  1. No the ECU is Ok, I had an in depth conversation about that with the nice people down the transport department. The basic idea of legality with an mod is: you can't make any of the supporting systems, safety aids, emissions etc etc any worse than the factory specs. Hence you can't replace an air-bag steering wheel with a lesser, non-airbag wheel. In most cases an aftermarket ECU will improve emissions if tuned properly, getting rid of those nasty rich fuel curves!
  2. Yeah that's why Daewoo have folded in Aus,....knocking out those bloody 77Kw supercars...90Kmh that's just *too* fast on Australian roads hahahaha only topped by that rediculously fast Falcon
  3. LOL most cars will do more than that in 2nd!!!!!!
  4. Hahaha that article just had me laughing in the canteen! Since when has "thrust" been a term for cars...I don't reacall too many falcons having Jet-engines? It's extremely laughable, once again the ignorant in the population are being warned against cars that can reach in excess of 200Kmh omg! Pffft my corolla could do that, it was no supercar! The comparison of the torque outputs was quite amusing though...considering the Porsche had a massive power advantage, build quality advantage...and basically the fact it's a way better car that would feel quite stable at "supercar" speeds. Once again no interesting story to occupy the front page, so let's scare the general public with misinformation. It's not about top speed, it's how fast you get to the speed limit
  5. Sorry the one on carsales is actually N/A...he's advertised it as a GT-t then commented it's N/A later The other white one on there at Southbank looks good, 18,000Kms for ~34K In my biased opinion, you'd love the 34 over the 33 in terms of equipment and the fact it's newer. It's sad to say even local cars are now starting to have more options than even the R34's....
  6. There is actually a very nice white R34 down Robina way for ~31K
  7. First pic looks partially like a 911! Hmmmm yeah I could see myself driving that
  8. The last time I tried to help a fellow Skyline...the ful-sic occupants were unappreciative and rude....so I left them trying to figure how to jump-start their car with no battery and no place to roll it up to speed
  9. The UV cut tint that the R34's have from factory is still a bit of a fight with the law as well. It's one-way...which isn't actually covered by the laws....from inside the car it looks like 35%...from outside it looks less. But as I've stressed many time to the boys in blue it *is* factory tint.
  10. Haha the amount of people that tried to talk me out of getting my car because of that...maybe they're happy driving excels!!!
  11. If I got an R34 GTR I'd put the auto in for sure. From what I've seen the Stagea 4WD box does fit in...make sure you get one from a later model with Tiptronic, it makes things more fun.
  12. Thses are only $37 and run off 12V....only 1L capacity...but you could run a larger tank into this...which would still cool down quickly. Picture of peltier tank Other peltier stuff You could even bond a load of peltiers straight to your intercooler and it'd stay nice and cool....but when they are switched off you get heat-sink back into your cooler, so they'd be better if they were constantly switched on
  13. I nearly bought a Supra...I think they're a great car too, very strong engine....but just seem a bit too heavy for my liking....the R34 was less common that sealed it for me.
  14. If you call some of the coach companies...they often take things like that along their route. Dad uses them a lot for transporting computer equipment, if they are stuck up the coast and need it ASAP from Brisbane
  15. Yeah c'mon Mud y'know it stopped making that noise after they welded the new front half on
  16. R34 25GT(t) 24 UK/Aus Chemist (Industrial)
  17. You can hook these up with a peltier cooler too....drops the water temp to around 4 degrees...so a nice cool mist to start with
  18. Phew got the phonecall I wanted...my CD has arrived! haha
  19. Manual, Sedan...etc?
  20. I want my damn CD I ordered last week....and the ECU kindly given to me by a fellow SAU member. I hate the post!!!! I'll only be happy when it's a s quick as e-mail
  21. *edited cause I was wrong* Sorry not ING...that was what was stuck in my head...I meant Heritage National Mortgage Trust (sound the same though ) and it was 9.5% not 10% For those that wanted to know, contact: [email protected] or go to www.rfa.com.au As far as I remeber it was funded through property as like most retirement villages..they get to keep the housing after the occupant dies and re-sell it onto another couple for a stupid price....the cycle repeats. It was based on it being a secured 24 month fixed term though....6 months gave a 7.75% return. Either way there are 100,000 better get rich quick schemes...you've just got to put in the effort and time.
  22. Saw a white R33 "60NER" on the back of a tilt-tray heading into the Suncorp assesment centre...ouch looks like rain claimed another one!
  23. hoo@h I can reset it if you like...I've got a consult interface thingo
  24. Depends how much power you want to squeeze...a stock R34 one may suffice.
  25. I'd say they're not the same, as when getting a quote for the whiteline handling kit....NONE of the parts were from the R33 kit.
