  1. All of these random bruises have started appearing on my back and legs haha
  2. Yeah when I spoke to them it was 10 minutes qualifying, 10 minutes practice and 15 minutes final race. I gave up in the practice after my arms were killing, hoping I'd rest a bit for the final, obviously not
  3. Took it apart and had a look at the globe, went to Kmart and they had spares in stock luckily (surprisingly, they only stocked T7 and the 12V5 globe)
  4. What's the part number for the R34 GTT tail light bulb? Can't seem to find the exact one after searching (it's the inner left tail light)
  5. Yeah JustCars is a last resort. I have been with them for 5 years on 3rd party insurance, and they have the nerve to increase my premiums this year with no accident history / clean driving record. Surely a loyal customer with a clean record would cause the premiums to decrease? :\ Would much prefer Shannons, might try call a few different operators to see if one will approve me.
  6. Yeah pretty stupid. Might have to stay with 3rd party until June next year then
  7. Didn't even get asked that. I was asked what car I drive and how old I am. After that she said we can't insure you. I then told her I have a clean driving record, part of SAU and other members have been insured under 25. She just dismissed it all
  8. Anyone know how I would go about getting insurance through Shannons? I'm 24, clean driving record with no accidents etc. I heard that because some people were paid members of SAU they were a bit more flexible? Just called up then and they rejected straight away :\
  9. Will be there, also bringing along a friend
  10. What's more worrying is that people still read news.com.au
  11. My Facebook feed is just flooded with photos from Europe lately. It's just become so cringeworthy to see now, everyone seems to only want to go there so they can post about it on Facebook.
  12. I think it's to do with the domain change recently. Change your bookmarks to www.sau.com.au instead of www.skylinesaustralia.com and it should fix it.
  13. What kind of lowlife randomly bends in my rear license plate? I don't drive like a dickhead and I always park properly, there is no incentive at all. Not sure if it was done at my apartment block or the shops...
  14. Just a reminder that this is on tomorrow If you're interested in coming please PM me, I'll then send you an address, Cheers
  15. Ahh cool, hope to see you there
  16. Looks like it's going to be 16 and sunny on Saturday might even do a cruise later in the afternoon. List of cars attending so far: Mitsubishi FTO x7 Skyline R33 GTST (maybe) Skyline R34 GTT Skyline V35 Mitsubishi Evo 7 (maybe) Mitsubishi Evo 8 (maybe)
  17. Cool, sent you a PM Simon. Adrian, I can't seem to PM you, I think you need to clear out your inbox
  18. Sounds good, just sent you a PM
  19. Various people will have tools to use, but in general yes. There will be the obvious multiple socket sets, screwdriver sets etc. you can borrow if needed
  20. We just work on the mechanics of our cars. For example, I'll be doing an oil change, adding a new pod filter and airbox, new spark plugs etc. Other members will be doing similar things.
  21. Wasteland has now turned from 90% food posts to 90% FIFO posts the past week haha
  22. Hey guys, I'm currently hosting a DIY day on the 9th of August and it would be cool to see some of you down there joining in. The event was originally organised for the FTO club, but since I own a Skyline I thought it would be cool to see some Skylines down there as well. The details for the event are: Location: Mordialloc, Victoria (will PM you the exact address closer to the date if you're interested in attending) It's a shed / factory so we have plenty of room for several cars inside and heaps outside. Time: 9:30AM - Late afternoon Date: Saturday, August 9th 2014 So far there are 7 of us attending. I'll probably bring a BBQ down as well. Let me know if you're interested! Thanks
  23. Yeah thought it might be a bit difficult having the official SAU VIC affiliated. I'm currently organising one for my other car club in August, would love to see some Skylines there and if there's enough interest bring the BBQ down (I have a large shed / factory down in Mordialloc that fits several cars inside and plenty of cars outside to work on the cars).
  24. More everyone working on their cars for the day. Not sure if it's as common for Skylines (probably because there are less issues haha), but with the FTO club we use to do them every few months where we worked on our cars with basic maintenance, upgrading parts, helping others fix their cars etc.
  25. Does SAU VIC ever have DIY days? Haven't seen any posted recently, I know in other car clubs they tend to do them more regularly.
