Having quiet chuckles at this thread, got to this bit and lost my sh!t!!!

That's the one... didn't know it had ethanol in it! As for the wiring, I pulled the pins out of the plugs on each end of the wires, put new wiring in there, stripped the ends and folded them over then soldered the tips, then crimped the wires onto the pins.. Shouldn't have any issues with it now!

Phew! I was starting to think I was going loopy!!! I did put one tank of 100 octane through her.. but it sat for about 3 days with it in there.. As for the heat shrink, I had ni idea it wasn't fuel safe... do now though! I'll keep you in mind incase I die again Artz!

This is the part where I put on my little propeller hat and slink away... This arvo after pulling a fuel line, I run a multimeter over the fuel pump loom and plugs. Good power there. So I pulled out the pump - I should have taken photos, it was so odd - one strand of wire hanging on to the positive wire!! I soldered the joins and heat shrinked them, not knowing heat shrink deteriorates in fuel, but the strangest thing was that it looked like the solder had corroded, it was pitted in spots and missing in others! I know that I had great joins when It went in two weeks ago, so exposed wire and completely covered in solder. Unsure what solder it was as I no longer have the roll... Has anyone ever seen/heard of this happening??

No fuel pressure. Again. Took the line off the manifold, turned accessories on and nothing. Thought it might have been the filter, so I took that off and still nothing!! I've tried swapping relays around, tried other fuses but no joy. This thing is doing my head in...

I didn't check by pulling the hose off, but after letting it sit for an hour or so yesterday, I flicked it to 'on' and I could hear the relay click and the pump prime (noisy walbro). I'll pull the hose tonight after work and check for flow. Will post the results later.

Hey all, I've got another issue with my 96 gtst. Driving along today on about 70k's, aircon on (32 degrees outside), changed to an 80k zone so I go to speed up a little. All of a sudden I can feel the car rev, but the tacho didn't move. I backed off and tried again. Same thing, but the hicas light came on. Then I lost power steering. The whole dash lit up, all warning lights came on. As I pulled over, she stalled. I let it sit for 10-15 minutes, tried cranking her over, she would start and idle rough as hell ~450 rpm then stall again. She did that about 3 times but now won't start at all! Bog stock apart from an exhaust. 2 weeks ago I put a new fuel pump in. Replaced the fuel filter. Replaced all spark plugs. Cleaned the afm. Checked over all coil pack and the loom - all in mint condition. I've checked all fuses, nothing is blown, all the relays are good... I'm stumped! Anyone else have this happen??

Haha! Well you know, excluding those fancy setups...

If they were new when you put them in, they will settle and sit lower after a while. All suspension systems will 'sag' with time. Pretty much any tyre joint should be able to lift it a bit if they are adjustable... either that or get some stock gear and bolt that in to clear the defect...

^ ultimate win right there!!!!

Wankers! So frustrating..

Haha! Ah yes! The ole falcadore single spinners, limiter bashing their flogged out horsepower beasts...
-
There's always gotta be that one flog that causes trouble for everyone else, we get the crap and he gets away with it... it's buuuuuullshit!
-
You've been copping it too?? Was it a guy, in his 20-30's, 175cm or so tall, solid/muscular build, dark hair with real steely grey/blue eyes and some kind of writing tattooed on his inner left forearm??
-
Yeah I think I've seen it around jb! Looks tough man!
-
Lowered with dark tint??
-
LOL!! I wasn't suggesting that! I've always got my eye out for other skylines down this way (suss out body mods, chew the fat about power mods and the like)... seen a few white and maroon ones, but haven't seen any other black or greys around!
-
HAHA! Winning? So you're in frankston yeah?
-
Going by body language, he wasn't far off doing it!! If I had been doing something, fair call, I'd take it on the chin and admit it, but faaaark, we get enough attention without doing anything stoopid!
-
Haha! Nice to know it's not just me! Which poster is Anthony?

Hey all, Does anyone know/seen a black r33 in the frankston area driving like an absolute twat? Some guy comes up to me at in mornington late arvo today telling me that he's got photos of me doing burnouts and hooning at 'my favorite roundabout' where a retirement village is - intersection of Robinson Rd and Golf Links Road in Frankston. Tried to tell him it wasn't me, but he wouldn't believe me. He said he's being civil because there are cameras around but he wanted to smash my face in. Kinda strange, because I NEVER go past there!! AND, That kinda thing isn't really appealing to me, especially in residential areas! I mean, the last time I drove along that road was about 8 months ago in a hilux! When I said I had no idea where he was talking about (I actually had to google it!) he got really antzy. He ended it with something to the effect of 'f*ck off and do it somewhere else, because now I know exactly who you are, what you look like and what your car looks like - next time won't be so nice!' I can't remember the exact words as I was to preoccupied trying to think of what roundabout it was!! Regardless, I went to the Mornington cop shop and filed a report. It's definitely a case of guilty by association, but now I'm pretty worried that this twit with a car that looks similar to mine is going to continue and I will end up with my face caved in OR damage to my pride and joy...

Can't hear anything from the pump. Hitting the tank was the first thing we tried when I saw no fuel coming from the filter when being cranked, still no dice Ran the multi over the below - getting good power ( 12v+ ) through the fuse, relay and in to the wires running in to the tank.
