Hey 230rwkw on standard R33 turbo is a bit out of reach but 200rwkw is about right. People make anything from 190rwkw - 210rwkw on standard turbo, + supporting mods. Depends on other little things, but that is a the range of power you would be looking at on about 12psi. How much power you chasing? If its only 230rwkw then you don't need much. This topic has been done over heaps and heaps of times, in the last week I think I have posted in 3 of them! But again to get you start here is what you need, according to power; 190 - 210rwkw: Stock turbo Stock ECU Fuel pump (Walbro/GTR/Bosch 040) Intercooler 3" turbo back 12psi + 210rwkw + In addition to the above list; + After market turbo. (high flow? http://www.gcg.com.au/) + Some sort of computer, weather it be stand alone (WOLF 3d which you have or a SAFC II (fuel computer) Probably wouldnt need a stand alone ECU to get you to 230rwkw, but since you already have a WOLF you might as well use it. Gives you more options later in terms of upgrading injectors, AFM etc But 230rwkw could be achieved on standard ECU running an SAFCII (fuel only) plus above mods.. Depending how far you go into the 2XXrwkw mark, later on injectors wouldn't hurt and a Z32.. but that will be in the mid 200rwkw mark (250rwkw+). In terms of turbo, there is many bolt on low mount options available, on standard manifold. HKS GT2530 - pretty sure they range from $1500 + GT-RS is also a pretty popular turbo of choice at the moment. Not sure of price off the top of my head! A high flow turbo should be fine, usually they can go up to 260rwkw depending on size. GCG offer good high flows, and many members use them. Cost I think is about $1600 roughly.. If you need more info, check out this thread below, after market turbo's and members dyno results with supporting mods. This should give you an indication of what you need etc http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=55845 Anyways, hope some of that helps. Thanks, Abu

Free bump. Well priced parts!! Thanks, Abu

Thanks for that little table, thats pretty much what I was after. Major variance in cylinders would definitely call for a bit of concern. Thanks, Abu

And that pretty much sums it up. Thanks, Abu

Hahaha yep. I was waiting for someone to reply with a definite answer, but seems as no one knows.. I searched for a while last night through the net and on the forums, but could only manage to get the same answers as above. Yeah I know what your saying, but I sort of wanted to know how low is too low, and whats perfect, so I can sort of work out where mine stands in that comparison. Ah well, will do it and see what I get! Thanks guys, Abu

I don't think he is saying he cant afford it, he is simply saying if he can do it him self, and save $200 then why not? I'm sure many people wouldn't know how to install it, or even dare to try, but for those who do know and have tried they have also saved anything up to an easy $200.. I think thats all his intention is really. Thanks, Abu

Hey Paul Its tuned through the SAFC, as it only controls fuel Not sure if they touch the timing, pretty sure there is no need from what I have read/been told. Only thing they may touch in the engine bay is boost settings, depending on how much boost you want to run. Other than that, its all set up on the SAFC.. Not sure how easy they are to tune, but you would need to know the AFR's which you cant, unless you have a wide-band which you probably don't.. AFR - air fuel ratio's.. determines how rich/lean, safe/bad the car is running according to air & fuel intake. To lean can be dangerous, to rich is just a waste, and with either car wont run to its full potential. I would recommend you install it if your good with wiring, and get it properly tuned on a dyno, where all engine values can be monitored and set up correctly for a nice safe reliable tune. I can install it easily, tuning I could probably work out over time, but I would rather leave it to a professional who knows what they are doing, with the equipment and the experience. After all, a tune will cost you a lot less than a new motor if you stuff something up! Good luck with it. Thanks, Abu

I would assume 2nd hand as he is wrecking the car.. Thanks, Abu -
Hi Did a search just before, didn't find the exact figure I was looking for, only peoples results with compression tests. Just wondering what the standard compression is supposed to be on a R32 RB20DET? I want to know the readings you should get on both WOT and closed. Also what is the lowest to expect, and whats reasonable/safe for the age of the motor, mines done about 120,XXX KM's. Will be doing one as soon as my car arrives home early this week. Thanks in advance, Abu

Wouldnt happen to have a standard RB25 turbo would you? If you have one in good condition send me a PM Thanks, Abu -
That really sucks man. My car arrived on Friday 27th (just passed) and was supposed to be cleared from the Terminal on Friday. Unfortunately my compliance guy hasn't got the import approval after assuring me that he will have it by Friday 27th. Now car is stuck there until I can get the VIA, which I'm praying is on Monday, well today actually so we can have it cleared. Hope I don't have the same problem, I am really worried at the moment. They say it wont pass the inspection first shot, as many don't, so it will have to go through for a 2nd time.. Hope it all works out for you man.. Thanks, Abu

Hey man RB30 air box is completely differnt, there is no hope that it will fit into an R32. They are the same/similar to a VN - VS Holden air box. I have also been looking for an R32 RB20DET air box, but no luck yet. Keep trying Thanks, Abu

Nice car man, love R34's, especially in white. Not a fan of the wheels but, maybe some WORK VSKF's with heaps of dish and black centers will match it more lol Nice work though. Good luck with it. Thanks, Abu

Anyone else?? Pretty keen to buy, have cash waiting! Thanks, Abu

Probably some Government bullshit to hold your car at the docks for longer because its an import, and so they can charge you for storage and screw you over some more. Like the import duty + GST + stamp duty wasn't enough. Good luck with it, I hope you get it soon.. Thanks, Abu

Hey man Been covered plenty of times on the forums, but I will get you started. Probably a front mount intercooler setup, a lot available these days. Just Jap do a kit from $345 + postage. It includes all piping, clamps and joiners, pretty much everything you need to install it. Turbo back exhaust, can pretty much get something off the shelf. Smallest you would go is 2.5", 3" is the preference. Cat back is fine, but turbo back if you really want to see some better improvements. More flow, more gains. Some sort of cold air intake. Standard air box is fine for what you want, unless you want the nice induction turbo noise, as we all do, then get a pod filter. Exhaust and cooler might see you a slight boost increase, if not then its more than capable of boost being upped to 12psi or so. Also wouldn't hurt to upgrade the fuel pump if your upping the boost. Plenty of used GTR pumps available, if no then a BOSCH 040 or a WALBRO is your best bet. Turbo back exhaust, fount mount intercooler, fuel pump, + 12psi should see you around 200rwkw on standard ECU (been done plenty of times), maybe a little bit more with a SAFC and a tune. Best to upgrade clutch also if you want to increase boost and get a little bit more power happening, may pay off later down the track. Good luck with it all. Thanks, Abu
