  1. Ahhh they're overlays, so yeah if the numerals aren't bang-on, the light isn't going to come through. Have you got anyway of removing the factory plastics and just leaving the cyberstork ones in place? I would have thought Cyberstork would have been a failry good item, maybe not For painting the needles, go to autobarn and get red lens repair spray in a can, it's clear and bright red, woks a treat.
  2. LOL I was wondering when these would pop up, I've got the Jinpeng X8 version
  3. Nah the sub was horizontal and lost under the parcel shel, it was all secret squirrel and compact.
  4. In my old car I built a custom box which sat under the parcel shelf and on the fuel tank ledge, made use of the space you just have to be a bit creative with designing the box capacity with the dimension constraints. I regret not doing it with the current car, but I only use the boot a couple of times a year, so taking the sub box out on those special occasions doesn't both me *that* much.
  5. Worse than that it'll be rich as!!! Your car will blow black smoke-rings so perfectly round you'd swear the exhaust turned tricks and sucked pole for a living. Don't do it, be a man and change the stock o-rings
  6. This is the particular "Fail" with the E46, it looks VERY dated, plus the seats aren't that flash a design either The 370Z is also not to her liking, the 'tick' shaped lights and the fact it looks a little over the top with the styling also lost her, interior is fine though hahaha.
  7. Thought of a Japanese car that may be OK, she doesn't actually have an aversion to the 350Z, I'll test the water there again....she does however have an aversion to me turbocharging cars after the R34 "gave her a headache" funny as I don't recall her helping me do that or go through any of the R&D of getting it working, or even getting her hands dirty??????
  8. Well basically it looks as if I'm being rat-f**ked into the getting the TTS *awaits tidle wave of laughter* yes you guessed it, it has come down to "what car looks better" to the Mrs. Currently she says BMW E46 M3 "Looks dated, interior sucks" BMW E92 335i "Likes a lot, but looks like an old mans car from the back" Audi B7 RS4 "Old mans car, has four doors, wtf are you thinking" Audi 8J TTS "Fantastic LOOKING car, wow I love these (even though your face is screwed up when you mention lack of performance" Porsche 996 Carrera "I like them, not fussed either way" I even threw the SLK 350 AMG into the mix today as we parked next to one......she said "What the hell is that, it's tiny" I've tried saying we can get her a nice cheaper TT that's not Quattro (to apease the 'looks' issue) and me getting something more on the awesome side...but it's being vetoed hard at the moment. I've suggested we just do the rounds of the showrooms and go for some test drives and see what we can agree on. She's not a massive fan of my car that's for sure, I got an ear bashing today because of it's noticeable performance increase since she got in it last week, bloody human dyno I tell ya!!!!
  9. Just get the manual ECU, from memory the shifting points in the n/a control unit are more favourable with regards to box life. Alternately you could disconnect the current setup, but I'd say that would be a lot of messing around tracing wires and finding where things need to be bypassed etc etc I've seen numerous well-priced manual ECU's in the for sale section
  10. The R34 N/A has the shift computer built into a seperate ECU in the drivers side of the car, this alone controls the gearbox, not the main ECU. If you've put in an auto GTT ECU, it has the shift computer internal, so both shift ECU's will be sending signals to the box (confusing the fark out of it) If you just put in the manual GTT ECU, it should all work just fine as it won't be getting the second lot of interfering signals. I ran a manual GTT ECU in my NA+t and the gearbox worked just fine.
  11. The new M3 is a bit too pricey Then you need to add the cost of some brakes that won't fade
  12. Damo, you should clearly know who wants me to get a 'real' car then instead of the 'boy racer thing' I have now haha. I'm a few weeks off my 8 year R34 ownership anniversary, so yes ready for a change I was actually all keen for the RS4 as my preference was manual AWD. But after considering how many dry days we do have in QLD RWD is still a good option, which strongly points to the 335i. The E46 is still hot from the outside, but I'm put of by the 80's looking satnav seriously the R34 looks more modern inside. I'm not sure I could cope with feeling like I'm in an older car. Shame the TTRS isn't cheaper, I'd be all over that for sure. Don't even get me started on the comprimise of getting a nice, slow (yet grown up) BMW and me having an EVO...that didn't go down well either
  13. OK here is a nice range of cars to consider some quicker than others, some with 2 doors some with 4, some turbo some not, what would you go for and why????
  14. I'm at 135,000 and the car is sweet My last one saw 160,000kms and all that needed was the suspenion to be reconditioned.
  15. *Un-fullled*
  16. Hi, yes direct fit, they're in my R34. I may have just run out sets though....but as a few people have asked, I will get a few in 4500K & 8000K as well as the 6000K I normally have on hand.
  17. Lies, I was just there and didn't see 'said car'
  18. I did consider the 'S' when getting my seats done, but I saw it on another car and it looked a little odd with just that on the seats. I ended up going with "Skyline" in the correct Nissan font-
  19. Saw 94BNR.....the 'gabnermeister' on Beenleigh Rd...was a couple of cars back in the wifes car, Mr Miragi!
  20. This one got me - "Spider coming out from behind sun visor" It was a big dirty huntsman that then ran down onto my door, I managed to quickly open the door and stamp it to death on the window seal. People looked at me funny!
  21. LOL found these again, no offers under $750 thanks
