  1. lol I forgot I wrote that, I was fully stirring
  2. Ex-demo or 2nd hand I will....
  3. I heard from a source that he had an angina attack and almost blacked out, went to sit down to get his Nitro spray and collapsed. Could have been fatal.
  4. Spotted Dan "boner" aka 60NER on the M1.....just joking.......gon'er it is Waved but I think you were disctracted by the blonde seatcover to your left. Also I keep see NSN32 everywhere...are you following me? Saw you at Wembley Rd roundabout, up at Nathan campus, on the gateway near the bridge...tons of random places I'm always at!
  5. I'm using a tuned-frequency knock detector, not an SAFC. Well most of my WOT gearchanges are when the rev-limit is kicking in, so a lot of popping/flaming/overfuelling and ignition cutting going on, normal gearchanges I'm not seeing much of anything
  6. You need to run it side-by-side with a proper knock detector on a dyno, if they don't hear anything but the SAFC does...ignore the SAFC to the point it's indicating. With my one '125' is where knock is being heard....I get ~70 at WOT, but on WOT gearchange 100 I'm putting it down to engine noise in general
  7. Its probably the SAFC hearing stuff on the change, I can get relatively more noise on a WOT change...it's not knock though, the SAFC may not filter the signal from the sensor well enough and indicates it a high knock instead.

    Black R35 Coming

    Errrrr......
  9. OK trawling around on the 'ebay' I found something that jumped out at me, this guy down the Goldcoast sells carbon fibre travel rods, the best thing is they have found a way to bond camo patterns to the CF so they look wicked cool! I bought a camo green one off him, he's only got the urban camo one listed at the moment Carbon Fibre Camo Rod the link has been iffy....much like SAU but the ebay item number is 260276445000 but yeah more than impressed with it as it's like 40cm long packed in the case
  10. lol and how long have I had my R34 ECU tuneable? 3+ years now, and the best $200 I ever spent
  11. 2 Seater wouldn't bother me.....I'd get away with a single seat 99% of the time
  12. LOL not 17 - 25yo anymore....as P Platers can only drive gay imports that are lucky to do skids
  13. My injectors are that loud as well
  14. A capacitor and a diode wired on the output gives you peak hold ability
  15. Not really as once you've eliminated engine noise (background) over the rev range any slight knock will immediately shoot you straight over 1.25v anyway (that's the trigger frequency its looking hard for) So sticking to under 1.00v knock you know you're safe. I'm getting a max of 0.65v and there is not a hint of detonation, even that I could use as a yard-stick to tune against. Would be good to put it on a car with a PFC and compare knock values though
  16. VB here's something of interest! I've ditched the bar graph volatage display in favour of the >$8 multimeter Jaycar have. When you wire this up you now an output in Volts so can use that as your degree of knock; anything under 1.00V is safe, anything over needs attention You basically free-rev the car, set the pot so free revving = 0.00v and it eliminates background noise, even a slight knock will spike well over 1.00v instantly as it's actively listening in that frequency range. It works great and can all fit in a jiffy box with 3 inputs (knock sensor, 12V + & -) just have a rotary dial to set sensitivity and you've got an LCD display from the cheapo voltmeter, an accurate and sensitive det-box for $30!!!
  17. I'll also give a thumbs up to EastCoastCustoms, they supplied my king springs a few years back and fitted them onto some stock R34 suspension I had (they may remember me coming down with the back sitting up 2 inches over the front, dragster style)
  18. Tons of good bolt-on HKS turbos in the FS section...there was recently a bargain GT2535, not sure if it's still there, can recommend them on the RB25 though
  19. *keeps an eye out for fully sick green silvia*
  20. All I can say is Boooo Bryn, I was second in line for it and you never even used it
  21. lol no, only a PFC will trigger the CEL for engine knock, the stock ECU will not display the CEL if there is any knock detected....would be great if it did If it was a brief flash 9/10 it's the O2 sensor, if it goes on an remains on, most likely coil packs..run the diagnostic to be sure.
  22. Haha yeah I heard it was a possiblity, then got an excited phone call from a mate that saw it, shame the new packaging wasn't out then, it's showing the older style....the newer stuff is sex Should be coming to a 'performance shop near you' in the next 3-6 months hopefully.
