  1. I've been living in a hole, but just saw the release date for both the coupe and hard-top convertible here will be December, only Big Kev would have been more excited (probably) No doubt I'd be getting those grotty Infinit badges taken off, but wow haven't we come leaps and bounds with getting a few decent Nissan models at last!!!!! I saw the hard-top 36's in the US and they were porntastic!
  2. The spray paint will be from someone respraying the engine cover. A true series 1 cover has red writing and is very rare to find in perfect condition. Next best thing is to spray solid silver to look like a series 2 cover. I was offered stupid money by a dealer for ny cover which was a perfect S1 example.
  3. V easy. Bolts and plug in loom.
  4. 75 degrees c in the oven for 15 minutes, swift hands with a flate bladed screw driver to pop the bkac clips (they will be soft and very easy to move), pry the lens in a perfectly vertical position about 20cm....alow the glue to cool, then carry on, prevents any sticking to the inside of the lens and breaking out the shellite to clean the crap off. If the glue starts to cool too quickly, stop what you're doing and put them back in the oven for round two. Have your calm pants on that day.
  5. Homo dimmer or the accessory fuse has blown
  6. Lol like when my car was stolen. They quoted 3k to repair. So I went down to look at the car and asked how they came to that figure....next thing 18k to fix so was written off. They tried selling it back to me for 15K, hahaha as if!
  7. Haha the following have been through my mower in varying ratios from pure laziness. White spirits, ethanol, methanol, nitromethane, acetone, shellite, toluene....etc go the rover!
  8. Space Invader is fantastic for fabrication But you're right with the 'buttering' technique being a bitch. It's good when you can get away with less organic shapes and just go for sheet metal cladding.
  9. Hoping before Christmas pending my wife's work load. PFFFT to dyno fear...I tuned my car on a hired dyno and it's not hard. So if you're at a reputable place and the engine isnt flawed it'll be sweet.
  10. Yeah it's the tacky paint that collects dust, wiping it off with metho just leaves the nice shiny black ABS plastic substrate.
  11. Run the paper clip diagnostic and expect error 21.....coil pack replacement on the cards.
  12. LOL so little whoring, reckon I'll get a picture from my Mexico trip in on the same page as my Fiji trip!
  13. I've been in a similar situation on the other side, some 18yo princess trying to claim that I literally destroyed the back of her car with our 4WD. The only damage done was the corner of my number plate bent about 5 degrees. I took so many pictures of the whole thing without her knowing, when it came down to her "claim" the evidence from me quickly sorted it out. Pics, pics and more pics....even of the driver helps. I was annoyed as it meant the little scrut actually smashed the back of her car within a close time frame and thought she could pin some cost on me! Obviously a failed reverse attempt.
  14. Actually you're right, Squirts do a range to match White kitchen appliances, I'm pretty sure Satin was there
  15. It's a bit of a waiting game on those bars, then it's either a bidding war or first in gets dibs unfortunately. Keeping trawling the "for sale" section and something may turn up.
  16. I've got a pair of brake light looms if you want to replace them completely
  17. Australian Export brand from Supercheap will do an enamel satin (they do the black for sure) Another option is to apply a satin clear over a gloss white, gives pretty much the same result.
  18. This thread is probably a little redundant now, finally thanks to being in the future we now have drop-in LED replacements for the R32 A/C
  19. They 'barn ones with eventually die also from what I've seen, they don't even come close to our "special brew" version and yet they were quite adament that my prices to supply were too high, they weren't happy with only 300% markup when they could get a 1000% and rely on people losing receipts or being too complacent about complaining.
  20. Unfortunately being complementary colours, RED never lights up super well with GREEN, you'll find ater a while you'll get used to it. The needles can be lit up, but with a lot of work involved
  21. Put the dimmer in, get the desired ohm figure, then go and buy two decent wattage rated ceramic resistors, they'll never die and don't cost the earth. One mounted in each main earth wire on the incoming loom will fix the whole assembly.
  22. They work out cheap for a reason.....generally a week later when they flicker and die. I stock all colours for both Dash and AC......even Pink Dan
  23. Sanding the tipd ot a lob of hot melt glue really helsp, nre stock coming are all short lengeth wide-dpread SMD though, so may fix it up
