  1. Hey buddy Welcome to SAU. Nice car, how does it go with the Rb25?
  2. Hey If you get your car retuned with an after market ECU there will be no need for a FPR as the fuel pressure can be set via tune. Do you have a stand alone ECU?
  3. PM this guy; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...?showuser=42172 He might sell his.
  4. Hahah fair call.
  5. CLARION or ALPINE for 6.5" coaxial speakers and splits?
  6. Well said!..
  7. Yep will most likely fit.
  8. wtf? lol
  9. I think the CASTROL EDGE comes in 0w40 as well, maybe he bought that?
  10. That should be fine. CASTOL EDGE 10w60 SHELL HELIX ULTRA 5w40 The above are also good quality oil's to use. Have a read of the link below, plenty of recommendations and experiences with different oil's http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=22458
  11. Yep, same as what we did on my cousins 180sx. Looks hot man, nice work man.
  12. This is exactly what I was talking about lol
  13. I have seen/been in a few cars running WALBRO pumps. One of those has been running a WALBRO for over 2 years with no issues or signs of failure. It is also making over 200rwkw, and has been for the period of time the fuel pump has been installed. Also from what I have red in the forced induction section "turbo upgrades for RB20/25" many people are using WALBRO pumps and making well over 200rwkw. However, I am reading mixed responses from people such as your self who say they have witnessed plenty of WALBRO failures, and then from others like 'THE MAFIA' who say WALBRO's are fine, I am running 300rwkw on one. There is too much controversy for me to now agree/disagree that WALBRO's are good/bad now, but I am going off personal experience. I know now I will not be going with a WALBRO pump, as an item should not have so much mixed responses. It is either good or its not. It is telling me that either the quality of the pump is not consistent or it's just the luck of the draw, some fail some don't? As for BOSCH 040, I have run 3 of them in 3 different cars with no issues but like you said, have also heard about them failing... Now that you mention it, I haven't heard of a single TOMEI/NISMO pump failing, why? I don't know... However, it seems like they are doing something right. All my recommendations/opinions are based on personal experience or from what I have read, so that is why I was recommending the WALBRO pump.
  14. Bad compression test would probably indicate that the rings are worn, which is why the compression is low. Ummm.. rebuild I think? lol Can't do much else if you have low compression.
  15. Get a compression test and a leak down test done. That will give you a good indication of how healthy the motor is. Compression test you can do your self if you have a tester. As long as they are generally fairly even (1 - 2psi variance) it will be fine. Expecting around 150psi/cylinder for a healthy Rb25.
  16. What about BOSCH 040 pumps, how do they compare? I am getting put off WALBRO the more I read about it. So many mixed responses and view that I don't know who to believe. Due to so much mixed repsonses though, it couldn't possibly worth it.. I am thinking about going BOSCH 040, how do they compare? Good reliable pump? I'm not worried about installation, just the pump quality it self. I don't really want to spend $300+ for a TOMEI/NISMO.
  17. But, if you want to spend that sort of money (4-6k for a rebuilding the RB25) you might as well do an RB26/30setup. I'm sure you wont get bored of that. Personally I would go for the RB30 bottom end if I was going to spend that sort of money. There not as expensive as people think they are. Should have a read through the thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=15420
  18. 2nd hand RB20 motor, cost about $300 - $600? If you get a good condition one it will last you for a while. Otherwise if your not happy with the RB20, like your saying, just go with an RB25 like most others do, or if you want to be creative go an RB26?

    My New Car

wtf lol Looks like a nice clear car man, but have to say take the wing off and slam it. Will look heaps better. Just needs a nice big cooler.
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...689&hl=2510 Oh it sold not to long ago!!
  21. Is straight bolt on provided you get one in the right flange Can use existing lines, but best to get a bigger oil feed so it gets sufficient oil to keep it healthy! Dump pipe pattern is the same, so you can use the exisitng exhaust setup. I will find you the link to the for sale thread, I am pretty sure it came with braided lines also.
  22. Did the paint peel/chip or anything? I want to get mine done soon as well, and micolour is close to me.
  23. Thanks for your reply mate. Yeah I am a fan of high flows as they are straight bolt on, and look stock, which is the great thing. I thought your results with the high flow were very good, but was a bit disappointed in its lifespan, but I guess that’s due to other things and not the quality of the turbo it self. 20psi @ 3,700rpm is good, not to laggy at all. Is the GT28RS really of a similar size to a GT2530? I had no idea man; no one ever mentioned it before. With RB20/25 exhaust housing, when do you think it would be making full boost, and will that make the size of the GT28RS similar to a GT2530? How much bigger is it than the 2530? I might actually look into getting one of these, there not to expensive brand new either.
  24. Yeah once your looking at over 220rwkw you have to consider bigger injectors as well as a Z32 AFM. Decent size turbo, with a substantial amount of lag, over response. After a lot of research and reading that thread in my first post on this thread, I have decided to stay under 220rwkw.
