  1. Well we could arrange a fundraiser to cover the intitial $300 for the artwork, then after that it's up to the individual to arrange their own purchase...let's face it at $30 dearer than standard personalised plates it's not too far-fetched.
  2. Don't know if anyone is interested or not...just an idea. PPQ offer custom business or club number plates...they're is an initial $300 artwork fee...then the standard set cost of $425 for all plates after that People with existing personalised plates can have them remade with the club design for a lesser fee...around $135 at last check. If you've got a 3 letter 2 digit plate...then the plates have both a logo and blurb at the base, 3 and 3 combination plates can only fit the blurb apparently. For example you could have the plate designed to look like the website banner, with skylinesaustralia at the base..and the rego sitting above it????? Anyway just getting the idea out there...any comments? Dan
  3. I think police have been involved in more that 5 fatal car chases in the past 5 weeks too...hmmmm
  4. Power poles have been involved in the deaths too...lets ban them!
  5. Great to see SK, I'm a Silicon Chip/Electronics Australia nerd from way back (well as far as a 25 year old can be) and have found the kits to be excellent! Can't wait to see the results!
  6. Some people would probably get a lot more satisfaction from DIY...lets face it not everyone is a soldering iron champ....but those that are capable may well find this suits them. I may take you up on that offer Shan, I'm interested in the turbo timer and boost controller
  7. haha I was going to say that when I posted it...but I knew you'd pick it up sooner or later Should have put they were brand *spanking* new kits!
  8. I got pulled over by a speed camera operator before...and lectured about my speed, but he said he couldn't prove anything cause he was on his own? Good admission! But I did point out the fact; the reason I overtook him, at what appeared to be a great speed, was because he swung out of a side street and cut me off on the main road and I didn't feel like plowing into him.
  9. In QLD they're legal as long as they don't make the emissions worse than factory settings, as for insurance, Justcars will insure you with an aftermarket computer.
  10. Was just flicking through the new Jaycar Electronics mag and saw that they've knocked up a sort of PFC hand controller thingo for some new kits they've released!!! Kits include: Hand controller kit for digital adjusters (PFC hand controller-esque thingo) Boost Controller Kit (Uses factory solenoid)* Digital Speedo Correction Kit (for changes of diff/gear ratios) Automatic turbo timer Fuel Adjuster Kit (uses the AFM signal to do this)* Digital Pulse Adjuster Kit (For adding injectors)* Nitrous Fuel Mixture Kit (Controls nitrous injection, based on engine speed) The ones marked with the * require the controller to program them...but for a DIY kit it's got quite good resolution...brilliant for those that are more interested in a product that works instead of visible rice appeal. Go to www.jaycar.com.au for a squizz

    R32 4 Doors

    Get a 34 sedan....now we're talking! Imports101 have one for about $20K landed
  19. Hmm I don’t doubt the corolla would have put in a good effort…my old 4AGE could be quite surprising when you sat on the revs just before the cams kicked in. The only thing I’ve found with the corollas is the torque just doesn’t feel like it’s there…don’t get me wrong they rev like hell, have some reasonable power…they just can’t get the thing moving, from 0-4000rpm they’re quite unremarkable. With a pod and an exhaust my car when it was N/A could take them, so this 32 owner can’t drive Saying that though….on some ‘magna forum’ some guy is probably gloating about the R34 he kept up with last night. I took off in 2nd, didn’t go past 4000rpm and he was revving the balls of this thing trying to get past me.
  20. Yeah those figures are shocking...I used to get average 9.1L/100k's in the 34..that was an auto too. The O2 sensor is on the downpipe from the manifold...similar in location to where it is on a turbo...just a little bit further on.

    Rant!

I bet it was Adrian, sleep walking/driving....now he's trying to cover it up with this 'mystery skyline' story...."It was the one armed man"....pfffft good try *Dr Kimble*!
  22. haha the magic question Yeah I stuck an R33 manifold and turbo on my one....but for the love of god get a MOTEC or Power FC or some sort of computer that is fully programmable...the 25GT ECU is a complete bastard with piggyback systems.
  23. Hahaha no didn't make the purchase yet...but it's quite high on the list at the moment
