  6. Hi, I not long ago installed a Z32 as the stock one decided to stop working (Stalling, hesitating and misfiring), I diagnosed through consult port cable. I didn't realise you had to retune, which is probably why it is missing on idle still. I was just wondering what are my retune options? I don't partially want to spend 1000+ on an aftermarket ECU until later down the track being non turbo due to p plates. Thanks for any help in advance?
  7. Hey, just wanted some opinions. So out of impulse buying i saw a carbon fibre spoiler and wanted it, thinking it would look awesome. Then realised the boot wouldn't still flush when the OEM one comes off. So i bought a bobtail, painted and installed it and than drilled the carbon fibre wing on. Now I'm really regretting it, i don't really like it. I was looking at old pictures of the car, and don't understand why i even took the old one off in the first place, the OEM look is sooo much better. It is much more beautiful with the original spoiler on. I realise it is my fault for making a stupid knob decision, but i was justing wondering what everyone else thought of it?
  8. Sorry i haven't replied been smashed with homework and study. Replaced the MAF appeared to fix the problems. i just have a missfire now which i am pretty sure is the coilpacks. Thanks for everyone's help!
  9. I read somewhere that when i get the new MAF. i need to reset the ECU or remap it is this true? If so how?
  10. Yeah for sure thanks. I did some research into cleaning of the afms, as it appears that my old one has already been opened. It doesn't look like original silicon, looks like someone has played around with it.
  11. Yeah it's a bit worrying when it's so random and in heavy traffic. But I did order a consult port cable and plugged it in, and it brought up Code 12 : Mass air flow circuit. So I just ordered a new sensor should be here soon!
  12. Hey thanks for your response, yeah i checked the battery the light shows up as green as it's in good condition, and the mechanic checked the alternator it was running at 14.4V.
  13. I'm pretty sure the AFM has been cleaned (has non-factory silicone around window suggesting it has been opened) , the mechanic checked it. Is it possible to check the CAS? I tried starting up today, the first two times motor turned over started and then die straight away. Third time turned over idled roughly 10 minutes before stalling.

  16. Oh and when trying to turn it over and revving it sort of backfire, and went to stall again, sounded like it was having trouble re firing or something. I really dont know whats wrong
  17. Hey, so before anyone says use the search tool! I have spent pretty much the last week living on here and other websites while my car has been at a Mechanic who didn't find a solution, so i have the car back now So I have an R33 GTS4 (Non turbo). I went for a drive the other day and sometimes whiling cruising there would suddenly be loss of power and it came back, then at most sets of lights and roundabouts when i came to a stop the engine cut out and stalled. Then i had trouble turning back over, only way to get going was giving it a lot of revs and looking like a complete tool. It's quite stressful and scary in heavy traffic. I have searched and there could be a million different things that could be wrong and there is no point spending money replacing everything when it could be one simple thing. And a lot of forums end up talking about BOV problems which i don't have. I recently put NGK iridium plugs in Cleaned the AAC idle control The mechanic Checked all vacuum hoses and the AFM (which has appeared to been opened and cleaned once already). I new to skylines, I have no idea whats wrong, im just guessing all different things. I don't know what to look for. Thanks in advance for help!

  22. Thanks for all the information, really helpful. I have done more research into the ATTESA system, today I looked at ETS box for fault codes it showed 6 slow flashes followed by 3 fast and then 6 slow again and 6 fast. What's does this mean? And how do I fix this? Also how G- Sensors are there? I know there is one the near handbrake, If there are more where are they? Thanks
  23. thanks for response, I was told by mechanic it usually is disconnected so they can drift or get more power to rear ! I bought a awd because I thought it would be safer & handle better. im getting a bit confused looking at different answers in forum drivetrain section ! lots of answers to convert awd to rwd but not much info on getting it back to awd. if I put car on 4 stands and run it , what will happen in regards to awd , how can I tell if awd is working or not ? any suggestions ? thanx in advance to anyone who can help
  24. hey guys , newbie here , recently purchased my first skyline , its a r33 gts4 , just got my P`s , car had awd disconnected when I got it , bought s/h front drive shaft and connected it but the dash light is still stay on after start up, and how do I know if awd is actually working or not ? all info would be appreciated !
