  1. I don't get it, you bought the 44mm gate as it works with the manifold when installed in the *proper* designed way. Wouldn't it just make sense to install it as originally designed, then sit back and be happy?
  2. Yeah I'm thinking something cam related with my car, not sure if I should go the route of poncams or just try frigging around with and adjustable gear.
  3. I'd say the HKS suggestion is coming from those that have put "alternate" turbos on their cars only to grow unhappy with them and eventually get an HKS in the long run. Sometimes it's worth not being an impatient f**k and save up the money to do something right instead of blowing money on one setup, growing tired of the poor characteristics it'll have then blowing another load of money on a well designed setup from HKS and wishing you'd done it in the first place. Second hand HKS turbos are doing the rounds for maybe another few hundred on what the KKR setup is going to cost....and will outlast it. Do it right the first time
  4. Auto or Manual sedan...or not fussy?
  5. You may find a local brake shop are more cost effective.....especially if you've got an HKS turbo that uses whacky brakeline sizes
  6. You should be getting an easy 240-250 on that turbo (same as my one) at 14 psi not 18, I'd get a retune. You will regret swapping to something else as the 2535 is wicked-awesome for street and spools up nice and quickly. What sort of power do you want to make (and why?)
  7. That will be the shift solenoids, a pretty common fault on the tiptronics. When damaged they go open-circuit under operating temp, then when they cool down they work perfectly fine. Makes diagnosing the fault a pain as it's illusive and sometimes is there sometimes isn't. It gets worse and worse until eventually they'll go open circuit permanently and lock you in 3rd gear until you get the box fixed. I had all my ones replaced under warrenty though so didn't feel the pain of the bill associated with getting them done *ouch* You'll need to get Shift solenoid A + B replaced, an arse of a job to do and delivery times on new solenoids from Japan can be excessive. Just wait until the coil-packs go...another R34 drama! Splitfires will save you that headache as well, pays to get them in even before it crops up.
  8. A funny request but has any mechanic/pest controller got one of these on here, I need to have a sticky-beak in the intake plenum (mainly the runners) on the car without taking it off (too much shit to move for a 5 second peek)
  9. Mercury can do them, they did my bikirom....I just gave them the laptop and software on it and went from there. The ROM data all basically looks the same, just the front end you use to tune is the difference. Your biggest thing to do is find the interface you want to go with...doesn't Matty Spry have something down at PITS?
  10. Yeah there policy is just customers, and normally only one set pe rset you buy (but they will take more if you've got sizes they want, and I know the RB25 fit in that catagory) May be worth buying a set just to sell, using the rebate off all those, quick cash
  11. LOL are you sure they were police?
  12. Is it up on ramps at all? If not you've made it a bitch of a job
  13. Haha yeah they're more thorough that the police with things like that....he wouldn't have cashed the cheque though, that's for certain. If he did there would be no contest that he's full of shit.
  14. www.perfectrun.com.au were quick with my ones I may even suggest Slide, make sure as hell he has them in stock down the GC though or it could be a Nengun + billion year wait
  15. Don't forget to send your ones back for cash-back!......another $90in your pocket
  16. Sounds like he had sellers remorse and wanted more than $18K for it after you drove off....figured he'd say it was stolen. After 2 weeks of not being recovered, the insurance would have paid him out for a fair bit more, then he'll lie his arse of about what happened. You'll cop it, he'll be sitting pretty. No doubt he'd have ditched all proof of the cheque etc etc so you'll have to find the proof you have and hope it doesn't go too far. Was he an SAU member?
  17. Bah-barp, wrong! You can't tell with R34 ones just by using a multimeter, they pretty much fail under operating temp, and the have an isolated firing circuit inside which will not tell you anything by measuring resistance. Almost all R34's have the packs shit themselves, just replace them and avoid the agony and time looking into a problem that is well know and can't be fixed by silicone, tape, araldite or gypsy tears!
  18. There will be transactions for the bank cheque, that will be enough proof. You're nuts for giving him the papers to file, the new owner should take them. Either way you have his details, that should be sweet enough to sort things out. Also a 40" won't fit into a skyline...I've tried On another note apparently my car is still stolen as well, I keep getting pulled up as they haven't removed the flag off my plates from the previous car getting flogged 3 years ago!
  19. Bars to go to- Glass Bar Press Club Lychee Lounge Places for food- Cha Cha Char (city) Blue Smoke (Valley) Lunar Lounge (valley, also a bar) Purple Olive (valley) Onyx (Park Road, Milton) London Club (Tennerife, also a bar) Alchemy (City, hope you wallet is full)
  20. LOL!!!!!
  21. Yeah sorry these are proper discharge bulbs, not filament type....what the R34's use if you haven't had the headlights butchered. I do have HID coloured parkers though.
  22. As above someone asked me about these recently, I've got 1 x 8000K set and 3 x 6000K sets in stock at the moment.
  23. Reach under the dash just past the bonnet release, you'll find a little cipped-in rectangle of plastic, the plug is on the other side of it
  24. Yep, they even have so many cores in stock, they flow test and match a group of 6 so the tolerance between them is very close. I've heard nothing but praise for Deatschwerks, my ones have been running great for a long time now. They highflow the pintle exactly the same way a manufacturer would, using micron accurate drills an CNC.
