Keen for new ss2 results.. i love my unit but if theres improvement to be had im definitely in!

Ok so i got my car back from tune a while ago and the car ran perfect except for bad ignition. So last week i replaced the coilpacks with brandnew splitfires and fixed the problem but after ringing 2nd gear to redline to see if it had truly been fixed which it had a new problem arose. When i turn th car on from cold itl rev up to 1.4krpm then rise to 2k where it will sit, until just under optimal running temp where it will drop too just over 1k.. once it hits running temp the car will endlessly bounce between 1.2k and 2krmp.. sometimes itl hold 2krpm for a couple seconds but continue to bounce.. it also "Rev matches" when traveling through neutral to change gear in anyway.. its very hisitant with throttle too in the low rpm range of 1-2-3 i feels like it just cuts out when letting off the pedal but jerks back on when back on throttle theres no smooth way round it.. Now things ive tried: Smoked out the vacuume lines to try for leaks. Cleaned and resealed IAC valve(new gasket and goo New coils and sparks. New fuel fillter and flushed fuel tank and tried new fuel/mix Cleaned Afm which apears to be in good working order. Checked ecutalk for error codes and reads code 55 no errors O2 sensor is reading within the voltage of being in working order.. TPS is reading correct voltage. Im litterally stumped for any other problems. Mod list is in sig for refrence Any info or help would be a godsend as its making me pull my hair out as its bloody anoying and id not like to ruin the engine.. Ive searched everywhere and the answers ive got ive tried to see if itl fix the problem. Last option is i take it back to the tuner and see if they have any ideas Thanks Ps. i can get a vid if youd like il just have to put the car back together first..

I knew someone who made 310kw on 19-20 psi on e85 with the u21 highflow.. tbh it didn't feel very quick but the dyno sheet it had a very v8 looking power curve made full boost at like 3700 or something.. blitz front mount, xspurt 1000cc, pfc and hks exshaust
-
I had a cooling pro front mount kit previously on my car and it pretty much dropped out after 265kw at 18 psi... in my experience not worth looking at.. your better off spending a bit more money to get some quailty gear..im running a entry level plazmaman and its been outstanding so far. Best of luck
-
Im running a plazmaman entry level front mount with custom pipes that join to the standard return flow setup.. it made 324kw with 16psi at 4krpm with very little drop in psi and faulty coils and maxed out injectors on e70.. where is my previous setup made 265kw on 18psi at 4.1krpm dropping 3-4psi with a cooling pro bolt on kit which was causing restrictions past 265kw on 98
-
Lol blaa.. god knows how i missed that -.- thats still a great result mine made about there on 98
-
Yeah havoc did the work and yeah thats the setup he done for me.. they do amazing work

Its been welded onto the standard manifold. If it makes 400 on 20 then il be over the moon but we shall see i havnt got plans to take it back for retune anytime soon unfortunately. Lifes got in the way as it does haha will update when i do though
-
shit quality phone sorry, got some splitfires on their way to fix my dodgy idle problem >.< sounds like a bloody wrx
-
Yeah il find the sheet tomorrow and get it up for yous. Oh im over the moon with the result i think having the external gate helps alot

Excellent progress mate youve done so well since the beginning of this thread Been following you more on your fb page.. Dare i say thats hypergears atr45sat? -
My car made 324kw with injectors maxed out had faulty coilpacks running 16psi with an ss2 on a mixture of e70.. yet to retune on full e85 with larger injectors and coils
-
My ss2 on an unopened 186k/km neo made 265kw at 18 psi with boost leaks and top end restrictions using basic boltons

Hey mate. A 9.5 +26 will have a tiny bit of poke from the guards you may want to run a smaller tyre for clearance issues but you could probably get away with a 245.. my old 18x9.5 +22 had guard rub when going up inclines and full lock that was with lowered coilovers and a 235 tyre.. also worth mentioning make sure you wheels will clear your suspension arms on the front.. mine had a tiny gap between wheel and arm Cheers good luck Ps i had unmodified guards.. i would recommend rolling them if your car is lowered with that size wheel and offset
-
18x8" +20 on a 235 tyre 18x9" +30 on a 245 tyre all around is what i run on the front and thats flush to guard no rub no scrub no issues (my car sits slightly higher then most due to my driveway).. so you should have little trouble going that all around (check my photos on previous page)
-
what size/width wheel are you wanting to run?
-
tough as f**k man. good choice on bronze ... (ps: your headlights need a polish would recomend turtlewax headlight cleaner and a chuckwipe cloth and elbows)
-
More clear photos for you mate, yeah i noticed a huge improvment when i swapped..any photos of your new wheels?
-
Yeah youl find they sit perfectly with the guards. Good choice..i went for a 10" so i can run some bigger rubber... theyr work xd9... they discontinued them though
