  1. That's why you do the diagnostic, takes literally 30 seconds and you know EXACTLY what has gone wrong, instead of all this guessing bullshit. Every single computer in the R34's has a diagnostic function, all will give you the answer depending on what sub-system or sensor/actuator has failed. I had the TCS stepper motor fail also, never limited the car in any way though.....maybe your butterfly was stuck down, making the car feel gutless?
  2. Yeah they're setting the bar really high
  3. How's this for good form, the interview is delayed as 2 people out of a 3 person panel pulled a Monday sickie!!!
  4. Yeah we're all here, we lurk, we love it! An Interview today will seal the fate on my new vehicle, hopefully all goes well.....
  5. You need an angle grinder a diamond blade and some skill to put it in....if you don't measure a million times and have a steady hand....don't do it.
  6. 10 years of SAU whoring today! Sad, I'm still here and have no Skyline.
  7. Don't want to sound like a broken record, but check this highlighted item 10000% it will give the symptoms you're experiencing and won't throw a code up if there is a problem, it normally opens up at about 4200rpm, if it doesn't the car will feel like it has no VCT, it will also run like a pig if it's drawing air after the AFM, which would happen if the line had come off/cracked etc etc so check the full length visually and feel for damage from actuator to intake.
  8. Oh yeah, someone didn't plug the vacuum line that runs to the butterfly valve between the dual intake by any chance? No recent pod filter shenanigans resulting in a random line being blocked off (that shouldn't be)
  9. click the link in my last post
  10. No chance unless they're pre Dec 2012 models.....even then Nissan may have stitched up that loophole already by having them on Aussie soil already to go in warehouses. Cheffy would know the exact details.
  11. To be competitive they need to be sub $90k as there are plenty of Euro cars that would demolish them in the market. The performance will keep its price in check Price should be announced at the motor show..as they have various spec levels.
  12. Still got trouble? I Can sort it most weekdays....in Calamvale
  13. Do the paperclip diagnostic and you'll have an answer. Reset the ECU for a drive just to rule out any errors from disconnecting stuff. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=348444
  14. I've always used eBay Ford ones from a place down south. They were good. I just replaced the Nissan plug with a falcon one.
  15. It's not a good market to sell anything unless your willing to so to do your arse on the price. People are being very tight atm.
  16. That's right I used a GTt sensor mounted on the filter housing....a GTR one will fit.from memory......any of the models.
  17. Yeah been a while. No kids on the horizon just yet. I'm trying to sort my life out with a few ideas and concepts for a business. One revolves around pharmacy now I'm registered, the other is tip rope secret until I get the patent lodged. Needless to say it's electronics based...which is what I spend my spare time doing. So much for the pharmacy degree haha. At least I can write medical certs though, and will have limited prescribing rights coming.
  18. Haha that's off the Infiniti Australia website. They are going to have the coupes at the Sydney motor show. They're definitely out there, they started with the 4WDs late August. I saw two of the 5 litre V8's at Brisbane airport today in the carpark..
  19. Maybe the reason I'm excited has something to do with 2 years of Skyline withdrawal......nuff said
  20. As the guys have said it all depends on what sort of profile you need, Hare and Forbes are awesome BTW Garnet will give a very good profile for painting provided the air-pressure is up to scratch, our old blaster was getting 10 micron profile, then we boosted it and could get a deadly 75 micron....beautiful for long term coating adhesion and letting etch primers get right into the metal. Glass beads are good, but more suited for taking coatings off, and not for hard-core surface prepping, same for bicarb...which is nice and gentle and works on delicate substrates even plastics. The king-kong of media is silicon carbide, it can be overkill on anything but the most hardened alloys or things that need some serious stripping. Silicon Carbide DES46 from A E Baker & Co The thing to remember is never trust the sealing of the unit and always wear a proper dust mask/filter, I use a full-face Sundstrom SR 200 Secondly, always cover the glass observation panel with plastic laminate pouches of similar; something that can be replaced after the blast media has scored it, you just simply tape on a new bit of plastic instead of destroying your nice glass panel. The harder the media = the quicker the nozel will need replacing. And a decent compressor with an awesome capacity will save time and headache. The guys here will give you good advice based on your requirements - www.blastech.com.au
  21. The back of my old R34 looked sweet with the custom brake lights, now and again I see it in Logan and nearly snap my neck to look, then realise it's my old car that I'm admiring haha
  22. The halos look too small compared to the light dimensions unfortunately, a little bit of fabrication and that could be done to a high standard
  23. Just out of interest, what colour is the car, any pics?......secondly if it comes down to it, it's really easy to DIY the harness as you just take the switching illumination and power from the stereo harness just below and then it's a single wire to the ECU for the oil temp output. The problem is the 25GT doesn't have the harness links that the loom would plug into, whereas the GT-t does....so it ends up being a DIY anyway.
  24. Only bought last week to help finish off a difficult roofing job; where we only had two people and needed to hold long sheets of Gyprock; that without another two extra people would have resulted in definite sagging and breakage of the sheets not to mention the nightmare of lifting that weight into the exact position on a slanted roof! Even then it wouldn't have been done in just a day! This was the best purchase I've ever made and made the job so easy, it literally pins the board in place while you screw it to the battens at your leisure, no rushing or punching screw holes through while managing a large flexible heavy board. The lifter is basically brand new and has lifted a total of 9 boards ONLY!!! The job is done, so it's ready to move on to a new home. Perfect for someone starting out their own business where the need a reliable tool. It can be used by a single person if managing sheets under 2400 x 1200 Details of the lifter are below. Specifications: Colour: Red and Black The board lifter is very easy to assemble and disassemble without using tools - Comes with user manual Foldable and space-saving - Will fit into most cars when broken down - Takes a few minutes to do Two legs are collapsible, so it can fit through doors Simple and fast operation with 1-speed-winch and brake Weight of board lifter: 44kg Material of board lifter: Steel Height of board lifter: 86cm Maximum lift capacity: 68kg Extra wide tripod base with 3 large castors Ø 10cm including the parking brakes (maximum width 140cm) Adjustable working height: up to 350cm Expandable arms allow maximum load dimensions of: 480 x 122cm The panel lifter fits roof inclinations of up to 60 degrees thanks to a spring suspension head Pickup From Calamvale 4116, Any questions feel free to ask!
