  1. APEXi power intakes are probably one of the best quality filters I have seen. Really strong design and very durable, where as the HKS foam style filters along with the TRUST ones need regular maintenance such as oiling and changing of the filament regularly. Have seen a HKS filter at its worst, only had about 70% left what what should have been a full filter! Foam does tend to break away and get sucked in over time, especially when your running high boost. Just play it safe and use a paper filter, they work very well and will last you a long time.
  2. Sounds about right.
  3. 3" turbo back would be perfect, with a high-flow 3" CAT. If you dont like it to loud I suggest you put a resonator or a muffler in as a straight through 3" which a CAT will be fairly loud!
  4. No worries. Good luck
  5. Greater flow, so intake an exhaust modifications will give you slight boost increase as siddr20 said. Later downt he track when you put a cooler on, you may see the boost rise to about 10psi. Its only because there is a greater flow of air, and less effort for the turbo to spool and do its thinking, it makes more boost. It's perfectly normal. In a way, it breathes easier, so it can breath more! (boost)
  6. Probably no power increase over all, but its probably running a lot safer now with more punch in the mid-rage? AFR's would probably be a lot better. But with saying that, you maybe be able to up the boost a little more now, so you will probably seem some better power, but make sure you get it on a dyno sometimes just to check if the AFRs are safe. The splutter could have been the car leaning out, due to not getting a sufficient amount of fuel from the stock pump. With the TOMEI pump, you get a increase in fuel flow/pressure and its able to maintain a more consistant fuel pressure and prevent it from leaning out. Something like that!..
  7. Internal gate or external? Is it brand new? Will wait for pictures also. Thanks, Abu
  8. You sure its the turbo? The sound description seems more like a leak somwhere rather than a turbo dying etc..
  9. King springs are an option, they make springs in a few different heights. Lows, superlows, and ultra lows. Minimum your looking at paying is about $230 for a set. A lot of people going with BILSTEIN shocks and springs for good handling as well as looks. SYDNEYKID had a group buy style setup happening for BILSTEIN suspension, shocks and springs, all set up for awesome handling in the group buy section, not sure if there still available. Otherwise you can go with coilovers, most are height adjustable.
  10. Not that I could find buddy. It is pretty straight forward though.

  13. Dan, Do you have a stock air box for RB20DET?
  14. Either mummy or daddy is rich, or the things on finance.
  15. Sold & pending payment.
  16. Thats true. External gate it known/prone to hold oost better than an internal gate setup, BUT that would be depending on the interal gate and boost controller setup I'd say.. There is plenty of people running up to 20psi on internaly gated turbo's such as high flows, and the boost holds fine. Rb20 actuators are better at holding boost as they are designed to run stock 10psi, so they are easier to bleed, where as RB25 actuators are designed to run about 7psi?, so its a big harder to bleed higher boost with it.
  17. hahah thanks champ, much appreciated. Yeah I want mine done in black! I think its called a return flow setup, the style of piping..
  18. Give you a few areas where not to move to; Laverton Sunshine Cranbourne Boronia Footscray Noble Park Doveton Pakenham Werribee Frankston
  19. Tempted mate lol But there tad cheaper from a trader on the forums, SLIDE. Plus the cusion button is more expensive then a brass button, but the brass button can take more power lol Hence why I'm leaning towards a brass button.
  20. Yep, BLiTZ TYPE M. Ah 3 layer is it? Awesome. Do you have pictures of it on the car? Keen to see how they look. Also is yours polished or just the normal silver finish or black? Annnnd last question, sorry mate. What size is the intercooler it self, I didnt get dimensions Thanks
  21. bump. anyone? They look really nice, change from the plain yellowy/white display.
  22. I tired searching for BLiTZ M I/C's on google/yahoo to get some specifications, but coudn't manage to source anything. I'm guessing its a rather old product from BLiTZ that why. If anyone has has any more information or specifications on the kit please let me know! Thanks
  23. LoL yep, I suspected it was something to do with thickness of the core, but after you told me how to check the layers, I checked my mates GREDDY cooler. Suprisingly enough 3 layer. BLiTZ M single layer!! Nooo This is what I wanted to get clarified as the previous owner in Japan wasn't sure if it was a 2 layer or a 3 layer! I hope its not a single, not like it would make a difference but..
  24. I have seen a 3 layer GREDDY intercooler before.. BLiTZ, GREDDY etc advertise there coolers as 2 or 3 layer cores. Reason I put the thread up was because I wanted to know if this particular cooler came in 2 layer or 3, as I cant see it until it arrives from Japan Also wasn't sure on the difference between 2 layer and 3, besides the fact that it has an extra layer lol
