  1. Something isn't right there, for the CEL to be activated it has to be linked to a failure code. The only way to keep reading 55 'no code' is if when the car is turned off it cuts power to the ECU and resets every time. So when you pull the code it isn't retained correctly.
  2. If anyone is interested I've received 4 pairs of the replacement reverse lamp bulbs, basically same output as the tungsten bulb but in HID WHITE. They're a direct replacement (tabs do need to be squeezed together to grip the LED base better) $22.50 delivered for the pair.
  3. Yeah mate, have those as well.
  4. I used some special high-output LED globes, with clear/white tops on them you can't see the bulb at all. I'm the supplier, unfortunately I don't have them in stock at the moment and they're about 3 weeks off arriving Also you need to replace the relay to stop the bulbs flashing too fast.
  5. Sorry no, I only carry the drop-in replacements for the R34 and V35's
  6. Got another 5 sets of these again, still selling at the reduced price of $65 a pair All of them are 6000K and are both D2R/D2S multifit, so can go into either socket.
  7. You need to put one end of the multimeter in the corresponding pin, then check continuity at the TCS switch. Also check the other side of the TCS switch against ground
  8. So glad I refused to ever watch a 3D movie about blue fairies, I'm going to use that 2h:41 and put it to good use....drinking
  9. So the factory switch doesn't trip it either? I'll have a look at the diagram and see what the go is. Essentially the switch grounds the signal wire and trips the ECU. So unless there is something funny like a break in the continuity of the switch wire from the button back to the ECU it should work, also check the pin is OK on the ECU, not bent etc etc Pulling the blade out of the throttle body is actually not a good idea. When the TCS kicks in it reduces airflow with the throttle body and cuts fuel to 3 cylinders at the same time. So just letting more air in isn't going to stop the 3 cylinders starving from fuel. The TCS will still work and it actually results in a lot more backfire as the mix is more lean.
  10. was behind CNC33 on the Logan Mtwy
  11. Get splitfires, do it at home in an arvo. Don't replace factory Nissan coils one by one with factory Nissan coils, they're all going to die prematurely and it's not worth the headache. Put the splitfires in, then smile to yourself knowing you will NEVER have an issue again
  12. Spotted SPR34 in Windsor late last night, was in a taxi next to you
  13. That's why the first step is to pull the codes from the computer using a paperclip. Error 21 = 10000% coil packs, any other error number and you need to check the related sensor/actuator that it refers to. Just the TCS and SLIP light showing relates to a fault in the TCS system, normally something to do with the throttle motor Fixing things without knowing what part you should be changing is a bit pointless
  14. Not too sure, I've had 2 x R34's both with different levels of privacy tint from factory. The last car was literally impossible to see through from outside, but looking from inside was actually pretty good. It's very one way, the current stuff I don't even notice it being tinted from the inside.
  15. Yeah I know the sound, I get it for the first 1-2 seconds on startup if the car has been sitting there. You'res definately doesn't cease. I'm with the guys on this, foamy oil and the lifters staying that noisey kind of indicates that the upper head lubrication isn't going so well.
  16. During compliance the dimmer that gets fitted (sometimes) is tied up under the steering column, I found my one there.
  17. loss of power during gear-changes...fail
  18. Searchy-search-search How to remove R33 dash cluster
  19. Yep for the reason shown below, something that is 'less yellow' appears 'more blue' even though it is a spectrally a definate pure white (5000k to be exact) it is 'less yellow' than a 3000K tungsten bulb. A good example is to put the white LED next to a BLUE one, it actually appears 'more yellow' but for the clowns at Regency 'perecption is reality'
  20. Hopefully prior to June things will be ready to kick off Can't wait to do my lights!
  21. Are the tail lights fairly scratch-free on the lenses?
  22. I still want to see the statistics plotted against the actual driving population, I'm sure the toll would actually be going down a each year per driver
