  1. Skippy turned into a helicopter!
  2. Jebus! Hope you get back on your feet soon! Sadwagon for sure...hope you manage to recoup some cost from parts.
  3. Was going to suggest that but didn't know what your budget was, a lot better idea if you ask me.
  4. It will bolt straight in....the ECU harness is different...but you may be able to use the existing ECU to run it.
  5. The NEO is what is found in the R34 skylines...it's the newer version of the RB25 found in the R33...makes slightly more power...and the fact that they are made from late 1998-2001 mean they are more likely to be in better condition.
  6. Contact HKS34R, he's got a late model RB25DE NEO with about 18,000kms on it....he wants ~$1000 for it, complete with ECU and harness. This is a complete bargain for this engine.

  11. hey BATMBL if anyone gets back to you offering one from an auto can you let me know...I'm after one to have a mess around with. thanks.
  12. Adrian...you broke your hand! Good effort, I've got a short fuse too...but not managed to destroy anything as a result...yet Sorry guys it was the roundabout that's over the back of Johnson Rd....is it Stapylford Rd??? near that distribution place..it's also an onramp for the Logan mty though.
  13. I was 100% sold on the R34....let's face it I bought a 25GT over an R33 GTS-t!!! But that's only because the GTt was insanely expensive when I bought my car...and my brother had an R33...so I had to go one better My main reason for getting the 34 was the fact it was newer, styling was sportier than the 33....and finally it had tiptronic, which I'm a big fan of.
  14. Hmmm sounds like another dodgy mechanic day up in Bris...we'll be having a fleet of autos getting done
  15. Could be a multitude of things...could be the dreaded piston-slap that my corolla sported
  16. Gee your prices have really skyrocketed!
  17. buy a cheap old volvo...y'know the ones that whistle because of bad aerodynamics And you can also give me that RB30 block of yours
  18. Yeah I'd have to say 90% of my "incidents" are people who do not have a clue about roundabouts...it's really not that hard to keep to your lane..and indicate your intentions. I nearly had my car writen off at the weekend on a roundabout...I came into it, the guy wanting to drive onto it from the left looked at me stopped..then at the last minute pulled out. If it had been even slightly damp on the road I would have gone straight through his car...I was stopped less than 10cm from him...all he could do was shrug at me, dickhead! My GF was going mental at him, she couldn't believe that he had stopped, then thought yeah I'll see if this Skyline has good ABS Japtaxi - Mate, she was a fat 'Browns Plainsesque' dero looking chick. (No offence to any chicks that live in B'plains and are actually hot & not dero)
  19. Had some woman lose her cool with me yesterday, the only thing I learned from this experience is...you can't argue with stupidity! I was next to her on a roundabout...so she thought she'd *try* to race through ahead of me...but unfortunately she was driving one of those centrifugally-challenged Daewoo things...and ended up cutting me off as she swung wide. OK thought to myself she can't drive so I overtook her and proceeded on my merry way with her beeping at me Later at B'plains she drove next to me at the lights and proceeded to look at me muttering, so I asked her to wnd the window down and explain her concern. She said "You maniac, you're the sort of person that kills others on the road...I've got kids in the car!!!" I said "Yes, if people like you can't drive and end up getting hit by another car" I then informed her of the *crazy* roundabout rule of left in, left out, right in right out....not right in, left out! The response of "I don't give a **** about stupid rules like that, you should have just let me go" really did prove what a moron she was...especially if she drives like that with kids in the car...plus the special words they would have heard mummy come out with at the lights It was at this point I gave her a good old fashioned, no holds barred, tag team, fists of fury response hahahaha But it's true...there is nothing like having a go at a complete stranger...you've got no feelings to worry about. I was more dissapointed that she had 3 kids which had the potential to grow up like her.
  20. As Ed said my ones died ~80,000Ks back when it was N/A and only proved annoying at idle, when the turbo went on at 110,000K's it was all too noticable....the current R33 ones I'm using seem to be OK though (fingers crossed) I did actually consider setting the packs up in a corner of the engine bay with spark leads going to the cylinders. From what I've heard, the splitfires are the go.

    Like this Idea

I didn't see any kids drinking lolli water...just doing lines off their laptops!!! Yeah it has turned a bit dero down there
  22. Why don't you go the RB30 route? I'm getting me some of that action
  23. IanH has an R34 one available I think, I'm pretty sure it's only the SII R33 AFM which is the same.
  24. Will ask around for you Darrin...I would have taken them except I could only afford magic beans* in exchange at the moment *Disclaimer - beans may not possess overly magic qualities
  25. Well it's not looking too bad so far...the only thing I need is the RB30 bottom end to get made up Hopefully this'll be on the cards for around January!!!
