The [fr34k] Is Back
Artic Choc replied to sleptema's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
thats sick man glad your happy with it now... just gotta mention i run advan ad08r on the road and i LOVE them so im sure the 050 would be even better keep up the progress mate its coming along very nicely.. PS.. do we get a pic of this "less agressive front lip" by any chance? -
Wont be upgrading injectors im happy with it for now... i have other plans for the car atm. Why not go a gtx35r and faceroll 400kw?
-
i have tomei type b cams in mine, as well as an older SS2 ex gate currently making 324kw on 16 psi and e70. with bigger injectors (maxed 725cc atm) and more boost mine would see 350kw+ easy on e85 just an indication of what you could do

youl have to be a bit more specific mate, if youv got a 17" wheel... to get an offset for you.. wel need to know what width wheel also.. and tyre size will also come into factor for clearance.. if the standard wheel is 17x7.5 and around +40 then youl want to bring the offset down to around +20 for that wheel to get a decent flush fitment.. just adjust for your width and tyres

Researched And Now Turbo Choices And Questions
Artic Choc replied to yoshiii335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
sell rb20, buy rb25 slap a hypergear turbo on and win but from your given choice.. best bet would be the hi flowed u21 from hypergear.. gives the best response and decent power on the 25, theoretticly would suit your 20 better? so that would be my pick plus you can sell it once your done with it since everyone is always after hi flows for the basic upgrade -
Rb25det Best Performance
Artic Choc replied to cefiro_ghost's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i would have gone for larger injectors as per mentioned previously.. i thought id be set with mine..but as per everyone else i wanted more once i had access to that sweet sweet e85. i run an older ss2 turbo from tao (hypergear) and it makes your power goals very easy and its excellent on the road... it comes down to the right parts not the most amount of parts. rb25dets are well known for making your goal with some decent bolt ons.. ditch the plenum for now.. money better spent else where.. the standard will be more then capable. get what ever oil cooler you can fit where you plan to fit it.. i run a 4 row atm sits snug between the rad and fmic. also get some good tyres... theres no point in having 400 horses if you cant put the power down (you want a fast car yeah?) choose your turbo carfuly.. (if you havnt already got the 6266) you can make your goal on a large turbo but it wont be fun on the road because itl be lag city and youl be well over the speed limit when you hit boost and also again youl need very good tyres for the sudden kick in power... get a turbo that will make your goal with a little bit of head room.. ideally.. the better response and toque makes a better street car.. power isnt everything. also dont forget the clutch.. if your runnning the standard or equivalent replacement... youl shit your clutch out in a heart beat when you reach you goal.. better to do it before you get up an going.. so you can bed it in before it has to handle your power lastly check the rb25det power results thread. its got almost everything anyone who ever whats to build a 25 could ever need inregards to builds.. specs..boost pressures etc etc. -
Havoc fab! Hands down..can weld you up anything you can dream up

Ha.. unfortunately nothing really happened bro. Yeah the ol skyline gets around abit. Yeah its now parking at a different aldi now (ive moved store) i wont mention which one though haha. If you see it come say hi. Ive no doubt ive seen yours around, many 4 door r34. Hit us up if you want to catch up
-
300-350kw on the 30 wouldnt even break a sweat haha. yeah good idea man.. for those goals you wouldnt need a built bottom end but hey.. i like your thinking save money where you can in terms of price for performance.. im just going to shell out and get the parts im after.. ive got slightly higher goals but also run something different to your normal big turbo setup
-
yeah ive seen many cases where engine protection has stopped or at lest reduced damage to engines.. if your paying top dollar for an ecu youve probably got alot of cash sunk into your engine too.. it wouldn't be used if it didn't work. theoretically also my nistune has been flawless..even with the flex tune..definitely recommend

Noob Advice For Actuator (r34 Gtt)
Artic Choc replied to MikeR34GTT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
do what you want with your car bro... but keep in mind alot of people posting are posting from experience and personally id reccomend doing your basic bolt ons and get the extra power from them and then swap to a highflow unit or a whole new unit... ive never been to keen on more then 10 psi through the stock turbo but then again people do it with no troubles...if your located in vic near melbourne.. i have a 2nd hand cooling pro front mount im happy to part with for extra cheap. it done me fine up till 270kw.. +1 to nistune recommendations -
nice... i was looking at doing the same sort of spec list minus the main bearings... i figured a 9:1 CR would have been fine (doesnt the std neo run a 9:1?) and they run fine on 98..mind you il be on flex with e85 somewhere in the mix so im not too worried either.. keep us up dated with how you go.. i may need to call appon info from you later in the engine build
-
are you going with the normal 25 head or neo head, im assuming neo head coz keeping vct?.. what pistons and headgasket are you planing to run? only ask coz im doing the same thing with a neo head and just keen to see others thoughts on specs... those brakes though!
