  1. Called up JustCar instead of going online. Member for 5 years, clean driving record etc etc. and I'm not eligible for any sort of discount :\ How do they expect people to stick around?
  2. haha, to be perfectly honest I'm not a huge fan of R33's. They are nice, but I just see them everywhere. The R34 has much more iconic styling.
  3. So last chance before I go ahead and take the plunge on a new front bumper. What do you guys think? I can't actually find anything better for the price. Eastbear requires a new bonnet and bumper, not to mention the real copy is incredibly expensive. Will also be buying these: http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/genuine-nissan-pitwork-front-indicator-set-clear-genuine-nissan-nissan-skyline-r34-gtr-20gt-25gt-25gt4-25gtt-gtv-p-759.html Any suggestions for something else?
  4. Hmm... do I stay with 3rd party or go comprehensive with JustRipsoffs?
  5. Just third party fire and theft. It's pushing it for the type of car, so I think I may just go with JustCars until next year
  6. Yeah I think I'm out of luck until next year haha. Here's the quotes I've got so far: YOUI: $2,200 RACV: $1,653 JustCars: $1,571 RACV Classic: N/A not in garage and "just" under 15 years old. Will have to wait until next year when I move places and the car is eligible Enthusiast: N/A Under 25 Shannons: N/A Under 25 Lumley: Waiting to hear back. Just under a year until I'm 25, so the waiting begins...
  7. I only drive my car 1, maybe 2 days a week. Not garaged at the moment, and it's just under the 15 year threshold. Will have to see
  8. Racv classic insurance seems interesting. Reckon they will issue my 2000 R34 though?
  9. It does, but it's incredibly difficult to source and from what I've seen costs $1000+ :\ I think the Top Secret bar looks pretty decent:
  10. Well that's true haha. Luckily it was only at a few km/h, and not something more serious. I think I've also decided on the Top Secret bar as well, seems to be the closest to the GTR while not costing an arm and leg.
  11. Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new bumper for my series 2 R34 GTT Skyline. I was just wondering if there's any difference between the Series 1 and Series 2 front REO? The front bumper I'm interested in is this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271544985516 I know I need to purchase new indicators for it, but do I also need to change the Series 2 REO to a Series 1? Thanks!
  12. Dammit, first accident ever. Luckily it was only minor. Hit the back of my friends motorbike at a roundabout, thought he was ready to go as it was relatively clear and he stopped, ended up hitting the back. His bike is basically undamaged, but it looks like I need a new front bumper. The good news is I was going to change my front bumper next year, so I guess it's just an early upgrade. Do I need to get a Series 1 Reo for most front bumpers? I don't want to go Series 2 again. Also, can someone link me to a decently priced aftermarket bumper? I love the GTR look but from what I've seen I'll also need to change the bonnet and quarter panels.
  13. Spotted Charles and another member (or few of you) today when I was stopped at Kangaroo ground. You might have seen my black R34 parked on the side of the road with a few of my friends
  14. Have a look if the warning button is stuck. Happened to me a few months ago and I was wondering why the indicators stopped working. Turns out the warning button was so ever slightly pressed down
  15. Nice one. While silver does show off the lines better, that black one looks amazing from that angle.
  16. Still undecided whether I'm going on the cruise tomorrow... The meeting point itself is an hour away, and I don't really know anyone there haha
  17. Nah they are too genuine. Needs to be a $2 pair from when they went to Bali.
  18. This. Plus I don't think there will be many decent cars to look at, only horribly modified Commodores and old BMW's.
  19. Yeah the Nexus is pretty good. Don't get any of the bloatware like other manufacturers and you actually receive updates for it properly as you should.
  20. I had the standard HTC One. After 3 returns to get one that wasn't defective (first 1 had dead pixels, 2nd one had light leaking from the captive buttons, 3rd one had battery issues) I gave up after using it for 4 months. The build quality was terrible despite their efforts to make a premium feeling phone. Edit: Oh and the software was also very flawed. Overly sensitive screen, crappy HTC Sense that had to be flashed to the Google Play Edition etc etc.
  21. Have fun with that phone, you'll get sick of it pretty quickly
  22. haha with iOS I'm constantly getting the App Stores adds on this forum (the one where it opens some crappy game in the App Store). Pretty annoying, don't expect that from SAU (especially considering the server can't stay up for 1 day).
  23. Why don't you just install iOS7? haha Otherwise, if you're staying on iPhone the next one will be released in a few weeks (apparently) so it's best to hold off
  24. Oh yep, I've seen the same one on Flinders street a few weeks ago
  25. Yep here's a few photos from the day, Ace Karts should have sent an email with the results to you (mine was in the spam folder):
