Hey, I am currently planning a new project of putting an rb25det into a nissan patrol. Now I know that people have done this with the rb25det out of the skylines, but I was wondering if I could also use a stagea as a donor car. My main concern with doing this is the electrical sides of things. I will be using the standard patrol manual gearbox that bolts up to rb series blocks. Because most stagea's are auto's and awd's does this mean the ecu will be affected by using a manual box and not hooking up the auto related wiring and all wiring related to awd. I hope I have posted this in the correct place. I have many specific questions about the swap. Mechanically I have everything sorted. Electrically, I am quite good with electronics but I have never really taken on a project to this extent, this is the area that I am a little unsure with, if anyone could help or suggest anything please do. Hey, I am planning a project to put an rb25det into a patrol. I was thinking of going down the road of buying a complete half cut and use the computer and everything in the patrol. I know this can be done with R33's and all (RB25det's), but I was wondering whether a stagea half cut would also be ok to use. Firstly I would be just using an RB30 manual gearbox. But would the ecu still work fine as most stagea's use AWD. And is there any other problems that anyone could possibly see with the swap, or suggestions. Thanks
