Pre-paid mobiles are cheap like the Tuka brands (mainly bought fr 7-11s) but i think they are trying to persuade not to buy anymore pre-paids. As a tourist, you wouldnt be able to buy a mobile phone anyway. If youre on 3 or Vodaphone, you will get roaming facility now, just started this year coz i was surprised that my phone for the first time in 5 years actually received signal, although not everywhere. In regards to the timer, what sort of alarm system do you have? Its probably a program some called "anti-hijack". Find out what system first and take it to your nearest security installer and un-program it. Cheers

I'd say shop around as most of these guys dont actually go to Japan and rely mostly on the same Japanese agents. Most of these agents buy under a Grading system which is still not 100% fool-proof. Either way, you have Phil, Danny Fishcer, Pau;l and recently Jap Parts for the R33 plates.

Inspection Fee is actually $53.70 not $135 as the car is going through an Engineers endorsement, otherwise, it will be a full fee.

It all depends on what you wanna spent or can spent. When my Gtr's bottom end went, i could just change the crankshaft and be done with it but instead i opted for pistons/rebore/metal gaskets...etc I agree though that if you wanna put pistons, might as well put Tomei/HKS rather than the Arias. But if you are not gonna be pushin your car hard, then i reckon the Arias will do. As a Trader, i reckon you should shop around and keep asking places like C-red / Hyperdrive..etc.

Hicas lock kit can be bought from $150. Try Xspeed, they did my GTR for about $250 installed. How much do you wanna spend on a set of coilies coz i'm leaving for Japan again next month. Cheers

If you want your car to go through container, its best to share 4-5 cars in a 40 feet container, that way, you only pay an extra of $200 plus per car but remember, containers leave Japan every week. It is definitely not $1500 - $2000 more, UNLESS you plan to put your car only in a 10 foot container all by itself.

The worst thing that could happen: 1) Not much job for me (me a broker as well) 2) Compliance will double or more (from 1k+ to 2k+) 3) RAWS workshop will probably charge anywhere from $500 - $1000 as their broker fee 4) '88 cars like Ceffys, Laurels, Silvia Ks, R31 can still come in without RAWS Its shit but well, theres nothing we can do about it except to adapt to the changes. When the old SEVS rule ended, i still had 18 S13 plates, 20 R33 plates and 25 S15 plates. Threw it all away, twas a sad sad day.
