  5. Yeah I got defected for the windscreen on the corolla once...just had to send the notice back saying I had fixed it...no fine. Unless they tick the "required for inspection" box they just trust you've fixed it.

  13. I've got a 4.083 diff at the moment, which I think feels too tall especially when it takes so long to wind from 0-3000rpm *yawn* Do you think I would benefit much from going to the 4.363 LSD item that's available? Can I near a few opinions on this? Personally I reckon it'll be sweet

Bringing this thread alive again I've got an R34..and want to put in a 4.3 ratio diff...going from a 4.08 so I take it that calibrating the speedo to normal should not be a problem as the signal comes from the ECU and is adjusted by the jumper settings. Just need to work out the adjustment factor now

  17. I'm with 'Bob...the reason the prices seem to be dropping is the fact people just won't front the cash...forcing some poor buggers to drop the price and lose too much money on them. I say stand your ground if you sell....if someone wants a 34 bad enough they'll pay the money *evil laugh* And if the prices did fall that much I'll keep my one to give to my *future* kids...they'll own a cool old-school turbo...ahhh it'lll be a classic
  18. If you're able to read the blue factory plate off the car it came from it would help....should have a serial number that ends in RC40 or similar...or is there a partl number on the diff? RB25DET 5spd had 4.111 ratio RB25DE 5spd had 4.363 ratio RB25DET 4spd had (4.083/2WD) ratio (4.363/4WD) ratio I'd really be interested to know exactly what one it is?
  19. C'mon anyone...the injectors and fuel pump alone would be sweet for a second fuel rail or two hook into the intake manifold. $100 for injectors + pump!!!

  22. Yeah head-gaskets aren't too bad to replace...just give yourself a weekend and you'll get it done no problem, with time to spare. It's just time consuming...that's why it's so costly. The head gasket on my corolla went...$50 for the gasket...yet quoted $1000 to put it in, why wouldn't you do it yourself if you have the tools? Dan
