  1. Hey Did a bit of searching but got very vague answers in regards to what I was looking for. I'm wondering at what point on an RB20DET (power wise) do you need to upgrade the AFM to a Z32 AFM? Also, if you do upgrade to a Z32 earlier, is there any benefits or gains to be seen? When going to a Z32 AFM, can you use the standard intake pipe with the Z32 on there, or do you need to change the intake pipe? I know the Z32 has a greater diameter, but if a reducer silicone joiner is used, will that be fine? Thanks in advance, Abu
  2. Should go a bit more than that. Seen people going to up and a little beyond 250rwkw on standard RB25 AFM. Interested to know what they do max out at though? Yep, wouldn't be too happy would it..
  3. I am in desperate need of an R32 RB20DET air box, need it for compliance so its urgent PM or SMS/call 0416 623 381. I can pick it up from anywhere in Melbourne. Thanks, Abu

  6. Just wondering if the guy who makes these boost controllers in on these forums? I cant buy one as my ebay account is suspended. Thanks, and sorry to go a little off topic. Abu
  7. Ring spanners or is open end ok? I prefer to use ratchet spanners my self, but I guess it depends on the individual.
  8. All cars run diffs, even the mini spoled ones..
  9. You probably wont feel any difference in power, unless you increase the boost then thats where the power will be coming from. But it will boost at the right boost, without the spiking and over boosting. If you want to set it on a higher boost, say 15psi it will bleed to that and hold much better and much more stable than a standard RB25 actuator for instance. You not to gain any power from installing it, just better boost control.
  10. Heat shield should still fit as the turbo is low mounted. Wouldn't be sitting that close to the manifold that you cant get the heat shield on. Just my theory, not definite though. Although have no reason to see why it wouldn't fit, as the over-all sizes are virtually the same.
  11. Yep that should be good. I'm also keen to know if it would improve the curve? Guess it would as it would have a greater flow over standard, helps the engine to breathe better! If anything should be a bit more responsive and might pick up a bit of mid-range or something?
  12. Pretty good for stock turbo, stock cat and cat back exhaust. Should upgrade the exhaust to a high flow cat and 3" cat back and see if you pickup any power. With better flow from the exhaust would the power curve improve at all? Nice work though, you must be heaps happy with it!
  13. bump. Need to get rid of this seat this weekend. Make a reasonable offer. Seat is worth $1100 brand new, why pay that when you can get it in mint condition and as new for $700neg!! Thanks, Abu

  18. His names LEIGH (DUZ360). I think there around $600 delivered. He is also on SAU I'm pretty sure. Yep, stock looks fine I reckon, a lot of after market stuff looks shit.
  19. Extractors are for NA (naturally aspirated) cars with no turbos. It sits on the head and goes into a dump/front and onto the exhaust. Turbo cars have a manifold, on which the turbo sits on, and the exhaust sits on the back of the turbo. For turbo cars you cant get extractors, but you can get different forums of manifold, say tuned length, log style, high mount or low mount log style, high mount or low mount tuned length, and the obvious ones like polished which yeh is obviously just polished lol Hope that helps a bit.
  20. I actually read about RB26 plenums on RB20s a while ago now, but its still applicable. Dyno tests where done prior to removing the standard RB20 plenum, and it was replaced with an RB26 plenum. After the plenum install it was re-dynoed and the car actually made less power/torque and was less responsive. Did anyone else read this article? I think it was in HPI magazine. There is nothing wrong with the stock RB20 plenum I have to say, but I can see where your coming from if your issue is the fact that the piping has to run over the engine. I find that annoying when you want to change spart plugs, but thats about it. If thats the issue then I dont think its worth the trouble to make it/or get a front facing plenum. If your issue is the length of the piping, then dont even bother. The way its setup is fine, and dont think you will get much better results with shorter piping. Just my thoughts..
  21. For the idiot who SMS'd and offered $400incl postage to WA.. your an idiot. Price is $700neg, genuine interest only! Price is negotiable to a certain extent and all reasonable offers are considered Thanks, Abu
  22. Mini spool is the best fun ever. Haven't had one in a skyline, but I assume it would just be even more fun lol Just lock it/weld it, mini spool it or get a 2 way!
