  1. With my front splits the tweeters are mounted opposite the mirror on the triangle angled into the cabin. Rear splits, the tweeters are mounted on the parcel shelf between the speakers and the side of the car on 45 degree angle into the cabin. I've got a 12" Sub in the boot nothing monstrous produces enough bass. Gives fantastic depth to the sound, crystal clear and hits every note, my best install yet.
  2. Is your car the sedan with R33 wheels parked out the front? If so I wondered who owned that, I pass it almost everyday. I would have thought the compression should have been up around the 150-170 mark and a lot more consistant than that :S Funny how things go though, my ECU shat itself today, big puff of smoke as the ignition transistor split in half
  3. My brother still has 33GTS laying around...haven't been on a car for about 3 years now, used to get lots of interest in them but no-one wanted to buy them.
  4. Deatschwerks are cheaper than that and offer trade-in www.deatschwerks.com
  5. OK I've now seen this on 3 x R34s (my GTt being one) I noticed a very strange intermittent shift in power in my car some months back, some days it would be going a fair bit harder than other days. Idle quality started to decline, braking hard would stall the car sometimes (very on and off) and the car had developed a faint slight shudder/miss on idle. Today I turned the key, started fine...then 5 seconds later started to struggle, accompanied by a puff of smoke from the ECU kick panel and the smell of burning...oh noes! I've opened up the ECU and the primary power transistor for the ignition signal has cracked above a very blackened 4th pin (exactly the same as the other 2 ECU's I've managed to look at) So there you go, I have no idea why it occurs, it's rare but always seems to affect the same power transistor and results in losing a cylinder. Lucky I had a spare 4AK19 Hitachi chip laying around to fix it

  10. I wasn't entitled a windscreen, but managed to get one fitted just the other week for $320.....they're now made locally!!!
  11. Suncorp, CTP covers you as the at fault driver for injury in an accident.
  12. Yup that's right, I used the heater hose near the firewall
  13. 2 x 6000K and 3 x 8000K ready for immediate delivery
  14. 105mm and 58mm at the top of the bevelled section. Tapers down to ~100mm and ~55mm where it contacts the gauges.
  15. As long as the jugs of margs are icy

    Exhaust

The original exhaust on the other car was all from an R33 and modified to fit, had a funny 30cm hump near the firewall to clear everything...think it was about 2.75" with a round tip. Yeah get 3" I've currently got a twin tip, it looks stock

Right Price did the matching up of my NA+t exhaust system years ago, was a neat job. I've found them to be way helpful actually.
  18. I thought it was possible to use GTR top feeds with the NEO as long as you did have and aftermarket rail and some spacers...the injector length differs that's for sure, can't remember how the o-rings measured up in comparison. I used to talk to a guy in Greece that was running 440 GTR injectors in his Neo and he claimed it was just a matter of changing the fuel rail. Personally I wouldn't bother with all the hassle and just run aftermarket NEO injectors, I doubt you'll see the limits of the factory rail.
  19. If you find someone who can fix that up let me know, many people ask me how it can be done as it's some pretty strange plastic that stuff. I've babied my one terribly and still managed a funny little mark on it that won't go away.
  20. Autobarn should have an equivalent. They supplied me with a BP9 Dark Blue Pearl, which is a 2 coat system from factory...it was a perfect match. As with most of the spray pack colours they supply though, it must be sprayed to get the hue/colour match, you can't just daub it on as the metal flake and pigments will not allign correctly and give a mismatch.
  21. Neo OEM coil packs die, fact of life Replace them all with Splitfires and never have a problem again
  22. Even though 170 on a public road is a bit "spirited" I think they way the government is trying to bundle speeding into the same basket as drink driving and murder is rediculous. A lot of their campaigns are based on the "even 1kmh over" bullshit, lets face it that's a load of bollocks. All speed limits are based on a decision by some twerp in the city planner section, or worse. I've been on many signposted 100kmh roads that have put the fear of god into me if I've gone over 80kmh. The government needs to man up, stop feeding eveyone bullshit statistics and maybe go for the truth. Getting the road toll to under 300 will be impossible as the drving population booms each year, maybe if they randomly disqualified a million licences it may get down that low. Surely someone out there has tallied up that each year more and more money is injected into road safety, yet the road toll goes up.....how about we pull all police funding, maybe the toll will go down?
  23. Looks like I need to get my 'Harold Bishop' pants out for this event......*shakes chins* "Whwhwhwhwhw why you listen here, I'll eat you under the table, young Toadie"
  24. How I miss the noise old rover used to make......squelch, squelch, squelch...each swing just delightful music
  25. Can't complain for a $100 car I'm sure even finding a replacement CA18DE will be fairly cheap, may blow the budget out to $1250 though Oh better factor in the cans of cheap white paint as well, no expense spared here
