you could possibly get the SR20DE out of the pulsar and thwack it in... the KA24DE did come out in u13 bluebirds, and is quite a popular donk, and has been transplanted into a few U12 Pintaras + Turbo'd CA18DE/T is another option - (from the EXA) Rb20 = NO. I presume in saying KA24 you've got a U12 head over to www.antrx.com and see what they've got going on.

V10 vs V6 hrmm

Yeah 31, c'mon surely you've heard of Fatz, Easo, and the stuff that the Drift Battle Lads got up to with the wags a while ago Youtube 'DriftMajik', for a long time there he was just running a locked diff, stock RB30e and some stiff springs... really cutting sick and ripping it up the bigger toys.

Drive Bathrust is crap if you wanna go have a look - we took a drive for a gander last year when it was on. The whole mountain is shut down and you can only get in if you're a paticipant, official or live up there. Its not advertised as a "non spectator" event, nor is it advertised otherwise... Great if you've got a spare $4000 to enter and the cash behind you to drive the track in a suitable car for a weekend... (along with the manditory Cams LS2 licence and 6+ sprint events under your belt)

Looking from the photos and what others have said, I would have to agree with the above statement... I'm glad you and the other driver were not harmed Scottie pity the same cant be said for your Skyline.

I'm sorry, but that looks like a POS from the waistline down... Square plug round hole, it dont fit and looks like shit. on the topic of 20det's in things like VL's and 31's a 25 is a top upgrade from the 30e, a 30et is fun, and with the amount of "bolt on" options its a quick and easy option these days. I've had a 20 in a 31, and they're fun even in stock form... I think like the others have said, if you have a 20, and want to spend some money, there is plenty out there to get your VL up there, but if its a longer term project, then perhaps a 25 is the answer. Urrm, 30's are in skylines... just early ones the 30e was never introduced in Japan, or as turbo in any 'factory' nissans... its a bloody good donk, just like any of the RB family.

So who saw the Gun metal 35 GT-R on the M4 today... "blueline" from the R31 forums snapped this up:

177kw is as much as I've seen from any nissan DE and that was a big build 30DE... in an R31, it is due for another update tho, so we'll have to keep an eye on it. I also know an RB30e thats hit 155kw but they've had stupid, stupid amounts of work done to them, and like the others have said 'sif these guys are going to reveal the depths of their secrets to a random. if you want big N/A power find a VH41 and plonk it in.

Fixed the numberplate Great car & top shots evade

no shit sherlock - I realise nissan themselves dont make the filters or the oil, just the same way coles doenst make the coles branded flour. If you want me to clarify it for those with an obvious chip on the shoulder, "I advise using nissan branded filters"... happy? as for the 5W quip, the "recomended" oil for a 30e is 20w50, the ratings simply describe how thick or thin an oil is at a certain temperature. I dont disagree, a lower rated oil will flow better at colder temps. But as it is widely known this is a forum, and me stating that a 5w oil is too thin, was only an opinion. Obviously one that you took some form of daft offence to. FFS the "not a real skyline" shot again eh? yeah so the government said this and the EPA said that, so effing what? Its a Skyline, it was made in Australia, now stop being a racist little prick and realise they're just cars. Yeah, the BW solid rear end is generally a piece of shit... its something R31 drivers openly joke about, along with the leaking power steering lines... Who'd want squat anyway? its a literal pain in the ass, 20yo IRS is over-rated, put in a 33 cradle if you want to eliminate issues... and yes, its been done to an aussie 31. I know the SVD series were developed by Gibson , just like HSV or FPV... Bilstien shocks, a bit of a cam some SAAS seats and a bit of colour coding and ppl are happy, obviously some people have some mental glitch that says OMG its not JDM spec / import lets burn it. Just out of interest, what are your opinions about the import/JDM 31's?
-
17x8 +37 is a little ghey for the 31, strut rubbage issues, especially on the front. I've got 17x7.5/ 8.5 +28 and its as close as I'd want to go. I like em tho

No denying the old things are Boats... or that it takes a particular individual to appricate them, but for crying out loud, at least respect what other people choose to drive. You can drop anything into them with minimal fuss, suspention, brake, engine and gearbox upgrades are piss easy for the right-minded person... I could say that I think the R30 is a piece of crap, you'd ark up. I know a few bog stock (including my 1st) RB30's that are running upwards of 500,000ks and they're still going strong... so what, most engines if treated properly will last. its all just a matter of opinion and personal preference, Myself and plenty of others appricate the R31, you lot on the other hand like you're 30's... I'd dare say there are more people out there who appricate the 31 than those who do the 30. But really, who gives a ratz, we'll all end up dead and buried having spent a shit-load on cars.
-
Offsets and widths? plenty of 31 lads would like 'em if they were in the 17x7/8/9 +15 to +30 range
-
no, I know nothing about R31's you caught me out... fkn dumbass. Its just a car mate, they're all just cars, pieces of tin and plastic, I enjoy mine, and many others... whoopty f**kn do, now jump down off your high horse.
