  1. If the compressor is kicking in then the gas pressure should be there as when the system is empty the pressure switch will stop the electric clutch from operating. Does the low pressure (large tube) side of the A/C feel cold to touch. If so I'd be looking for a problem on the linkage that controls the air flow in the back of the unit inside the car. The one on my R32 broke so wasn't redirecting the fan flow through the A/C core.
  2. They have cool sounding technology fitted....like a' lean burn head' with plasma swirl jets! This all translates into ULEV and that's about it really
  3. Go the next skyline meet in your area, cause a distraction.......they're only held on with double sided tape *jOkEs*
  4. $30 Delivered, send me a PM
  5. The turbo is on the most difficult side, would need a little bit of work around the steering. The engine would definitely be a good dropin for a supra.
  6. The N/A ones seem fairly flarey for no reason, my one was like that and the box was only 3 years old. The trans oil they put in it during a solenoid change turned out to be pretty average, I changed it and had an instant improvement. It was fine with the turbo bolted on down the track.
  7. The factory R34 HID's have a nice clean light cut-off, they don't dazzle at all. If you stick to 4300K bulbs and leave the level adjustment to the lowest setting you're not likely to ever get any unwanted attention.
  8. Tell me about it, took ages to get the mazda matched. I repaired the guard, got it looking brand-spanking new. The very next day after the final polish it copped a hit to the same panel, this time rippled the crap out of it. Not happy!
  9. Sight unseen...maybe an oil temp sensor?
  10. I've seen plenty of them vibrate after time due to bad installation, the main reason the GTR pumps have that nice rubber cusion to attach it to the cradel, could just be loosey-goosey.
  11. You mean the one on the firewall in the centre? That prevents the car from overboosting...so basically your boost was peaking higher than the factoey cut-off point (safety feature) When it's operating properly, it cuts fuel at 4.7v reading If the car has been checked on a dyno to check the fuel ratios at the increased boost, then it's fine....if you've never checked it, get it checked ASAP The reason the engine light comes on is the fact this is a critical sensor, it regulates the idle and off-boost fuelling. With it disconnected the car defaults back to a guestimate map to allow you to drive, economy will not be as good. A quick cheat is to run a small signal diode in line with the green signal wire on the sensor (make sure the diode is the correct way to allow current to flow) this will chop between 0.3 and 0.7 volts of the signal and allow you go slightly past the factory boost cut. Yet keep the engine safe if something went wrong and the car free-boosted. You may need just a 1 diode possibly 2 in an extreme case.
  12. The general rule is, unless it contirbuted 100% to a claim, then they normally don't mind. Saying that, the cost of the replacement of an unlisted modification isn't covered either, in the event of it being damaged in an accident.
  13. I've got a pair of these, from the factory R34 coupe brake lights $25 + $ for your preferred method of delivery thanks, Dan
  14. Prices like that willl see a spike in people reclaiming Freon from cheap chinese airhorns from the dollar shops

  17. Not very often a Bundaberg Rum collection like this becomes available, definitely for the Bundy connoisseur. 23 unique bottles and limited editions, including a nice big optic bottle, 2 complementing bottles with matching serial numbers, Darren Lockyer limited edition and the ever elusive Bundaberg Black Vat 65 1994 Edition with that suspicious bear looking over his shoulder. This will not be split as people will just try and knock off the top end bottles that make it such a well represented and rounded collection. Every bottle is unmolested, unopened and in original condition, stored away from light and heat (as you can tell from the nice patina of 'ye olde duste' $4000 or best offer, can be shipped nationwide, so don't be shy, tell your friends!

  19. For anyone who prefers soldering to DIY'ing with tools http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=KC5435
  20. That was going to be my first response...but I held back on the Simpsons reference
  21. I've got Kumhos on the CX-7 after replacing the Yokohamas, this was a big move considering I've always been a Yoko fanboi. To be honest, they're quieter, grippier and wearing better than the Yokohamas and weren't as obscenely priced. Definately changed my perception of the brand.
  22. Absolutely no help at all, but my wifes old car used to do this literally from brand new....in the end it got to the point where you'd factor in the time you'd waste at the servo waiting for the car to get it's shit together and get ignition back. The dealer couldn't even figure it out.
  23. My first R34 came with brand new Ziex, they were potentialy the scariest rubber I've ever driven on. Even on a bone dry road I'd have to be careful taking tight turns as the car would 4 wheel slide. And yes, a complete 'surprise' 360 was easily achieved in the wet.....from an unmodified n/a that's not good.
  24. 'Limp mode' locks you in 3rd gear, doesn't limit rpm at all....so it must be something non-electrical related if the ECU isn't seeing an error, cause that thing loves to find errors. Take the bumper off to get to the side mount, pretty quick to pop it off.
  25. 4500 rpm is when the solenoid for the actuator on the turbo goes from low to high boost.....if there is a bleed valve or dodgy actuator line it could be boosting too high.
