  4. Just seeing if anyone else has had an experience like this? Turns out the reason my coilpacks were misfiring and not having enough guts was…..the battery had done itself a mischief and was acting like a load across the alternator!!! I was starting to notice that the fuel pump was up and down in pitch if I put my foot on the brake…and then Saturday the battery died 100% Replaced it yesterday and now it’s like a new car! No dimming of the lights when the sub kicks in either….damn electrical faults! So I’m back in business

  8. It was my bastard battery that died!!! all fixed now spose should have expected it...it was the original one from factory...back in good old '99
  9. Sold!!! You don't get defected for a pod up here unless it alters the emissions of your car....hence why aftermarket computers such as my one are also legal if tuned well enough.
  10. Munky to cover that....I still call my one a 25GT+t cause that's what it is...just like calling a GTS25t a GTR just cause it's got an RB26DETT in it...it just isn't one. I'd say even though I used an R33 turbo...got a restrictive exhaust but used and aftermarket computer...my one feels like it goes harder than the stock 25GTt...with a better exhaust on my car I think it'll be quite impressive....for a turbo'd 25GT that is Dan

  12. It’s well worth paying for a mint condition car, my one was VERY good when I got her, as new condition. BTW mate you’ll find your insurance will only jump about $100 for putting the turbo on…if you’re lucky it won’t jump at all
  13. Yeah I agree with Abo Bob, when cold the gearbox does slip a fair bit, when the heat is into it though it’s great. I only used to notice this slightly when the car was N/A…with the turbo the effect is very noticeable….just means letting the car warm-up properly that’s all. With my current dramas with coil packs I’ve still been very cautious with putting in the ignition harness…so much that I’ve decided to sell it. The rest of the e-manage works perfectly though, and I’ve been very happy with the ease of programming it with a laptop.

  16. The car is up to 120,000 now...and I've only had it just under 2 years I live in the thing!
  17. I've had a slight electrical issue since it was N/A just looks like it's decided to become a major issue all of a sudden. I'm just glad that it happened before the turbo went on otherwise I'd be VERY pissed-off. It's a shame becuase the car has been no-dramas since I got it...then this has started up, got a good 75,000 of hassle free motoring though.
  18. It looks like the car knew my wallet was empty after putting on the turbo...so thought it would let things start messing up
  19. Yeah looks like an electrical fault somewhere...been getting worse...past 2 days I've had a dead battery. No load when the car is switched....so not being drained? Alternator runs car fine when battery is disconnected? Thinking either the battery is completely shite...or there is a strange charging issue. Also managed to make the car idle funny and lose a cylinder by wiggling some of the ecu leads today, so it's like the wiring has decided to die!!!

  21. Yeah would love to go to a defect cruise...unfortunately I wouldn't even be able to make it damn car has finally shit itself...will turn but not fire. It's all looking to be like a broken wire somewhere...affecting coils and firing. Can't be arsed looking for it now!!!
