  1. Yep even cars like Ferrari's and Lamborghini's can do with a detail from the factory. Larry from Ammo NYC posts up detailing jobs all the time with these cars, as even brand new they have imperfections: https://www.facebook.com/AMMOnyc
  2. Oh so that's what Nissan's part system is called, Nissan FAST. Downloading a copy now. It actually comes to around $125 delivered, which still isn't too bad judging by the price from Amayama
  3. I don't know the part number as Kudos Motorsports has sourced it for me. Apparently there are 2 types, 1 for Series 1 and the other for Series 2. Both the same price.
  4. Brand new OEM from Nissan. It looks like there are 2 types, 1 for post 2000 and 1 for before 2000 (so Series 1 and 2). You can get them on eBay for around $50, but I think I'd rather spend the extra money to get one brand new.
  5. Except my interior is in pretty good condition bar the aircon vent which is cracked, and I don't want to be spending $100 for a mismatched aircon vent
  6. Does anyone know if the R34 Series 2 aircon vent is the same as the Series 1? (colour wise). Picture of what I'm referring to: http://i.imgur.com/5m9OWIQ.jpg
  7. Hey guys, I'm currently after the following parts for my car: 1. R34 Boost Sensor as seen here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/R34-Nissan-Skyline-GTT-Boost-sensor-PA66-630-/181377189146?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a3aec451a&_uhb=1 2. R34 Centre Aircon vent as seen here (would like a good condition one): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/R34-Nissan-Skyline-Centre-air-vents-and-hazard-switch-/171245045377?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27df000681 Prefer if you're in Melbourne, but willing to get it posted, Thanks
  8. You'll be hard to find an Optus employee who will have access to do this, let alone will do it for you. What are you hoping to achieve by tracing the IP? Do you know if it's a static or dynamic IP, or if the person you're trying to trace is using a VPN?
  9. I don't know why it matters to him? Either way he is at fault, and his excess will be the same amount. Why is he trying to be a dodgy prick and saying most of the damage was pre-existing?
  10. Yeah he's just full of shit, thinking I'm an easy target somehow. I have their details, pictures, license plate etc. so everything is there. I only have 3rd party insurance, and they are hopeless when chasing up claims. There is no way I'm using their preferred repairer or using their assessor. This accident is their fault, so it's my choice.
  11. Nope, everyone drove away. What evidence could they suggest that the damage was pre-existing? (Such a bullshit excuse)
  12. So I finally got a reply back from the person who hit my car, and how's this for a response: "I've spoken to our repairer and in his opinion, the damage to your car looks to be preexisting and not being a result from xxx car. I will be going through our insurance and will be asking for an assessor to view your car to determine the extent of the claim. asking for my details etc....." Seriously, what the f**k? Not only is the damage to my car clearly done by them, but I had a full inspection by state roads done to my car to confirm it was in 100% order when I purchased it a few months ago, and with the damage it's simply not possible at all that it could be there before. What action should I take? I'm furious at the moment, combined with such a stressful week at Uni I simply don't have the capacity to deal with this...
  13. +1 Hopefully I can go, but not sure if I will be due to the work happening on my car
  14. If you're not at fault you're allowed to choose your own repair company (spoke to the panel beaters who told me the situation). It's an inconvenience for me having to get my car repaired, so no way am I going to one outside my suburb.
  15. Hmm, which one did you go through? I have insurance and JustCar covers up to $3,000 for uninsured damage (assuming they don't want to go through insurance) which I "think" will cover me, hopefully I won't have to pay any excess for that and JustCar takes care of it (which is their job).
  16. Yeah, tomorrow is the absolute deadline to see what they will do. I only have 3rd party fire and theft, so they are hopeless when it comes to these things. He lives an hour away from me, so even if his "friend" panel beater (which I WON'T go to) gets a cheaper quote there is no way in hell I'm driving down there. It's inconvenient enough I won't have my car for a few weeks, which the panel beater near me offers a courtesy car as well.
  17. Why are people such assholes when it comes to accidents and insurance? I've waited patiently for the other party to organise insurance and obtained a quote estimate for my car which they are saying is "too high" (why does that matter? The cost is going to be more than their excess so they'll have to pay insurance anyway) and they are checking with another panel beater. Not once have I received a "sorry for damaging your car" since my car is in mint condition If I don't receive a response from them tomorrow then all hell is going to break loose.

I have these if you need to borrow them: http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Stanley-Coil-Spring-Compressor.aspx?pid=12548#@cross
  19. Yep, I asked her how she think it happened, didn't really get a response haha I don't think the boot is caved in, it looks to be just the metal where the "Skyline" badge is (I think bumper support?) that is caved in. There is a local repairer just around the corner that looks decent, so might go there tomorrow. I wanted to get a wheel alignment soon anyway, so I guess I'll get them to include that.
  20. This happened to me today A p-plater girl hit the back of my car as I was stationary at the traffic lights. Her car had basically no damage, but mine had scratches on the bumper and the back of the car is moved in. Since my car was in mint condition I'll be making sure the repair is 100%, will also get the panel beaters to include a wheel alignment in there as it feels slightly off now. Luckily she has insurance (apparently) so I'm hoping to get it taken care of soon. Yep, also had the floor panel pushed back, it wasn't snapped, but it was hard to get out and I can't get it back in until the back of the car is fixed. Luckily nothing else seemed damaged.
  21. Spotted a Silver R33 in Hawthorn (just off Riversdale Road), looks to be my new neighbour. Anyone from here?
  22. Spotted a white R33 on Brunswick Road around 2pm today
  23. Might have to miss out on this one unfortunately, moving apartments this weekend. Will definitely go to the American car show in April if anyone else is interested in joining me http://www.aomc.asn.au/USAshow14.htm I personally prefer classic American cars the most.
  24. I'd definitely be up for a Squares Loft meeting, but yeah need more than 1 days notice, can't make tonight's unfortunately
