  1. Thanks, I've sent you a PM for the front bar
  2. Hi guys, I'm currently after an R34 Nismo Aero front bumper / sideskirts. Does anyone have one for sale / know where I can find them (for a reasonable price)? Thanks
  3. Thanks guys. I'll try to pick it up this weekend as it's available. Just need to sort out these inspections with my FTO now, too many people are hassling to view the car.
  4. Car was inspected today by Stateroads. It passed every test except for one of the struts was leaking. The strut was replaced today by the dealership (I'll confirm in person that it was, but they have a workshop there so I don't doubt it) . Everything else was perfect except for a minor faded section on the front left quarter panel, which I already knew about. The final comments for the inspector were: "THIS VEHICLE PRESENTS AS IN REASONABLE CONDITION FOR ITS AGE ,THE BODY SHOWS NO MAJOR STRUCTURAL OR MAJOR BODY REPAIR.SOME SUPERFICIAL REPAIR AND PAINTWORK TO PANELS SHOWN. THE ENGINE RUNS AND SOUNDS GOOD FOR AGE WITH NO MAJOR NOISE SMOKE OR FUMES EVIDENT DURING ENGINE TESTING. THIS VEHICLE TEST DROVE AND PERFORMED REASONABLY WELL FOR ITS AGE WITH NO MAJOR DRIVELINE OR UNDERCARRIAGE NOISE AUDIBLE ON THE TEST DRIVE."
  5. Will do I've booked StateRoads for tomorrow around lunchtime, so I'll hear the verdict then
  6. I inspected it last weekend and it appeared to be fine as far as I could tell. It had the timing belt changed along with all filters / oil change etc. I've booked Stateroads to give a more comprehensive inspection to pickup any major issues, but on the surface it seemed like a very clean car
  7. Alright I've emailed him about it and he says that's fine. Booking a Stateroads inspection now
  8. Hmm so before I pay what should I do? I don't want to purchase it if Stateroads finds faults. Maybe I can hold off paying the deposit and see if Stateroads can do in inspection on Friday? (and pay it then)
  9. I just called up and it was still available, he took it offline as someone from Queensland was coming down to inspect it. I managed to put a deposit down so it's technically mine Just need to pay it today. If there is something wrong with the car would I be able to get that deposit back? And I wanted auto as I live in the city and don't have much experience with manual yet, in a few years I might switch over to manual
  10. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/fawkner/cars-vans-utes/2000-nissan-r34-skyline-25gt-turbo-auto-coupe/1027037031 There is also a silver R34 GT-T 1998 model there that he hasn't advertised yet. I'll call up tomorrow to see if it's still available, it seemed decent when I test drove it.
  11. Yeah I noticed that today I'm going to call up tomorrow to see what's the deal. It's still up on Gumtree and the like. Really hope it's not sold, hard to find a black GT-T in good condition for that price.
  12. Hi guys, I'm fairly keen on a certain Skyline that is for sale in Fawkner as listed here: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-2000/SSE-AD-2334279/?Cr=6&sdmvc=1 I went for an inspection yesterday and as far as I could tell it seemed fine. I was just wondering if I could grab some assistance for another inspection this weekend? Ideally I'd like a member to come and help me inspect it, and if all checks out I'll put a deposit down and then get a detailed inspection by state roads before finally committing. Would anyone be free this weekend (most likely Sunday) to help out? I'm happy to pay you for your time, or shout you a slab, whatever suits. Thanks
  13. I think I'll get a manual car when I live outer city again in a few years. Pretty much 95% of driving is around the Brunswick area (Sydney road and the like) so I'll stick with automatic for now. And yep the one I inspected was: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-2000/SSE-AD-2334279/?Cr=6&sdmvc=1 The other one was a silver one they had there. 1998 with Recaro seats (they were quite comfortable), after market exhaust and different tyres. They were better tyres but I don't think they had that much tred left on them. Not as good condition as the black with a little more wear and tear, but still drove well.
  14. I test drove 2 of them today at the dealer. One was the black 2000 model and the other was the 1998 Silver model, both automatics. The GT-T Automatic definitely has enough power for me, so I might stick with automatics. The 2000 model was a little clunky going from P to R, but both seem to shift well. The black model was in pretty good condition while the silver one needed a few points of touch up. The only thing that worried me was the shifting from P to R on the black, otherwise I would have settled for it. It could be an easy fix though. Other than that the engine was smooth for both. I might need someone to come with me to inspect them both again next weekend to make sure I'm getting a good deal. I'll make a post about it, but I'll shout a slab for anyone who can assist
  15. Hmm I'm heading down to a dealer in a few hours to test drive the black one first. I currently own a tiptronic FTO and the speed of that is decent enough, so as long as it's a bit faster I'm not too worried.
  16. Why is that? I don't really plan on modding the engine if that's an issue
  17. Ok thanks, I might head down to the dealer today and have a look at the black one. Did you mean the silver one has been sitting there for a while?
  18. Hi guys, I'm currently in the market for an R34 GT-T Skyline in Victoria. I'm new to Skylines so not sure what I should be looking out for, any tips? My budget is around 10k and would prefer a clean example and automatic (I would like to get a manual but I have barely any experience in them, and living inner-city manual can get annoying). Here are some ones I've come across that look nice: (although I need to verify tomorrow if this is a GT or GT-T) http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ascot-vale/cars-vans-utes/2000-nissan-skyline-coupe-rare-blue-colour/1026705736# http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-2000/SSE-AD-2334279/?Cr=6&sdmvc=1 http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Skyline-1998/AGC-AD-13883679/?Cr=3&sdmvc=1 What are your thoughts? Thanks
