  1. Yep I'd go a specific kit over a universal kit like a HYBRID/JUST JAP. It comes down to cost. I spent a bit on a BLITZ kit for my R32, but I know it will bolt straight on and I wanted a return flow style piping setup so the car retainst he standard piping in the engine bay and runs to 1 side outside the car like the stock cooler. If I didn't do that, I was going to buy a JUST JAP kit. You cant go wrong for $345 + delivery. Will need to make your own mounting bracks, but other than that the piping lines up fair easily. The hardest part is actually mounting the intercooler, and cutting the hole under the battery tray.
  2. Yeah takes it in the ass somewhere around there!
  3. Hahaha yeah I was hoping Roy would have some input, I always read about him changing his rev limiter for different events!
  4. 8,300 rpm damn, thats high. Weird how they are out so much hey? LOL @ dont hold it long enough to write it down.
  5. Ohh ok thanks man. Yeah no point reving it that hard unless you get power that high, which you wont on standard turbo. I don't tend to rev it past 6,500rpm as it is now as it beings to struggle. But once I get it tuned with the WOLF I will get the limiter set to about 7,800 rpm.
  6. Is that right. Whats the reason for it being out, like where they released out from factory? I haven't managed to actually hit limiter, even in the wet when having a bit of fun, but I tend to be cautious about how high its reving.
  7. Oh thats interesting.. No idea man, wont be able to check that until I get my WOLF in and tuned I guess, or I guess until it gets onto a dyno.
  8. 8,200 far out. I would never rev it that hard.. well.. It struggles to rev kinda past 5,500 - 6,000 rpm due to being on standard turbo, stock intcooler and only having a cat back exhaust. Once I get the turbo back exhaust on, cooler and bigger turbo on, with the WOLF tuned then I will rev it to that
  9. 8,200rpm is getting fairly high into the rev range!..
  10. Yeah its very weird! I usually rev my cars hard, but I actually really like this R32 and I'm looking after it haha I don't want to be reving it past past recommended redline! Has anyone experienced or seen a RB20 with a rev limiter, on standard ECU?
  11. ... so its set at 8,200 or is that just a random comment? lol
  12. Hey My car is pretty stock, came from Japan about 4 weeks ago. Only engine modifications it has is a back exhaust and pod filter. Basically there is no rev limiter? I have rev'd it to 8,000rpm on occasions and backed off as it didn't stop at a limiter? Red line starts at 7,500 if I am not wrong, and it should be limited at 7,800 if I am not mistaken? I have spoken to a few other RB20 owners and they have also had the same issue. I guess the question I am asking is, did R32 RB20DET come out with a rev limiter? I haven't checked the ECU yet, but I doubt it would have been altered as the car is very stock.. But what would I be looking for that would show the rev limiter has been removed? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Abu
  13. My cousin imports privately and can find you whatever you want. He is based in Melbourne, but can send cars to where ever you are. Send me a PM if your interested. Thanks, Abu
  14. Nic, has the motor been compression tested?
  15. HYBRID will do the job man. How much power you looking at running etc? JUST JAP do a good intercooler kit for about $345 + delivery. Incudes all silicone joiners, clamps and polished piping. There good for street use, and probably something like 260rwkw if not more.
  16. Should really go pretty hard once it's retuned James, not like it wouldn't go hard now!
  17. I have been told Ben at Race Pace for PFC tune, or Rob at Sabbadin for Wolf etc Abu
  18. I agree with that also. Go to a MAP. I think most standard internal MAP sensors are roughly 25psi (Wolf/Microtech), then you can upgrade to an external MAP which goes to about 35psi roughly. Abu
  19. Damn cheap man, well worth it for a quality cage. Good luck with the sale. Abu
  20. Good stuff. Writing up a PM for you now Nic. Abu
  21. Yep sorry. What I was trying to say was if you want plugs gapped to 0.8mm, just buy them pre-gapped at 0.8mm instead of having to re-grap them down from 1.1mm for instance. I think factory gapped plugs save you the hassle and chance for error. I usually check the gap before putting them in, just to save time and hassle later, but they are usually at the correct gap as on packaging.
  22. Nic, the clutch your selling is that the same one thats running in the car at the moment, holding 230rwkw? Also, how much meat left on it, or is it near new condition? If you were in Melbourne man, I wouldn't mind grabbing that motor for a spare one to build up.. Freight to Melbourne? Thanks, Abu
  23. This has been covered heaps man, but a WALBRO pump will do the job and is good value for money. They sit in the stock cradle fairly easy, so installation is simple and hassle free. BOSCH 040 is probably that little bit better, but there is nothing wrong with the WALBRO. There are a few people running them on there R33 and making good power. I know 1 member off the top of my head who is making 300rwkw on a WALBRO pump. Currently available form a SAU Trader at $160 delivered, link below. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=183502
  24. Now have a stock BOV, still need a stock shifter for an RB20 manual gear box.
  25. BOV sold to me. Thanks, Abu
