  1. For those that like a good feed and a bit of a challenge, go to Dicey Rileys at Garden City and order the 'Double Chicken Schnitzel Parmigiana' !!! Many a patron laughed at my dinner plate, the waitress promised to come back and witness my failure...she was wrong! I scored a round of applause and a sense of being full the f**k up! So next time you're thinking of something to try, go for it!!!
  2. Yeah a brief short will start the diagnostic mode, shorting again will clear it from memory. And yeah that's the plug, with the cover attached to it, clipped underneath.

  4. Hmm all I know is it will be showing between 0.1 - 0.9v on idle as if shifts from rich to lean. Don't know if ohm will effectively show anything

  9. Wax pellet? The AAC in the R34's is a stepper motor that regulates the air flow, positive feedback hence idle regulation. When my one got stuck open it gave a high idle, it was the piston on the stepper motor literally coked-up with carbon and grime. I completely stripped it down and clean it, bang perfect!!! I think the JUN R34 had the same issue.
  10. I've got the indicators off my R34 for sale, they're the stock orange ones in fairly good condition, the sides are slightly faided but plastic polish brings them up like new. The fronts are in VGC, and will also fit R34 GTR front bars. $60 the lot!
  11. Gee I hope I realise that, considering I'm an industrial chemist. 5% water behaves differently in solvent systems and won't do jack if run through quick enough. You'd be opposed to water-methanol injection as well??? Also there is no way in hell you'd be diluting 100% ethanol, it costs way too much to produce, just to dilute back to 95%. 95-96% is when ethanol forms an azeotrope anyway which is why it is so cheap to produce. Taking ethanol from 95% to 100% is where it gets bloody expensive. Methylated spirits doesnt contain methanol anymore, they're ~95% ethanol, 0.25 Methyl Isobutyl Ketone (make you sick) and some Bitrex to make it taste bad.

  14. You could run a diagnostic to be sure, a likely cause is a faulty shift solenoid which ill progressively get worse and finally lock the car in 3rd gear

  17. If you can't fix it via the FC, just put this circuit in, it will make the light work in reverse You just need any 12V relay nothing heavy duty, just a low mA rated one. connect up as shown. PS you love my PS skillz and lack of pink bits

  20. Interesting, it must be something the ultimate doesn't like. I wonder what the difference to the blue is??? I know for the 350Z you require the rpm signal adapter, maybe it was a late model using a different CAS?
  21. May have to bite the bullet and put it in the side of the dump...don't fancy drilling the turbo :S

  23. RPM should work, my one did on the e-manage blue, I can't see them changing it for the ultimate?? No, there is a lot to the R34 ECU's which cause the engine light, I know them backwards unfortunately/fortunately
