  3. Wait till you get more mods, such as a bigger turbo. Your just wasting your money at the moment!
  4. Not a bad idea but not prepared to cut any holes in the chassis! Been trying to avoid that lol I may have to find another way to get air into the box without cutting a hole in the chassis, I have a write up on a mod you can do somewhere behind the headlight to allow more into the engine bay? I've got it at home, but I will see if I can find it now. Its quiet a good mod, and pretty easy to do! Yeah I think that what I'm talking about, you can remove like a panel or section yeah?
  5. Thanks for that Peter. Yeah when you look closely, you can see the little things you pointed out. Its all very neat and subtle! Your running a MAP hence the AFM plug? I run a return flow cooler setup so I can't do the CAI from the stock cooler piping holes, is there any other good possible way of doing it? I was thinking from the little gap behind the headlight, sort of were the stock snorkel goes, could I make a CAI from there into the front bar? I got a GTR bar like yours so gets plenty of airflow through it, and plenty of room to hide a duct behind it now that the stock cooler is out! Does anyone have any recommendations?

  7. Piston rings are gone. I am fairly certain it works like this; If you drop oil into the bore and retest, if compression rises it means the rings are gone (oil increases compression slightly, making more of a seal) If compression doesn't rise and stays the same, even when dropping oil into the bore there is a problem with the head (dropped valve etc) as air is leaking out the head. My cousin had the same problem few months ago, same sort of compression test results. Resulted in a cracked piston ring in cylinder 5. Blue smoke means your blowing/burning oil which also means your ring/s are gone.
  8. I heard the prices were going up. $25 for a spectator is a fkn joke and $65 to race is way too expensive! No wonder people street race, with prices like that who can afford to compete every week.
  9. yeah.. so no filter = less restriction which in your theory, less restriction = more power? so if no filter is less restriction, why didn't you gain any power with no filter?

  21. Do you still use the stock intake pipe (turbo to air box) and stock plumb-back and breather setup?
  22. What GTST is trying to say is, if there was to be any difference in power it would be without the air filter as there is no restriction. Doesn't make sense that a different filter would give you more power/boost.
  23. Hey man You should get a fuel pump, maybe a WALBRO/BOSCH something like that off the forums if your not looking at spending a lot of $$ and go for a REMAP of the standard ECU. Not sure who does REMAPS up there in Brisbane but a tune will make all the difference. With the high flow R33 turbo, you should be able to safely crack the 200rwkw mark depending on the size of the turbo and tune etc Cost of REMAP roughly $500 (depending) + fuel pump $250. If $750 see's you 200rwkw, I wouldn't be complaining! That should keep you happy for a while
  24. I know of a R32 GTR making just a bit over 208rwkw with de-cat pipe, 3" cat back exhaust, ARC cooler, TOMEI fuel pump and about 12psi boost. Everything else is pretty much standard but its running on a chipped standard ECU from Japan. I guess 195rwkw at 10psi sounds about right, thats if its not tuned/chipped at all.
