  1. Just thought i'd add some info to this for future reference and people searching. I still have not fixed the limiter issue, i broke the gearbox so thats getting fixed now haha. But i plumbed the sensor in as i posted, and fuel economy is WAY better, drove 120km return to and from the track (home with a g/box stuck in 3rd) and around 30-40 laps of the track and only used 1/2 a tank, i used to get 230klm's to a tank before i hooked the sensor up. So it does not affect af/r under power, mainly under cruise. Massive difference.
  2. What are you asking? Im a little confused?
  3. Well never got the limiter issue sorted before the track day, so did a mix of sprints and drifting, was hard drifting trying to keep one eye on the tacho and one on the road, also hard trying to keep it off the damn limiter! Had fun none the less till i broke the gearbox, stuck in 3rd more money. I'll rip it out this weekend and drop it off to a mate to check it out, hopefully its just a selector or something. I am also very rusty haha!! Pic is off the drive home, stuck in 3rd, not fun!!
  4. Its pretty laggy, but that also seems to be from the antisurge housing, its comes on hard and the power delivery is brutal, i love it. Makes it challenging drifting the tighter stuff though. 8cm seems a lot more punchy. 98oct, 500rwhp is acievable on stock internals on E85, and it will last to with a good tune and maintenance schedule.
  5. Thats interesting, mine makes the same power @ 17psi, i havnt tuned it further yet. Im running a Kando anti surge T67-25 10cm, Hybrid manifold, stock CAMS etc with a Nistune. When do you get full boost?
  6. Yeah you can see it just bakes em hard but goes no where. Sounds awesome doing it but.
  7. Spoke to Andy he suggested disconnecting the TPS, did this and still does it, hard for him to diagnose over the phone so its going to have to go up to him
  8. Only when i first got it tuned, he wasn't to sure on why it was doing it. Told me to speak to Nistune, who told me to do the boost sensor. I'll give him a call shortly, there is one tuner down this way, going to see if he happens to have Nistune software.
  9. All running again with the boost sensor hooked up. It certainly runs better at idle and cold start, no more black soot pouring out the exhaust. I haven't driven it yet, but even free revving to the limiter it dies so im thinking its not associated with any boost cuts etc? May be an actual issue with the limiter setting in the ECU? Maybe the hard limiter is set before the soft for some strange reason?
  10. Yeah i'll chuck the other TB i have on, will get it running again this week and see how it goes.
  11. Id be thinking coil packs to, our's went through them when we first got, lucky to get 300k's a tank, put in spitfires got 450-500. Is the Adaptronic ECU a plug and play using a AFM? I thought they where map sensor based? I dont see how the coil packs being out of order could cause problems? if they where plugged in wrong as in the firing order your lucky it even ran! I would definitly use copper plugs to, a complete pain in the ass to change on a NEO, but IMO better, as as soon as u foul some platinum's or irridiums their junk.
  12. Havnt done a great deal to this lately. Got some proper Bride rails to replace the dodgy one's we made, have re-done the catch can, as in put one in instead of just a bare filter, replaced some blue silicone hoses with black to match the rest and mounted up a fire extinguisher as having its first track day the 27th of this month. Still havnt fixed the limmiter issue, looks like a trip to the tuners before the track day to try and sort it
  13. It was tuned at Hyperdrive, i have no idea what he did with the cuts, we really ran outta time. How would a vac leak affect this? It does have a tiny one through the throttle shaft, the bush is stuffed, have spare one, just havnt changed it yet.
  14. So not what i wanted to hear Mine has no traction control as its using the stagea image to remove it so i can run a R33 TB. Might just drop the boost a bit and hope it goes away just so i can do a track day on the 27th!
  15. Sorry the OP is not very clear! I was way rooted this morning. It was not hooked up, and when it was not i was having the limiter issue with the engine dying. I have now hooked it up, but have not driven it yet as i was just wanting to check to make sure it was not going to affect the AF/R and kill the motor. I am hoping hooking it up was going to fix the limiter issue as i was thinking the ECU is getting all confused. If it does not fix it then its another trip to Perth
  16. Possibly left out some important info, sorry posted this at the end of a night shift! Its running a Stagea image in the R34 ECU with a Nistune board and Z32 AFM, not sure if this changes anything? Its not connected now, so how could it be instigating a cut when hitting 12psi if its only see's atmosphere? If it was connected i could see it happening as im running 17psi.
  17. Does anyone know of the R34 Gtt boost sensor (the one on the firewall) affects AF/R's? and secondly the rev limmiter? Had my Skyline tuned last year and had some problems, ended up having to unplug (the hose not the wiring) the boost sensor as i had plumbed it up after the throttle body, this was causing issues, I didnt know at the time, It resolved most of the problems and off we went. I have now hooked it up before the throttle body, will this affect my AF/R's at all? From having it tuned without it? to now the same tune and it hooked up? And secondly when my car hits the rev limiter it dies, for approx 5 seconds, no power at all. Im hoping this is associated with the boost sensor as in the workshop manual i have it says this controls the fuel cut? Im in now way complaining about the tune, its awesome, we simply ran out of time on the day as i went in with a car not running, and due to where he is located externally gated car's are not allowed on the the dyno till late afternoon, coupled to my 3 hr drive home we couldnt finish all the fault fixing. I'd rather not tow the car all the way up there to find out its fine. Thanks!
  18. Aaaah k dont stress than mate, thanks though!
  19. Should be under the rail. There will be a sticker with bride, then the part number. Cheers!
  20. Hey mate, do you know if the rails are "RO" type? Sorry OT but i have the same seats but need some rails.
  21. Still havnt got any vids, never seem to have days off the same time as my mates, or if we do were off 4wding. Finally got around to recoating the pillars with some more CF wrap so their not white and shitty, looks so much better.
