  1. Yeah, I'm sorry to be such a smartass guys - it's a big job moderating a totally dynamic site with thousands of users - however if the rules say something, then it should be adhered to at all times. Anyway I'm sure I look like a bit of a d***head after making these whiney posts - but of course I do understand where all of the moderators and posters in this thread are coming from. It's unfortunate IMO, that a valuable tool like Nissan FAST isn't legal for personal use, or use outside of Nissan I think funkymonkey's point/statement is entirely valid - so yeah, I'll stop being a wang now
  2. So why then is the "VINs you want fasted" thread acceptable? * It's a thread based around software that is being used illegally * People post screenshots of perhaps confidential/private Nissan (as in the company) information * People are discussing the above two things... therefore it's discussion of an illegal activity... Should it not also be removed? Also "discussion of any other illegal activities" - modding a car illegally - sure, you can't make the driver stop driving it - but using the logic stated in your post - then you should at least be removing threads discussing illegal modifications (anything that breaks emissions/noise/road safety/environmental laws... as modifying is an activity, and is being discussed... Also this thread -----> http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...4182&st=920 Should be deleted
  3. OK, I can agree 100% if that's the reason why mine was deleted... however... What about encouraging the use of a pirated version of a licenced product... aka the "VINS you want "fasted"" thread... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=128496 Double standards? Think about it...
  4. Would a mod care to explain? I received no PM, no info, no nothing...
  5. FYI, Radio waves /= (do not equal) sound waves. Radio waves are part of the EM spectrum, which includes Gamma Rays, X-Rays, Infra-Red, Radio, Light, Microwaves etc. There's no "distortion" but there is a difference in the reflective, absorption, scattering and interference properties between Radio and Light (visible or otherwise) Radiation. Also light speed is a constant (although this is in debate) - and thus all electromagnetic waves, whether they are light or radio or x-ray in nature (the names merely refer to the frequency of the EM wave) - all of them travel the same speed... So today is your lucky day, you have in fact learnt two things. :sorcerer:
  6. Actually, you should change the timing belt every 5 yrs/100,000kms - whichever comes first... in your case, it's been more than 5 years... soooo...
  7. Works fine for me guys - and I've also tested it on several mates computers, etc. Make sure you have Windows Media Player 10 installed on your computer, you can download it from here Windows Media Player 10 Download If you still can't get it to work after that - reply here and I'll see what I can do to make it work for you
  8. Jessica Bullen Memorial Cruise DVD - Preview Movie Hey guys and girls, this is a preview movie of the soon to be released DVD documenting the Memorial Cruise for Jessica Lee Bullen, held on the 23/12/2005. Hundreds of cars turned up for the event from clubs such as Street Commodores, FastFours, Hot4's, AusRotary, NissanSilvia, SkylinesAustralia, OzHonda and PreludeAustralia, with the cruise led by some of Jess's closest friends. It all started at P6, Olympic Park Homebush then headed up through Ryde and St Ives to Warriewood - stopping at Quarter Mile Performance where an auction was held, with proceeds going to the Bullen family. The Cruise then continued and concluded at Palm Beach. For anyone who wants to remember that amazing night, or if you attended the cruise and missed out on making a donation, or even if you're just a stranger who wants to make a donation to the Bullen family - this upcoming DVD is the way to do it. A proportion of the proceeds from the DVD sales will be donated to the Bullen family to assist with the purchase of a wonderful memorial for a wonderful girl. If you have any comments or queries regarding the DVD, please do not hesitate to ask in this thread! EDIT: For those of you who don't know... Jessica, 18, died after a hit and run incident on Barrenjoey Rd, Palm Beach, when she was cycling home from a party on November 6. Link to Manly Daily Article
  9. Can't believe you guys can't find VHT paint (and also Gold VHT Paint...) - Motoquipe in Burwood Westfield have some, otherwise Rare Spares on Parra Road at Burwood have heaps of the stuff.
  10. Updated original post. Sorry for the vague-ness! Posting on behalf of my cousin... so hard to know what to say exactly
  11. Hey guys and girls, My cousin is in the process of getting some cars together for a BIG cruise. The cruise is in memory of Jess, a young high-spiritied girl who was suddenly taken from her friends and family by a speedig 4wd on the 6/11/05. Jess loved the whole car scene and would have loved to see all the cars there for her. The cruise is going to meet at P6 Carpark at Homebush Olympic Park at 8:30pm on the 23/12/05. The cruise will then go to Palm Beach where Jess lived. The police know about the cruise but as long a everyone behaves themselves, there should be no dramas in regards to defects/fines. Tell your friends all cars welcome, we hope to see you there to remember Jess. Summary: Who: ALL cars are welcome, there will be cars from OzHonda, Hot4s, StreetCommodores,SkylinesAustralia, NissanSilvia, PreludeAustralia and MORE. This will be a BIG cruise. Date: 23/12/05 Time: 8:30pm Meet: P6 Carpark Homebush Olympic Park Destination: Palm Beach Car Park Other Notes: Voluntary donations to Jess' family - to assist with funeral costs/a memorial item/etc may be taken, this will be confirmed soon. Details will be updated frequently. EDIT: Clarification of above sentence...
  12. How was that taken, considering the driver is on the RHS? It doesn't look like it was taken in the mirror from the passenger side...
  13. yeah it was a pretty nice car - looked clean cruising along! the white wheels suit it well (and i dont normally rate white+white).. no worries about learning manual, a few weeks and she'll be a pro look out for the car in the DVD footage hehe - i know we got a decent amount of footage of it
  14. haha me too, my face is red as! ah well, now ppl cant tell when i'm blushing.... sweet! nice cruising with you on the way back, hope your run back to chatty was good too - going through the tunnel and then up forest way wasnt too packed, so it was a nice drive. B) yeah yeah, whinge whinge! about 2 weeks until the dvd is done guys, we got some good footage - should be a lot (as a numerical value - 1,000,000!) times better than the avoca dvd to whoever was in that white r33 ***30z who didnt indicate and merged into my lane when i was doing like 100km/hr... that's not cool dude (eh i'm all sweet with it... this time )! mind you, i cut across like 2 lanes of traffic to JUST make the 'gong turnoff, whoopsies! sorry to anyone i screwed up/pushed in front of doing that anyway, awesome cruise! but we should take a soccer ball or a footy or something next time so we have something to do rather than just sit around and chat
