  1. This is interesting, what did you do to modify it to hold higher boost? Just curious, as there is a big thread about BOV's at the moment..
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=181922 Or you could buy this!
  3. I am interested in a high flow of an Rb25 turbo, as long as there is not too much involved with getting the lines altered. Is there any people in for definate yet, or is it still all in the process at the moment? Thanks, Abu
  4. Na just got a standard RB20 turbo on my car at the moment. Will have a think about it and see how I go, depends when the group buy will take off.
  5. Yeah, I have seen those. Been keeping an eye on the group buy. Do you have to provide your own turbo to get high flowed?

Damn that must have been in the days!.. Not so cheap anymore Personally dont mind paying up to $1.00/L for petrol, but anything more is just getting to be a rip off.
  7. Thats pretty good. Is that on stock clutch too?

Yep, petrol prices are fair high these days, although I full tanked my skyline the other night, cost me about $55, but had about 1/4 tank (15L) in there already.. Thats paying about 1.28c/L of high octane fuel. My car is pretty good on fuel though, depends how/where you drive it Make sure you always fill good fuel in it, very important!!
  9. Well that about sums it up. Thanks guys, Abu
  10. Hi Did a little search and didn't get what I was after. Has anyone used or is using a RX7 13B S5 turbo on there RB20/25 engine? I'm curious as I don't think I have read of anyone using them.. They sell pretty cheap 2nd hand, and also high-flows go for a fairly decent price. They are quiet a large turbo as the 13b turbo motors flow rate is roughly equivalent to a 4L piston engine. I ask because I have a friend running one on his Falcon turbo, makes quick boost and a fair bit of power, 181rwkw on 8psi, but other than that, I haven't really seen anyone else running them except for the rotar boys. S5 13b turbos are pretty popular once high flowed, quiet a few 13b motors running big power with them. Any comments/feed back/experience would be appreciated. Thanks, Abu
  11. I called and no answer. Waste of time.
  12. What other mods? An R33 with fuel pump, cooler, turbo back exhaust, button clutch and standard ECU making 205rwkw ran a 13.1 on street tires. LTHLRB I think where his plates. Depends on the driver, depends on your tires etc.. There are a million different variables that could effect that time.
  13. Candy apple red!
  14. Damn Hyper33, thats fkn mint! Who did the installation?
  15. I have attached a picture of the MICROTECH that Phil is selling to help him with his sale. This MICROTECH comes with loom to SUIT R32. This means that there is no wiring required, just plugging in the plugs as the loom has all the plugs ready to plug into the existing sensors and injectors. Pretty much plug it in and get it tuned and off you go. The installation can be done by your self, so there is no need to get a tuner to install it. Its pretty straight forward. 2nd closest thing to a plug and play unit pretty much. It should also hold a base map for a RB20DET. It is very well priced, and is a complete stand alone ECU. Also comes with the in-line hand controller for real life readings and tuning, which brand new is worth about $200. Don't miss out on it if you are looking for a full standalone after market ECU, its very worth it IMO. Phil didn't know much about the ECU so I am just helping him out with the sale, nothing in it for me. Good luck with the sale Phil. Thanks, Abu
  16. PM sent. I want to know if its plug and play into the R32 ECU or is it a universal unit which needs to be wired up? Does it have a plug where it plugs into the MICROTECH unit, then another plug on the other end? Or does it just have lose wires? Or if you dont know can you just send me pictures of the loom, I will be able to let you know. Sorry for the big post. Thanks, Abu

Congratulations man. R32's are the best, you have many fun times to come. Enjoy it! Abu
  18. Your so random! wtf lol Ok now I see what your saying and where your going with this!.. Need someone to confirm the above
  19. Used a GFB bleed valve on my falcon turbo, with TiAL ex gate, and it held boost fairly well too. I was impressed, but there pretty expensive, I mean, not unreasonable expensive, about $80. Not sure what system they use, but the TURBOTECH use a ball bearing/spring system.
  20. Agreed. They look flash, but functionality wise they suck, they are not user friendly at all. I had a BLITZ DSBC, and from what I read about it, and saw of it, was very easy to use/configure. Very easy to install and did what it was supposed to. Again with the cost issue, why bother when a bleed valve can do the same thing, $300 vs $30. I sold my BLITZ DSBC off as I decided I didnt need it, never installed it either. Was more wank than practicality.
  21. It just comes down to what you prefer and past experiences. I mean you may like EBC as you may have had/heard of bad experiences with a bleed valve. Just with an EBC, most people would probably have to get it installed professionally as they probably dont want to hack into the wiring themselves, also if you have never used/setup one, they are not the easiest thing to configure. EBC's such as AVCR can be set up on various RPM points, so probably best to get it tuned on a dyno for good safe AFRs and to prevent spiking/creeping. Installation + tuning + the cost of the EBC.. you end up paying heaps.
  22. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbotech-manual-tu...1QQcmdZViewItem There you go.
  23. I ran the TURBOTECH on my VL turbo, about 14psi. I mean it held 14psi well, wasn't that hard to adjust or set up. Took about 10 minutes, if that. Didnt spike or creep at all, sometimes I pushed it to 16psi also. Installed a AVCR into my cousins R33.. Now he only runs about 12psi, the work involved with it, then the configuration procedure, its just not worth it. I mean it still spikes 1-2psi, its still not set correctly. and it was just a head ache to configure. Its so timely.. Where as he was running my TURBOTECH prior to that on his R33, and it held 12psi all day, and it held it fine. He has a SLIDE high flow turbo, cooler, exhaust, usual mods. Where talking about a product worth about $400odd vs a product worth $30 max. I know what I will be going with..
  24. Hahah I have experienced that statement in the past, but it doesn't apply to everything as some people seem to think!
  25. Na mate. A bleed valve will service you fine. As Guilt-Toy said, he was running 25psi with no issues. I am sure it will do what you want it to just fine.
