  1. I'm picking up the N13 (S)Exa this week as well, need to investigate the current CA18DE that's in it though as it's suddenly decided to run on 3 cyl. If it turns out to be nothing too bad, operation bolt-on GT28RS will begin I've got pretty much everything at my disposal to pull this conversion off for sub $1K haha lets see how it goes!!!!!
  2. +1 Me Joshwa! I'm bringing a hot date
  3. Would be interesting to see this with the R34 and their apparently "improved" electronic lock-up torque converter (Nissans "E-flow") either way I've always factored 33% loss in the autos, some people have been way to conservative on the actual loss.
  4. Yep pops right out, I've got my one sitting here on the desk, it's just a normal T5 socket with removable bulb attached to a big black plug
  5. It's a very firmly attached T5
  6. LOL it's got the media on the "road toll increases each year" band wagon....I wonder if they realise the inexperienced driving population increases each year as well? Most likely per capita the road toll is actually dropping, but that would just be a bit too controversial to admit!!!!
  7. "super Vison" brand, which are actually made by the Tai Chang Xenon company. I've been using the same manufacturer for about 2 years now, the ones in my car have proved to be fantastic.
  8. Damn why couldn't it be black
  9. Yeah Delta is right, take the sticky shit off...takes minutes with metho. The final product is only as good as the surface preparation Also I didn't use clear coat over the Power Plus "Desert Rose" I wanted it more matt/semigloss like factory..so avoided any gloss. Another tip, when priming use the primer sparingly as *ANY* pooling of primer will eat the plastic trim as it has massive amounts of Toluene as solvent, you'll get what looks like crazing and cracking in the surface. Take as much time as you can, don't rush, be patient and everything will go great.

    Exhaust

That made me laugh!!!! Yep I've got a CES system, pricey but performs beyond belief, and best of all legal dB I'm glad I went there, a friend with an R34 tried to do it for cheaper and got all the parts from CES had someone else fit and weld it up and ended in disaster....the car actually ended up going to CES to have them fix up what had been done and tune the length of the exhaust to remove all of the excessive drone. It's not just a matter of custom welding a bunch of pipes together, there's a lot more on the technical side to getting flow and low noise.
  11. Talk about digging up an old thread The pic above is the white, as with my kits it can come out blueish if the dials have the blue film in them (to counteract some of the yellow in the factory bulbs)
  12. If you're just chasing drop-in bulbs to replace the factory D2R's I've got 2 pairs of 6000K and 3 pairs of 8000K....you don't need all of the extra ballast and stuff with the factory setup. Viet boi...you'd want 6000K to see more of a blue-ish white over stock, 8000K have a definate blue look like the Honda Accord Euro headlights
  13. Put me down, lets smash it up!
  14. More available Remember it doesn't remove TCS, just defaults it to "TCS off" it can be turned on with a simple press of the TCS button (how it should be)
  15. I've got part of the loop wire stripped bare, I just connect to that, works perfectly
  16. If you have the factory system as long as you're replacing 35w D2R's with 35w D2R's it doesn't matter what colour temperature they are, it's still 35w
  17. That'll be the check engine light, not the oil light. As mentioned above, super-common R34 fault, get some splitfire coil packs and have them installed. ~$500 for the splitfires and should only be $100 to fit at the very most.
  18. No I never did find out, I bought some drop-ins from deatschwerks instead

    Quad Charged Gtr

Funtastic! Defiantely not to be used in conjunction with launch control
  21. If it has to be kept N/A do the following RB30 bottom end Cams/Headwork Decked block to bring compression to 10.5:1 (or through piston selection) Aftermarket ECU 2.5" Exhaust with highflow cat converters Install and fabrication costs will vary from shop to shop, but $8K should see a very reliable and well built setup that loves to rev
  22. A cusco cylinder stopper helps a bit with the 25GT brakes, so do decent pads, slotted rotors will see you stopping very well
  23. Someone mentioned this in the DIY/Maint area, something to do with the ABS relay being faulty....replace that and all is fixed LINK
  24. I'm starting down this track once again...this time I'm doing an EXA CA18DE+t Picked a nice one up for $100...would be rude not to boost it
