  1. I'd just go to Super cheap and get a generic male/female plug and replace what's there so it matches up. Even those bullet connectors that plug/unplug.
  2. Absinthe FTW, it's a bit tricky balancing the flaming glass on the steering column though
  3. OK you should have a big delay, that indicates you need to start counting. Then 13 flashes, whatever flash is slightly longer is the problem. So i'm guessing you're seeing flash number one as more delayed (ie big delay, then flash one delayed?) Which is Vehicle Speed Sensor 1 (Output shaft speed sensor) it's the sensor on the gearbox visible from underneath on the drivers side, orange/brown plug I think. May be something as simple as needing the contacts cleaned, seeing as it's random (and something they may have touched fitting the shift kit) I'd unplug, clean and clip back on.
  4. Yep they are a pink 'sticker' now, not a Green plate (old system)
  5. Well it doesn't flash for no reason I'd try pulling the codes off the transmission ECU to see the cause.
  6. I use some nice Valvoline Falcadore transmission fluid, was a nice change from whatever shit came out
  7. OK just to highlight there are two types of issue you can run into. 1. Excessive sideways action (normally a stpuid amount) will get the gearbox to lock into 3rd, it's a safety feature. I've experienced that only at skidpan days and still only managed it twice in the whole day. 2. Most common is the solenoids shitting themselves. There is a diagnostic procedure in the workshop manual that involves a sequence of braking and gearshifitng that will run the transmission diagnostic, this is a good start to really delve into the problem as it is very specific and will highlight 100% if it's the solenoids or other components.
  8. Spotted a certain white mirage, on the way back from the pie shop
  9. Saying that though a gearboot is a $20 item and easy to replace, judging by those scratches, that centre console has been in and out more times than I'd care to imagine. My previous R34 N/A was a genuine 47,000kms (back in 2002) and it looked literally new, that car looks like it's had a hard 76,000kms.
  10. That's right, it's not *meant* to, but if it f**ks up it's random as
  11. Loganlea, the new estate just off the toll road?
  12. Nup, no bouncing around. It's similar to the one above....comes with 2 screws that line up with the existing holes in the reflector. Also has a 3M adhesive rubber backing, between the 2 fixing methods it doesn't move at all.
  13. We stock the complete item in LED form $8.50 a pair delivered
  14. Funny though, that's not completely out of the question. I'm looking at moving on very shortly *has a think* LOL
  15. Absolute c$nts, I even got $200 for an Exa with a farked engine!!!
  16. That's pretty open ended What sort of minimum mods are you looking at? And I'm guessing manual?
  17. I'd be thinking along the lines of the shift solenoids making rough changes...but the uresponsive changing could also be the electronic lock-up torque converter that the M-ATx box has. Normally it's completely disengaged when you're running tiptronic mode (you can see that on the highway going from D to 4, the revs will increase slightly) I'd run a diagnostic of both the ECU and the transmission ECU and see if any codes are stored.
  18. Great wheels, I like the look of that silver car as well...hmmm Seriously the price is good, you'd be looking at some foul design Rodney Jane "Racing Wheels" with deadly Maxxis tyres for pretty much the same price. Why not get something awesome straight up.
  19. Nah, will get onto it next week.....in the middle of exams at the moment, so had a shift of focus :S
  20. OK they are on the way to me and due Friday!!!
  21. That was my second thought after initially thinking Joeyjoe..... was up to no good
  22. Gravity gun, suction gun or pressure pot? Have you checked to make sure it's 100000% clean with no cured paint in there, the tiniest bit of shit can play havoc?
  23. Most common R34 problem in the world, replace the coil packs as they all die eventually and you'll be running on less and less cylinders until it won't go. I don't know of a single R34 that has not had this issue.
