So the base timing was too retarded?

Found that my mongoose one used to be TOO protective...had a few instances where it totally immobilised!!! Also found that it started to ignore one of the sets of buttons....was OK for the first year...then would only disarm with the key that armed it??? Got fairly annoying.

Fuel pump will need to be upgraded for sure...you can replace driveline parts as they snap...your clutch will die also.

Try Zoom 3348 6939...they've got a harness for sure, saw it on Friday...as for the ECU I think it's an Auto one. Check the classifieds, there is a GT-t ECU for sale there.

Yeah I've got the equivalent to a bolt-on turbo kit, developed through many hours of pain and hardship...but hey it takes a pioneer to sort out all the bugs Seriously...today you can actually pick up a NEO DET for not too much money...so just do the swap. The prices on these things have dropped like $3K in the past year...making it not as economical to bolt a turbo on anymore. But if you need to know EVERYTHING you need to do it, just PM me. Dan

Yeah but Prank the guys criticising don't own 34's I do agree that we can post in the other sections....but it just feels like we have to dredge through a ton of stuff in a search...whereas if you just started off in the right sections answers would come quicker. Personally I feel if there was a dedicated R34 sections people would go there straight away...just like the Stagea section. You generally find the best way to get a question answered is to ask someone that has the same car. A good example is in the numerous threads where it lists part numbers like brake pads etc etc, you always get to the bit with R34 to see a load of ???????? Damn now I know how minority groups feel LOL

That's a bit extreme Gordo, the reason I mentioned it is for the pure fact the R34 seems to a mystery with most people, and everytime someone with an R34 posts a question...a majority of the replies start with "on my R33 blah blah blah" which doesn't really mean much when you're referring to a NEO. We've got more in common with the Stagea guys! Sharing the same ECU and engine/transmission parts. If anything we should make the Stagea section to include R34's at least the information being shared wouldn't be hearsay and conjecture based on what my cousins, uncles, friends, habib saw on an R32 one ful-sic night.

OK answered most of this question myself today....but does anyone know what each wire is on an R33 one? Looking at the plug that goes into it I've got Red/black White/Green & Blue/Green Just need to know which one is the 12V+, GRND and signal?

I don't think I'm alone in this request...as a lot of the other people that own R34's have a great deal of trouble finding info/tech details...etc etc It would probably help cut down on the misinformation....only today most of us found the pin-outs for the R34 ECU!!! It would be great to collate all of this info in one section. Dan

Just wondered if anyone knew if this thing actually plays an integral part in the tune of the car, or if it's just there to give a signal to the boost gauge? Also does anyone know what pin on the R34 ECU it connects to?
