Which means you talk about anything... 90% of wasteland is talking about food anyway.

I've worked as a systems administrator, so yes I've dealt with many people doing IT support and part of my role was IT support as well. Web designers /developers use it because the Adobe suite of software is much nicer optimised for OSX, along with other graphic design / development software. It's not a matter of show, it's a matter of what actually works best. From experience, we rarely had to attend to the Mac users computers. It's extremely rare to get a virus and they don't slow down and get clogged up with bloatware like Windows machines, so that maintenance side of that was less strain for the admins / support team. The amount of times I had an employee come up to me complaining their new windows laptop is "slow" is crazy. I still need a desktop machine and use Windows because I prefer working with it on desktops, but when it comes down to laptops nothing compared to Macbooks in terms of the features, reliability, quality and overall polish.
-
Yeah Siri and Google Now are pretty comparable when it comes to features. I don't know anyone that uses voice recognition for much either, the only time I use it is to read messages or call someone when I'm driving.

You'll find most IT people prefer Mac actually. The ones that say they are shit are just part of the anti-Apple circlejirk who have no clue when it comes to computers. None of their arguments hold up, they all say they are "Overpriced" when in fact compared to the competition they are not. They are a premium product, which means the starting price is over $1,000, they are far from overpriced though. Google themselves pretty much exclusively uses Mac's for their employee laptops (even though Apple is their biggest competitor), every person I know that has switched to Mac laptops hasn't looked back. I work in the digital space, and deal with many different platforms (I've also worked as a systems admin and have come across a lot here). Android still has so many flaws compared to iOS. The only argument going for it that people say is the "Openness". What does that lead to? More security flaws, inconsistent UI between apps, dodgy tweaks that aren't coded properly etc etc. Android UI is so badly done that people have to get all these tweaks just to have a basic out of the box experience that iOS provides. The sandbox of iOS means these issues aren't present, while still getting the features that 99% of people need. iOS8 further closes that gap with aftermarket keyboards and extensibility, meaning you can have all these extra tweaks without compromising the operating system. The SDK of Android is also lagging, which means when people develop native apps the final product isn't as polished. The SDK of iOS gives a more consistent flow, and apps are more optimised in the end. The lack of approval on Google Play means more crappily coded and dodgy apps get through. Most people I know say they don't like iPhones because the screen is too small. Which is far enough if you really need a large screen, the majority of them still want to use iOS though (which the iPhone 6 will change with the 4.7 & 5.5 inch screens). I love working across different operating systems and use them all, but I just find it hilarious for those who try to bag Apple to seem cool with none of their arguments holding up. There's a recent trend I noticed for people who seem to hate Apple so strongly that think they are more tech focused, these are the ones that are uneducated and have no clue.

Android still has a long way to go in terms of usability and polish on the overall operating system. It's also reflected in the quality of apps, which are generally awful compared to their iOS counterparts.

Hi guys, I have for sale a brand new Apexi Pod Filter 500-A021. This was picked up from eBay about a month ago, however, for my car I needed the A-022 model and not the A-021. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Genuine-APEXi-Open-Pod-Air-Filter-Power-Air-Intake-500-A021-3-Inlet-/131004691115?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e807cf2ab&_uhb=1 Looking to get about $70 for it. Pickup in Melbourne or happy to post, Thanks!

It's more of a joke to defend Flash these days Android doesn't support Flash either, it's a dead application.
-
Yeah, going to have to agree with this haha. Everyone on my Facebook who owns a dirt bike is a bogan, I find dirtbikes incredibly annoying.
-
I'm going on Saturday, but not entering my car.

Can people who couldn't make round 1 participate in round 2? Ace Karts is an awesome track, although last time I went there 1 of the staff was a complete asshole. Took anyone who spun out off the track straight away. Because you know, it's so hard to spin out in go karts :\
-
Don't think it's lowered or modified (car is pretty much as stock as it gets besides the wheels). What specs would you recommend?
-
Will be going into the wheel alignment shop to see how they've done my wheel alignment. I take it these are the ideal settings for the R34 GTT? (taken from the manual)
-
Nope, the panel beaters took it to another shop to get the alignment done so I don't have any documentation. I knew I should have sent them an e-mail with the wheel alignment specs, most shops are horrible at getting the right specifications for imports. I remember on my last car when I needed a wheel alignment and I told them I have the specs for it, they just said "Don't worry, we'll work it out" and I foolishly believed them. Got the car back and it was terribly out of alignment, they are just too lazy to look it up. I'll be calling up tomorrow to get them to fix it, because it definitely doesn't handle as well before the alignment.
-
Thanks, I'll have a look tomorrow. I had a quick look at my car tonight (through the heavy rain) and I think they've done the alignment completely wrong though, seems the camber (and possibly toe) are out, which explains why it feels slower as well.
-
Finally got my car back today Although I don't think the wheel alignment was done properly, steering feels a lot heavier and for some reason the car feels slower :\
-
Thanks for that. Geelong is a bit too far for a simple automatic transmission flush haha. Yeah I figured I'd need 3 bottles (12L) for the full flush, will have to see what else is local
-
Unfortunately automatic transmissions are a bit more complicated to do. To drain all the fluid out you'll need a machine to pump it out, if you do it yourself you'll never 100% drain it properly. I've tried it before on my FTO and by using a few different methods the maximum I could get was 4.5L / 7.5L, it's a piece of mind knowing that you can get it 100% changed over.
-
I'm in Hawthorn, but my parents house is not far from Sabbadin Automotive so I can make it near there. Could they also do an automatic transmission flush?
-
-
Anyone know of a good automatic transmission specialist in Melbourne? Just looking to get the fluid completely drained and replaced. And what about a decent mechanic for Skylines? When the car starts in cold there is a slight rubber grinding noise, which I believe to be either a belt that's not tensioned correctly, the starter motor or the power steering pump (when the car starts moving and after I turn the steering wheel there is a noise for about a second after I finishing turning, so it could be the power steering pump or belt) not too sure. I think it's similar to this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/362803-r34-gtt-power-steering-pump/

Reviewers for one. Most prefer the shots from the 5S. I use to work as a systems administrator and I currently do mobile app development, so I've worked with my fair share of phones from the different platforms. Both iOS and Android are good platforms, I just can't stand the people who dismiss one or the other, it makes them look stupid and 99% of the time they have no idea what they are talking about. This is true. The iPhone 5S processor is faster than the S5 though, even though on paper the specifications are lower.
-
It depends what you're after. Most people consider the iPhone 5S camera to be superior to the Galaxy S5, not to mention other hardware features like a much better fingerprint sensor, better build quality and no bloatware on the OS.

Care to elaborate?
