  1. 80 would be a worry, the R34's open the thermostat at 82 and are full open at 95....80 would mean somethings up as well
  2. So we're saying 4 degrees retarded is way to go...."4's the key!!!" Oh the humanity, I'll have to put it on the dyno and see, others are telling me 2 degrees advance on the Neo's :S
  3. 100% Shift solenoids, get them both changed (A + B) while your car still at least lets you use the other gears and reset the box. It'll eventually lock you in 3rd forever!!!!
  4. I've always been of the opinion it's easier to throw the R34 sensors on the RB26 and run an R34 Power FC to keep everything simple, just splice easy looms like the injectors and minor stuff. PM Driver, he did his own RB26 conversion in his R34
  5. GT2535 10psi @ 5500rpm would defiantely be outflowing the AFM, but I would have though that the e-manage would be bending the signal enough that the ECU wouldn't see it as anywhere near 5v
  6. That shit is whack! Some ghetto crack-dealer is going to have one fast pimp mobile with that fitted It's even too ugly for me to like
  7. Ditto...come one, come all! As for police....my car has apparently had a Flag for the past 3 years as being stolen Must be pulled over if sighted) I've been pulled over once in the whole time..and it was apparently to be told that.
  8. Ah-ha it's you! Yeah I see you around a fair bit
  9. Please close this thread, car isn't for sale anymore unless someone has a remarkably good offer (considering it's now got HKS turbo and other bits on it)
  10. The only place for an exhaust is CES (Custom Exhaust Specialists) at Meadowbrook......you'll be guaranteed with legal sound and massive flow. My advice, find someone with R34 experience, the electronics side of a 34 is vastly different to the previous model Skylines, don't let some tard near it that ends up costing you money through ignorance. General RB "mechanical" shouldn't be too much stress for most mechanics that have done a fair bit of work on Skylines in general. When you find an R34 qualified person let me know
  11. Drive both an R33 and R34, then laugh hysterically that you considered an R33
  12. Just had a thought, the R34 tiptronic has all the shift-logic built into the ECU (it's a whole other sub-board in there) I'd be suprised if they have got a unit for the R34 as that would involve a massive amount of development for just one vehicle. R33 autos are another story, the shift ECU isn't integrated, that's why PFC's work in them
  13. A good liberal spray of cloudy ammonia will loosen tint
  14. Yeah some feedback from me hahaha, you're right, I've said the same thing. At the moment it's good for R34's both auto and manual....very limited market, but an essential one with so few competitors. I'm just glad everything problematic reltaed to what I am doing is fixed. I was just throwing it as an option for any of the R34 guys (especially tiptronic owners like myself) as under $500 for the board is pretty cheap. Programming could be done by a half-blind child with dyslexia.
  15. Depends how nuts you want to go, the bikirom daughterboard (running version 3 software) is more than good enough in the R34, especially for the price. You've got full access via USB to most of the maps you'd want to frig with. The only thing V3 is missing is real-time upload, but that's been sorted with V4 anyway...so bit of a moot point. So easy to tune now it's sickening, shame it was like this out of the box 2 years ago, took time to develop I suppose.
  16. You'd just need to throw a manual gearbox in my car, the rest is there for the powah! Dunno though, I'm having fun with it in current trim
  17. I think they have the flange about 30cm further than and R33...would need to cut that section off to fit up to the cat....or run no cat
  18. GTR lip is a pain to fit...that is all Nah, align the guard section first...bolt it nice and tight, the start "convincing" the rest to line up while bolting section by section....slightly sprung loaded but will fit a treat
  19. I put one on my R34 a long time ago and it bolted straight on, if it's not fitting it's got to be an RB26 one...from memory I thought the RB20 one had a kink in it as well, not a straight shaft like that...which would also scream RB26
  20. It's like I'm being followed by people Actually not a car related mission, was getting a punch bag at A-mart for shits 'n' giggles
  21. Yep visitng the inlaws....don't like parking there, that's where my other 34 got stolen....same spot :S
  22. I know exactly how boost is made, in fact so much so that I know the gate shouldn't be bleeding "air" I find it very hard to believe that you've had the gate taken off and a giant f**k-off gaping hole hasn't tapered the boost off at all....something is fishy, either what's being done is a bit "chinese whipsers" with what's being relayed in this thread, or someone has f**ked up somewhere. Good luck though as I've got the opposite issue with boost dropping off due to some mystery issue (may be the exhaust cam has bee firgged with in the past) and it's now a year and coutning trying to fix that issue.
