1997 - 1998 R33 gtrs are still around the 1.8 - 2.2million yen to buy. Just under $35k would get you something good. I just bought one for a friend and its about 2 million yen inclusive of all the auction fees...etc. Works out to about $33k++.

NOR - Hyperdrive SOR - C-red RAC usually check for basic road worthiness. If seeking a bit more detailed inspection, go for the ones mentioned. Compression test are usually extra and that depends on the car. For example, 180SX/S13-15 are pretty easy but RB series takes some time, especially the R34.

I reckon theres enough flaming on both parties. As a Trader/Installer/Dealer, my advice: Klown: Good luck in selling your car and just get a check before you buy your next car. If you need any help in the future, give me a call at Jshop 9 358 4969 or 0422 993 143. By any chance as well if you need help installing the RB20 motor cheaper than quoted, just call. Johan: Its not your fault either but dont take your mechanic's word for granted the next time, unless its in writing. That way, both parties can pursue the matter legally. Cheers everyone.

What car is it? Install price is from $35-$50. $50 is usually for cars like Hondas & mitsubishis, otherwise i'd consider it as a straight install, $35. Call 9358 4969 (Jshop) or 0422 993 143 (Raheem)

Standard air box, rims, exhaust, steering wheel. Basically, the car has to be put back to a standard when it was first released from Nissan. Also, be careful of accident cars or any damages to the under body, chassis rail and even body dents.

In my opinion, been driving for 15yrs now and having my first import almost 10 yrs ago, i find that its the combination of sports car + age that decisions are made by individual cases. When RAC insured my Silvia almost 10 yrs ago, no modification at ALL was permitted. I was 22 then and imports were rare as hell. At every renewing year, i was slowly permitted to mod my car. Now, i am with West Frmers and they have insured all my previous Gtrs with unlimited modification provided that i explained in detail what every modification was done and its function. So, in your case, call them up and ask to explain why installing an SAFC would warrant a cancellation and explain to them the function of the SAFC. In certain cases, you may be required to have an explaination written by an approved workshop. However, as i have never had any policy with SGIO, they might have a clause or different policy. Very important: Read your policy again.

I dont know about the Laserline but with Autowatch & Cyclops, i can hook up the timer to the alarm system so that it can armed the car right away while the timer is running. Remote start is also possible for these alarms. Cheers

Compliance almost done. No takers??

Been in and out of Japan since 2000. I'm in Kanagawa, oppsosite the Tsurumi train station. Will be back again sometime in May. Anyone around that area? Cheers
-
No interest guys...

Always went to Welshpool coz my workshop is just around the corner. I have had good results at O'connor and East Perth as well. Just remember, its not about who's slack and who's not. Its the inspectors job to make sure that the car is roadworthy and extra stuff like clutch, diffs and even coilovers are decided by individual inspectors whether they want it there or not. Cheers

I know a lot of people has failed using these LSDs. However, i have brought heaps of cars with 2 ways and they sometimes clucnk like shit and pass them. My advise, before the inpsectors take it for a drive, tell them before-hand that the car is fitted with a mechanical diff and it will clunk or even if fitted with an aggressive twin plate clutch, just tell them first before they stall the car several times. It has work so far but dont quote on me. Cheers

Its actually ok as long as its done neat (eg. using a hole saw and not a jigsaw). The guys at the Pits are not strict into fmic but if it hangs down too low past the bumper, then theres a possibility you can get done for. Cheers

Mayhem fr Maytech or KYP imports.
