Help Needed With Reaching My GOAL!

It's a confusing situation with the auto ECU myth....I too used to be a strong believer you couldn't replace the auto ECU while having good driveability, but.... I've got a manual GT-t ECU in the car now, and if anything shifting is smoother, the only thing that can be classed as 'anti-social' is flat to the floor it whill chirp/kick sideways on 1st to 2nd...but you can do that shifting hard in manual. For the e-manage to be fully effective it's wise to get the full kit, by that I mean timing, injector and pressure sensor harness. If I'd know better I would have got a wolf or PFC and just got a shift kit for the g'box. -
Can you give me a part number on those...still can't see them on the Nismo site?
-
Funny you should say that, I'm pretty sure you're right, as I remember a guy being interviewed about the effect it would have on his business as he imported intercooler cores for fabrication over here. I'm 99% sure we get things cheaper now
-
Hmm intersting option for us R34 guys with top-feed injectors already. The Nismo ones only go up to 480cc

Haha actually I'm yet to mess that up...it's when I get into my car after I do the reverse LOL

As long as they have catered for the SII ignition coils then I don't think these would be a bad idea...even if they haven't it would only take a few minutes to fit the 6 diodes. doridori32 - Great to see you're the first person to post a completey irrelevant comment in a technical thread!

Jump into your car when it's cold and nail it....from 1st to 2nd you'll feel the gearbox slipping...not grabbing between gears..that's flaring. With the turbo you don't really have to try to *make* it flare when cold, the extra torque makes it's slip easily...until it's warmed up, then it's fine. As for rwKw....during early dyno tuning it did make 147+ but the ECU was far from ideal and meant the car ran a little rough. A sequence of events after meant everytime it was due for the dyno something would go wrong with coils etc etc. So still a mystery

Eight Mile Plains....maybe that's the problem..they can check imports but not locally sold cars I'm talking about a Nabira wagon, the reason it was taken to a 3rd party was to confirm that after 2 months with the dealer...the car was still f#$ked. Because after 'repairing' it the dealer is trying to get their money, but it's not happening as the it's still screwed! A certain 3rd party was asked to inspect said gearbox, confirm that it had a stall speed of about 100rpm!!! And give us a report to hand back to the dealer.....but the went on their merry way did something completely different, then offered to fabricate some details on the full mechanical. The problem with this was the dealer will argue that the fee for the check will not be covered as they did other things to the car as well, they'll just pay a percentage. But it's not too much of a drama cause the 3rd party didn't get paid either As for saying the windscreen wipers don't work WTF? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to operate that little lever!!!

AFOAF just got back from having a check done on a company car. Performed by a well known place with an R,Q and a couple of other letters in the title What I heard is just comical! They decided to give it a full mechanical, after being told just to check the g'box (g'box check was due to the manufacturer having the car 2 months and still not being able to fix it!!!) After not even identifying what was the problem with the g'box, offered to add some extra guff to the report, to make it sound as if it was stuffed, even though they weren't sure!!! (blatant fraud and lies) Of the things they did check, said the wipers and squirting mechanism were all broken....just that they didn't realise the controls are in reverse and they all function perfectly well!!! So what really does your money buy you when you get a check? Anything you want them to put down basically....and more. Where is Today Tonight when you need them?

Anyone here fit the target market?? LOL

It's like they took my life and put it in Japanese form! I must say that cap is rather fetching -
For those intersted, just rang Repco...and RB30E Gem reconditioned engine is $2200 exchange.
-
That was gold! Sad thing is that's a way better effort than I'd put in...I'm so a drift virgin LOL
-
Yes it is...I'd go as far as to get the power FC for the N/A actually, unless the GT-t version comes with a MAP sensor...as chasing up the MAP sensor from a GT-t is getting to be a headache! But apart from that it just plugs straight in!
-
It can take it Judging from your other posts, you've got an N/A tiptronic R34....if you want to talk about it sometime, give me a PM and I can show you what's involved 1st hand. Dan

They're basically the same unit...just got 1 clutch plate less...think it's 6 as opposed to 7. Everything else is just as strong. I reckon the GT-t one could be pushed to at least 250rwKw. If you're really worried get a shift kit installed. My one flares a bit more than it did pre-turbo...but that's only when it's cold..no problems with it at 145,000kms of less than good treatment

put a * next to it....acts as a wildcard -
I've seen good results from ECU's on the RX8's from leaning fuel and advancing timing, this was in the US on some low-octane fuel too. I can't see why an improvement couldn't be had on the RB25DE as well.

This 'falcon' of which you speak, tell me more.

Erin, they can do the 3 x 3 they just drop the 'logo' off the plate and replace with a diamond....in the one I drew I didn't include a logo...but you could have say 'SAU' seperating the 2 number and 3 letters etc? So if the website banner was to be remade with brisbane instead of Sydney..how does that sound? I think the blue/sunset tone of the web banner is a lot better than the crappy PPQ brisbane plate...ugh!

Darrin, sending me to the valley on a saturday night would cost SAU $300 Probably in fines and alcohol! OK with the limited *power* of MS paint, I just knocked this up at work
