mods, paying $1100...the next bill should be under $1000 though

    what the???

OK while we're on the subject about the skyline ute...I was thinking of going down this path with a series II stagea, with R34 front....4WD Turbo ute!!! Good idea or not?
  10. No recall? I heard that it was a faulty batch of solenoids...also extended to the maxima and a few other models??? Basically the coil internally broke and goes open-circuit when it gets to operating temp...they eventually die when the coils misalign permanently. I know my solenoids operated perfectly when taken out of the car...until they heated them up to operating temp in an oven then they were dead untilthey cooled back down. R34GTX I didn't realise you're in Brisbane too, I've got a lead that plugs into the consult interface and reads the ECU/resets codes etc. If you don't get anything from linking-out the wires, I'll meet you up and plug it in to your car if you like? Not going on Saturday unfortunately
  11. I haven't got it yet, but am keen as my gearbox slips from the extra load the turbo has put on it at high rpm. I want 3rd gear chirps!!! I can live with noisy and clunky if the performance is there...I've heard actually nothing but good things about the kit.
  12. Nissan will be able to get them for you, I’m even sure that nowdays a few of the local models share the same part number for it. My one was done under warranty, the car died after 2000ks!!! This is about the only fault I know of with R34s, seems to happen a fair bit, and I heard there was a recall in Japan. At the beginning it always fixed itself by turning the car on and off, but once they go…*sigh* If it does turn out to be them, I recommend getting a shift kit fitted at the same time, just to make the labour bill a bit more economical

    what the???

I'm not going anywhere just yet...a house loan will see my dreams of a 350Z killed!!! But I will mod the crap out of the 34, just cause I can...and if I get some cash...maybe a V35TT
  14. The only time I've seen the A/T light is when my shift solenoids started to go...it was intermittent to begin with, then when it permenently died the light stayed on and I was stuck in 3rd gear grrrr. If your diagnostic shows it to be these, get some ordered ASAP as they take a while to get here from Japan...and it's a pain pottering around in 3rd!!!
  15. Thanks champ...I'll now return to my useless posts
  16. yeah me too...the guy is just spamming at random! Tosser
  17. I found it to be 100% heat related, after I managed to get a few coil packs together I found when I placed a cold pack on the already hot running engine it would be fine, until the pack got up to engine temp, then it would stop working. I think it's actually internal breaks in the coil, the wire seperates and fails to conduct when heated. Funnily enough that was the reason for my gearbox solenoids too, they couldn't pick the fault when cold as the coils worked fine. I ended up replacing all but 1 with series II R33 coil packs...not ideal as they don't bolt in, but hey it fixed the problem.
  18. Check PM....same thing happened to me!
  19. QuickFit Motorsport can splice the looms for you, and that's the only hard bit of work apart from putting the engine in place. And it should all be very legal, just get it engineered
  20. http://www.2and2.net/Uploads/Images/headers1.JPG http://www.2and2.net/Uploads/Images/headers2.JPG I've got these if anyone is intersted, they inlcude the front pipe too...off an R34 N/A apparently flow a bit better that the stock R33 ones....but I haven't seen a set to compare too??? $75 if anyone wants them...and I'll even blast them back to shiny steel
  21. Nah, I was going to say Zoom actually, they were quite helpful looking for my pressure sensor...even though they never found it, they put in the hard yards scrounging through all the boxes
  22. What choice of yards do you have?
  23. Your omnipotence broke the box! Hail son of rajab Squizz!!!

    34 Daughterboards
