  1. nice progress man, good on you for going suspension then engine! i love the fab work man you have done well there, also glad to see that hideous front bar gone man.. some people have some unusual tastes but each to their own. last thing i noticed your return fmic pipe hangs a bit low.. have you though of maybe making a lower scuff plate to stop it scraping/catching? i have a lower gtr style front lip that goes on the S1 front bumper that will hide it nicely "hint hint" hahaha nice job mate, ima keep an eye on your work! cheers
  2. im running 18x9.5 + 22 235/40 on the fronts lowered with coilovers and it clears everything fine even on full lock, except for going up inclines(ramps and driveways) with the wheels turned then itl scuff the guard lip (mind you the car could be raised a good 10-15 odd mm to fix that because it has dropped below limit or i could just roll my guards) it pokes a little bit and given the stretch on the tyre its really a preference on the "stanced" look it gives (it was the biggest tyre i could run under there) i never choose the "thug life" i wouldnt run anything higher then +22 on a 9.5 wheel on the front to be safe maybe a +24mm at most but that would be pushing it id stick with a 8.5" wheel on the front and run with the lowest offset so a +30 or some thing that should give a somewhat neat flush to lip look (maybe spacers if your into them)
  3. thanks guys! i got the kit from www.jsai.com.au very happy with the quality and price from them, only tiny modifications needed to fit

  10. ^ it was a great turn out, saw your car its beautiful man I wanted to go into the pits to check it out but we left early. Looked like you had traction issuses at your first run (like everyone else)
  11. looks mint as man keep it up! will be watching to see where you go with it.
  12. ive been waiting to see if SAU would be attending this again this year. would also like to know if anyone from here is entering
  13. Hey buddy. Glad to hear you got your plenum problem fixed (for good *touch wood*) sorry mate no idea with the idle issue. . Maybe afm?? As for power goal im running the same hypergear turbo (not coated) at 18 psi with a boost leak and im seeing 265rwkw boost hits roughly at 4100. I have a top end restriction due to standard dump and most likely the leak or exhaust. I reckon with your current set up plus the hypergear youd probs see closer to 300kw with boost slightly earlier. just to give a rough idea. Would make a deadly daily or even a possible 11second pass with a good set of tyres? I reckon it would be a shame to see all this hard work youv done go to waste to see it only see action at the track on occasion(if you take her off the road)
  14. **Airbox/snorkel/pod/intake sold pending payment**
  15. theres alot of skylines getting round geelong lately though... seen a crazy firey orange 33 had a gtr wing was from a distance... but yeah saw a grey r34 4 door with gtr front conversion the other day... looked sick as ive seen said mentioned silver 4 door around a tiny bit
  16. *turbo sold* price drop on clutch $300
  17. damn man they are beautiful! +1 for what size tyre
  18. hahahaha ^^ nice! yeah i am aware that is why, but hey theyr way to laggy for a 25 so no chance il be getting one anytime soon
  19. also keen to see how an ss2 made to sound like a t51r coming onto boost goes.. could consider getting it done to mine i could deal with the extra lag... man that things just pure ear porn!
  20. not a bad base to start with but like mentioned - do a good service on it, get some good fluids into it and flush it clean - get it tuned nistune is amazing bang for buck for the gtt (they can give you an idea how the engine is running too) - better wheels lots of info about sizing and profiles for the gtt here :http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/390656-r34-gtt-wheel-offset-advice/ - maybe look at getting some upgraded sway bars? thatl help for on the track - hypergear turbo is probs the best bet for a decent price turbo upgrade plus as mentioned it can be bolted right in with very very minimal modifications and will appear stock to untrained eyes - drive the car. take it to a safe and legal place to get accustomed to how a turbo car drives and more importantly more experience behind the wheel of one. get used to the power and slowly work you way at making more. ive seen many people go from one extreme (N/A) to 4-500hp cars and completely wreck the car not a good idea - take a look under the car. see if any bushings, torn boots, lose parts are under there.. and replace anything need be - maybe look at getting a better clutch (unless it has one) to handle a power upgrade just a quick two cents enjoy it mate be safe on the roads!
