  1. NEO have variable cams, the R32 GTR ones won't go in as far as I know.....avoid the NEO altogether, so not worth the hassle
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...et-t209673.html Haggle your nuts off!
  3. use methylated spirits *only* for taking the paint off :S
  4. Yeah exactly why I think it's been misdiagnosed as the ECU...the packs are 1000000 times more likely to fail and brings up all of the other lights as it causes the sub-systems to fail at the same time.
  5. All good,, the turbo is going on Tomorrow I sorted the last details today
  6. Can you PM me the workshop so I may pass judgment
  7. Sure it's just not the coilpacks???? That's the common fault with R34's not the ECU side of the ignition
  8. Yeah my ECU isn't so stock anymore so is no use.....but Marc is correct you can put the manual one in and everything will work A-OK except you'll be stuck in 3rd I don't understand why the GTt isn't like the N/A model and has the auto-shift computer built into the actual car not the ECU :S So who told you about the "common fault" I've never heard of anything go with the R34 ECU's ever, ever, ever....maybe we can diagnose via the internets for you? Try calling Markimak or his brother, they've got the ECU from the stacked R34 that they could lend as far as I know, linky, linky http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wr...34-t176434.html

Just got back from my nose around of the GTR....looks good Shame it only comes out of it's box for a couple of perfomances later in the day However don't mention "grey imports", even though the girls look cute & innocent they've been brainwashed by Colin Buckley and will turn on you in seconds like fembots!!!! Apparently Nissan thinks it's OK to import R34's as they ever wanted them anyway (hahaha) but don't think about the 35 or they'll get you LOL!!!! I asked if they were doing similar things to the UK and offering better spec equipment over the "grey imports" to sway buyers.....errr no they're not, you may even get a lower spec version for more cost...wtf?
  11. No help whatsoever
  12. I thought you'd already checked that? Yeah it gives a banshi scream when they come loose....happened on my last R34
  13. I spent bugger-all doing the conversion, you've got to remember I did this back when GTT''s were damn expensive (my 25GT was $34K back then!!!! ) My GT + t was stolen and written off a long time ago, I've now got a real GTT. Seriously the stupid price I've seen parts going for you'd be looking at under $1500 for the conversion DIY over a weekend
  14. I would have thought the Nylon impeller would have vapourised if it had even looked sideways at the inducer? Definately score marks, not machine marks?
  15. What's wrong with yours....I've got lots of spare parts from an auto cluster...just not a whole one
  16. My slide highflow is still running awesomely as well....my one was one of the first batch so probably had extra love during manufacture Seriously though, when I dropped the dump pipe of recently, it had less play that the original R34 BB turbo...which was also bugger-all R33GOD, you haven't got an issue with the oil gallery that feeds your oil pressure line by any chance...2 turbo's on the same block spells an underlying issue.
  17. My R34 so basically any RB25 turbo water lines are fine

  19. Anyone in Brisbane got them laying around doing nothing, would like to pick up ASAP
  20. If I'm not wrong, that *is* a slide highflow, looks exactly the same as my one on my car, I'll get some pics when I take it off at the weekend...even the markings on the compressor blades and the razor-sharp inducer.
  21. I bet your knock sensors are shot
  22. It's amazing how driving style weighs on consumption though...I had a 02 sensor die and my city driving, being more spirited was netting 280kms for 50L. I changed the 02 sensor saw an immediate improvement to 360kms. Now I drive on the highway pretty much the whole time and that figure has blown out to 440kms. I think that's great for my car considering it's auto and is definately not stock.
  23. I'm putting an HKS *ball bearing* turbo on...I want close to stock response. I never got tuned past 12psi (6800rpm) as I had a boost drop at the topend, was running 15psi midrange though and did go well Yep they're journal bearing water-cooled as well.
