  1. Turns out it was the FPR, it was just stuck. Gave it a few whacks, that seemed to do the job
  2. Weird that'd it would just crap out all of a sudden. I've got a pressure gauge coming in the post but I may not bother waiting as I can get a replacement FPR reasonably cheap anyway.
  3. My L28 which is running an L24 ECU, L28 AFM and Green injectors (I'm assuming they are L28 items...) is giving me grief. I originally had some problems where the car had some manifold leaks, and it would sound lke a tractor and really not make much power. It did though idle nicely and rev smoothly. I took the manifolds of and fixed the leaks. Put it all back together, went to start it back up and it was idling ROUGH, like barely going. Wouldn't even rev. Pulled the plugs and they were soaked in petrol. Woudn't even start now unless I cleaned the plugs first, and even then it would only run for a half a minute before dying again and soaking the spark plugs. I checked and made sure that the injectors were actually firing (not just stuck on), and checked the cold start valve.Tested the AFM and the TPS (and they appeared to give back the correct resistance readings).Even tried my spare L24 ECU. Only thing I haven't tested yet is the water temp sensor, and thermotime switch. Although I'm not sure if its even possible they could be causing this over fuelling problem. I'm also going to check the fuel pressure to make sure the presure regulator is working. Is there likely to be an issue with using the L28 AFM with the L24 ECU? Could any vacuum leaks have been covering this up before? Cheers Ray
  4. Thanks for that, but unfortunately I couldn't seem to find the ECU wiring info in there. Anyone else got it lurking around on their computer ? Cheers
  5. Hmm, does anyone know where I can find a copy of this these days? The above URL doesn't work anymore... Thanks
  6. Unfortunately Im probably not local enough, Im up in Brissy.
  7. Ben, do you have a copy of the fuel system specifics at all ? Ray
  8. LOL, Kirby, It sounds like you have emailed me from the future and you had purchased MY 260z :-) (ECU sitting on passenger floow, all different colored wiring, electrical tape etc etc...). It makes sense that the L24 electrics would be easier to retrofit.
  9. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/ You should try some things of interest there. I have the same setup in my zed. I am currently trying to get it to run, having no end of troubles. Have you ever had a chance to compare how the R30 setup goes compared to the 280zx setup ?
  10. I have an R30 wiring system in my car. Not sure if it is L24 or L20 (although Im thinking its L20 as the L24 wiring diagram I have has different colours) Does anyone know what (brown) pin #10 is ? Also, for the ignition trigger to the ECU, does it come from the - coil and straight to the ECU, or through a ballast resistor ? Cheers EDIT: An L20 wiring diagram would be much appreciated if anyone has one
  11. The ones in the engine bay are no worries thus far. After checking over the diagram some of the ones inside were pretty important. i.e fuel pump relays, EFI relays etc. I think I have most of it sussed out. Am still not 100% sure what ECU/loom I have. It seems to be almost the same as the R30 from looking at the R30 wiring diagrams, but there are differences which make me wonder.
  12. Interesting...there are actually a few different evolutions in the L28 items (especially the US as they had them over a 8 odd year period) so afaik you cant just go switching and swapping ECUs. EDIT: Yes the ECU connectors look the same, Im more interested in the wires coming from the loom before the firewall. I havent found an L28 loom that looks just like that as of yet.
  13. Just did some searching and came across some schematics for the L24E... Does it seem like I am looking at an L24E loom though ?
  14. Just wondering if someone can help me out. I bought an L28E which someone had transplanted into an R30 skyline. Im currently fitting the engine to my 260z and am currently trying to wire the thing up. Thing is, from everything I've seen, the loom doesnt appear to be a std L28E item (from what I have seen of others anyway). Maybe its the L24E item? here is a pic of some of the wiring http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachm...tachmentid=7153 I do have more pics if this one does not suffice. Does anyone have any L24E wiring schematics/ECU pinouts? Cheers Ray
  15. hey Guys, I'm chasing a pinout for an NA RB30 ECU...does anyone have on at all? Cheers
  16. Thanks Glenn, I feel though that 40mm would be just a bit too much for my Datsun, even with my current spacers on it.
  17. G'day, do you still have the rims for sale? Do you know what offset they are? Cheers Ray
  18. Sale fell through. Still for sale !!
  19. Not quite sure. It does come with the rail though, so that would be a start in getting it fitted.
  20. No, I want $350 for the lot. Not sure what postage would be. Not sure of the impedence either. Standard GTR injector impedence I guess. EDIT: If you dont want the rail its still going to be $350 for the injectors. Im merely throwing the rail in to help it sell. If you dont want the rail, I will keep it. No, it doesnt have plugs.
  21. Nah, Id want $350 for the injectors alone. Just throwing the fuel rail in to help em sell
  22. GTR injectors and rail, Injectors have been cleaned and are in VERY good nick. $350, its a bargain. Im in Brisbane

Mate, I might be interested if it was a manual.
